Whats up? I did a speaker comparison between my S10 plus and my S21 plus last night and was astonished at much better the S10 plus speakers were. Even the screen looks better on my S10 plus. If I hadn't gotten such a good deal on the S21 plus, I would definitely keep my S10 plus. I paid $471 including taxes for a Tab S7 and a S21 plus. And I also recieved $50 towards accessories. But unfortunately I have to trade in my phone in order to recieve my $550 credit. Perhaps you can do a side by side comparison between the two aforementioned phones.

Why didn't you mention that the whole phone vibrates when listening to loud music or watching TH-cam on full volume? This makes this phone literally garbage for me! Last Samsung that didn't vibrate like crazy when listening to loud sounds is S9/S9+
BTW the sound is DRASTICALLY worse than in my S9+

Reasons I went with the S21+ over the Ultra:
-Ultra is too big
-QWHD is nice but I don't mind FHD
-Battery life almost as good as the Ultra
-Ultra's camera is only marginally better. I find the 100x zoom to be a gimmick.
-Video recording is the same
-I prefer the flat screen over curved
Isn't the ultra basically the same size as the plus?
@@ScienceBitch123 no, ultra is a little taller and also 20gram heavier, very hard to hold if you have Average or tiny hands
Yes 100x is gimmick but that optical 10x is really something tho
Me too, the Ultra is very big & heavy. Very happy with the plus, Phantom Violet. The 888 is blazing!

I went from the Galaxy S4 to the S21+ and it is a big upgrade for me, obviously. I love this phone. It is nice having a phone where the battery lasts all day and more.

Watching on my S21+ and i really really love it, it's very good overall, i don't need 100x zoom, i don't mind WQHD+ display because FHD is very enough for me, i don't like a heavy device, i love the design of S21+

hi Mike, great video. using the Samsung 'phone info' app, are you able to see what the main rear sensor is on this camera? some people are reporting that it will no longer show that particular detail on android 11.

I did watch the S21+ teardown, and the microphone is actually placed a bit to the side. Even if you poke a pin right up until end the mic won't be damaged 😄
UPD: It has the 3 mic for the camera, it's hidden under the flashlight, isn't it cool? 😉
Correcting: first curved Galaxy S phone was S6 Edge, so all the previous were flat. S21 isn't the first one

There is actually a microphone at the back of the device near the flash, you can see on some teardowns but samsung decided not to put a hole on it,maybe because of condensation issues from the past models
Is there a delay with focus like on the S20?
I almost got the ultra, but I really don't think I'd take advantage of the extra features for the camera. Hope it's good...

see, there are 2 hole on the top.
edit : mic on the phone was put in sideways, so if you poke that hole,you wouldn't damage anything
upgraded my s6 edge for a s21 really nice phone ....the s6 still works fine i keep it as a spare

@@cloud6501 apologies for the late reply, i got the regular s21 bc of the "small" size I've never really like big screen phone but battery has been amazing once it learned my patterns i can last a day and a half with no problems and that includes some heavy usage so i would say go for it and if you like big display choose the plus variant hope this helps

The lack of MST in Samsung Pay is a dealbreaker for me.
I might be able to live without external storage given that so much that happens on these phones now go from the cloud. My S20+ already sits at 1080p, so that's no big deal to me. Most of the "downgrades" are things I can live with/without, but I actually use MST on a regular basis.

I've had the s9 for two years and never get accidental touches with the curved display. Samsung software has solved that issue for a long time
yeah, i don't know why all reviewer have an accidental touch problems😅
I still have the s9+ and sometimes I still have accidental touches. Not often but they do happen
I have the s10+ and I do get accidental touches. I had to turn off the side panel. I like the curved screen though. Kind of sad to not have it on the s21+ (just ordered it)
S9 is a OG phone.. love it..

@mike obrien is this a dual sim phone?? Before ordering i did thorough research which stated that its 2 sim. However when i received the phone i was really disappointed in it
Had a pixel 2xl for like the last 4 years. Finally upgrading to this. Should be a huge upgrade, considering my pixel's screen is failing and look like garbage.
Trying to decide on buying the s21+ since the pre-order started (replacing my s10 mostly due to the fact I want a 120Hz screen). I dont mind the missing charger or SD slot but I would mind a lot a noticeable lower quality screen. I am using my s10 on FHD but I am concerned that due to a much lower ppi, even at the same resolution, the S21+' screen clarity will be lower. Can anyone confirm?

Anything over 320 ppi would be fine unless you really pay attention for their quality differences. Remember apples retina display? Thats around 330 ppi.
Nice review. Ended up buying the regular s21.. love the "glastic" so far. Came from pixel 4 which didnt do it for me as the pixel 3 did. Therefor the switch this time :) loving it so far.
That's a smart switch. The Pixel 4 was an amazing phone but with too many critical flaws (e.g. battery life)

I've S20+ from last year and tried S21/S21+ at Samsung Experience Store recently. All I can tell you, is the screen quality in terms of vibrant colors at 1440p is different level and definitely it's a downgrade from my point of view. I was really excited about S21 series and intended to upgrade from my S20+ but really don't want now. Only plus thing is absolutely flat screen on S21 and S21+ cause I really don't like curved one on my S20+ though! I'll keep my S20+ definitely..
Same thing. I have the s20 and I'm keeping it for another year. Too many downgrades to deal with in order to get the new phone. Lower screen resolution, no memory card...

I am getting the buds 2 and notice it supports Bluetooth 5.2, is there a problem with the plus since that one only does 5.0?
It doesn't matter, if they able to connect with 5.2 - it isn't means that you must use only that.
There are so negligible differeces between them.

1080p was a good choice by samsung. Screens are to small to really benefit from 1440p. All higher resolution does is burn battery with only a very small difference in pq.
I can't decided between the galaxys 21+ or the ultra ? I tend to watch a lot of TH-cam and love taken pictures of nature which one would be better ? ( btw I have galaxys s10+ right now ).
It depends what your preferences are, if you like QHD and little bit more RAM go with the ultra but if u want to save a few bucks but still getting a great return on a smartphone with a pretty good camera go with the s21 plus

I have the same exact s21 plus. Phantom Lavender. Great phone. My last phone kept up with it but not as beautiful as the s21 plus screen. My old phone was an lg v50 and then i had an s9 plus. This phone outshines my old ones. I love how the speakers on the s21 plus sounds as well.

I got this as a gift. Its a huge jump from my LG K51 which is the best budget phone ive ever had.
Got it for my parent. Paid $520 each for new on ebay. This is huge upgrade for their old phones. :) anyway, I got black model and I actually poked microphone with sim card ejector. Unlike light model, u cant really see sim card slot line clearly unless there are a lot of lighting. I was installing it at night with some lighting and noticed ejecting pin didnt go all the way through. Then I put more light and noticed I was poking wrong hole. I checked bunch of sight on google and they all said sim card ejector pin are not deep enough to damage microphone anymore. They changed design so even if u poke it wrong, u will be fine unless u poked it like pin breaking hard. :) what a relief.

Just upgraded from an S7 edge to this phone (got it from a pawn shop for 408 EUR) and I really like it, got adjusted to it really fast and it just feel normal. I especially love the battery life, unlike my old s7 this one lasts 2 days or more. Hope it will last me for at least 6 or 7 years :))

my old S7 fell out of my back pocket 2 weeks ago and got run over, screen was moderately crushed at the bottom but worked fine.... until a couple hours ago it fell out of my hands and I kinda caught it with my foot but then slipped off it onto the floor flat onto the screen (it did have a case that extends beyond the screen) which buggered up the bottom of the screen, I could NOT unlock the phone with the pattern or fingerprint so JUST got the 21+.... SO SO disappointed with the lack of additional Micro SD card slot, that was a big piss off for me.
