if I'm being brutally honest. Samsung's cameras offer greater versatility over the iphone, however samsungs software continues to fall short of Apples. every time i open mY Samsung camera app and try to take a photo really quickly, it lags. it lags swapping between front and back cameras. it lags swapping between modes. Its not a huge lag, but its enough to annoy me, especially when you're in a hurry. Apple doesn't have this problem. i have an s21+ and an iPhone 12 and i phone experience is so much smoother. The older i get, the less and less i care about all Samsung's extra features they throw into their phones, which is lightyears ahead of apple, and more about the smooth, seamless software experience. I've been a Samsung user literally since the s4 right up to the s21. i must say, i think I'm in the apple camp now.
In Singapore the S21 plus is about S$975 (basic 256gb) while the iPhone 12 Pro is S$1500 (256 gb). That is alot of difference & definitely S21 plus is more worth. Both brand new.
Not true though, this review was full of bias.. He said the S21 plus only lasted 1 hour extra in battery than that measly 2800mAh battery on the iphone 12/12 pro, if he was talking about the 12 pro max, then I can understand, but the 12 pro? nah that thing has a weak-ass battery life.. and the battery health on the iphone 12 series goes down very fast.. in just 1 month, mine went down from 100% health to 89%!!.. This is just 1 month we are talking about, 30 freaking days!

Nice comparison. After using iPhones since the 3g, I’m finally kicking apple to the curb, as their quality isn’t climbing as fast as their price and have been going downhill since Jobs passed. My last visit to the “genius” bar sealed their fate for me. I look forward to breaking free with the s21+.

One thing to consider as well is the phone size. I took my first trip and not having an ultra wide or a telephoto was such a realization to how much the Xr has aged in the camera category for photos, but is still a king in video recording. As well, the size made it hard to use my phone as a GPS due to the size and my clip not being able to hold it. However, the S21+ has a bigger battery and in theory should have better battery life when using the GPS. So those features people also have to look at it that I never thought of until then.

I got the Galaxy A52 5G for T-Mobile and I love it shoots great pictures you can even make the pictures with emotion view it's just an outstanding phone iPhones or constricted and don't let you do anything outside of the Apple platform and they make you even pay for a charger that is not in a box

Android is way better than iOS imo, very customizable and have plenty of features and non store apps that iOS will never have

That's what a real unbiased review is called I loved it.. Here's is my words after using s21 Plus (Exynos) for some time that everything is good you will find no complaints but what issues I have faced is first the battery backup and even on power saving mode it's mehhh! like sometimes I get screen on time of 7hr 22min (most of the time flight mode) and some time I get 5hr even on the same usage.. Idk but overall it's a good phone
Show me a moon shot from the iphone and compare it to the same shoot taken on Samsung 😉😆 now tell me the iphone 📷 it's better , try to run 🏃♀️with the iphone while recording at 4 k and try it with the Samsung. It's so refreshing to find a review/comparison of these two "mid range" phones. For the life of me, I cannot decide whether I should wait on the next Samsung S22 (or +) or the iPhone 13 (pro). I've been meaning to switch to a smaller phone and fell in love with the iPhone...but then again, Samsung anounced a smaller phone. Argh! The fact that I don't own ANY other Apple product makes the leap pretty intimidating.
Me 2 bro i am from exynos region i hope this years exynos is way better than any exynos ever existed and Want to see s22 comes with plastic or glass back as its expensive so plastic back will be a big no for me As its 6 inch display is also what i require I hope they don't make wrong decisions this year
It depends on what I'm using it for. For example - the S21+ is definitely the one I pick up when I want to game. But if I want to shoot video or create content and then share it with airdrop - iPhone.

I've got the samsung s21 plus....in comparison to the regular s21, and s21 ultra, the plus model is the perfect model of the 3, considering size, flat screen...and still having 120hz. I feel like iphone is cornered. Iphone is nice, but samsung seems much slicker and professional. Also, no screen dimming and doesn't when over heated.

Also, if you like your Samsung, go ahead, use it, I don’t care. I like my Apple ecosystem, so leave me alone. Also it’s pretty funny how you reply on a year old comment. Yes, if I was young def go for Android, not Samsung though until Exynos improves. As a slightly older person, I appreciate the simplicity of the iPhone and that my iPhone XS Max will get updates for six years and still works flawlessly with 95% battery capacity. Each to their own but all the extras on the s21U mean more to some than others, so it is all very subjective?
I'm not switching to crapple and didn't I hear Samsung is now giving 5 years of updates starting with the s21 version? I do keep my phones generally until they have funky symptoms. Usually when the battery starts to mess up the system. I truly was thinking about the ultra, but there's about a 130 price difference. And I'm a poor guy. I always wait until a phone has been out for a year or two then search for new older quality phones. I'm actually watching this on my Pixel 3 XL. Still giving me about 4 hours screen on time and is in pristine condition. Always cased, never dropped. Not 1 scratch. Cause I don't pocket my phone. I am a front facing stereo speakers guy so not thrilled that Google didn't go with that anymore. And I know the Samsung doesn't either. I really like the Xperia phones, but then again, cost. I like top end phones, but Sonys hold their price too long. Ridiculous. And with only 2 of 3 years updates? Insane. But their phones have what I like. The s21plus, does sound good and right now you can buy new for just over 300. Hell, I've seen Pixel 3 XLs new for that. And no new updates past 12. It's only the speaker setup that makes me,,, question it. Thanks, good review 👍

Great comparison. I prefer the more natural look of photos with the iPhone 12pro. I've been using android since it first started and also started using iOS a few years later. Apple's devices and iOS have not only got more powerful but also more integrated. Meanwhile, Google's lack lustre support for tablets, poor watch approach and power of the new mac books for me moving increasingly towards apple devices. After LG stepped out of the android market, my last android phone looks like it will be my LG v60 with the best audio around as well as the dual screen option etc. My last Samsung was the note 9 which I still have but since then Samsung seemed to loose interest in notes for power and versatility.
Apple iPhone vs Samsung Galaxy again... Well, I think better buy Huawei phone based on Harmony OS and their Mobile Service for Something really Different

Wait for the S22 Ultra if you can as you get the Exynos, a sub-par chip in the UK, hence why it has freefallen in price on eBay. Also, in the UK you can get the Mi 11 Ultra, probably the best Android phone ATM. I am personally deciding between the Mi 11 Ultra and the Pixel 6 Pro or if the P50 Pro is as good as they say that, the S21U does not even enter the conversation, have been burned by the crapfest that was the Exynos S20U, worst flagship of 2020!
Thanks Martin. If you already own the 12 Pro Max - I would keep it - unless the S21 Ultra provides value to you in a very specific way. AndyH_England makes a great point about the Exynos (vs the Snapdragon 888). Hope that helps.
It does help really well Thankyou so much 👍 , I’m just getting a bit tired of being restricted with Apple I own loads of there products iPhone 12 Pro Max the iPad 11 pro the iwatch series 6 and some AirPods you see so I’m quite locked in .

God the iPhone looks so outdated as their shape hasn't altered much since the iPhone 1 & they charge the earth for them,android is far better to be honest. And safari security is getting troubles to. Samsung is definitely a better phone.

I feel like iphone is cornered. Iphone is nice, but samsung seems much slicker and professional. Also, no screen dimming and doesn't when over heated.

I'd personally always choose the iPhone because of the integration, reliability, longevity and most of all, the ecosystem, but there's no arguing that I feel like Apple is years behind at times.

longevity? Both apple and Samsung have about the same software support, plus most of the time after apple doesn't get anymore update, the phone is basically useless lol
@@areldcookie5581 iPhone 6S still had iOS 15. That’s 6 years, on the latest software update. And they still keep updating it after that, only not with major versions.
Galaxy S7 is the Samsung from 2016. It’s stuck on Android 8. Also you get your update months after the Google phones.
Please do not speak of things you don’t know much about. Also, if you like your Samsung, go ahead, use it, I don’t care. I like my Apple ecosystem, so leave me alone.

Yes, if I was young def go for Android, not Samsung though until Exynos improves. As a slightly older person, I appreciate the simplicity of the iPhone and that my iPhone XS Max will get updates for six years and still works flawlessly with 95% battery capacity. Each to their own but all the extras on the s21U mean more to some than others, so it is all very subjective?

I'm not switching to crapple and didn't I hear Samsung is now giving 5 years of updates starting with the s21 version? I do keep my phones generally until they have funky symptoms. Usually when the battery starts to mess up the system. I truly was thinking about the ultra, but there's about a 130 price difference. And I'm a poor guy. I always wait until a phone has been out for a year or two then search for new older quality phones. I'm actually watching this on my Pixel 3 XL. Still giving me about 4 hours screen on time and is in pristine condition. Always cased, never dropped. Not 1 scratch. Cause I don't pocket my phone.
I am a front facing stereo speakers guy so not thrilled that Google didn't go with that anymore. And I know the Samsung doesn't either. I really like the Xperia phones, but then again, cost. I like top end phones, but Sonys hold their price too long. Ridiculous. And with only 2 of 3 years updates? Insane. But their phones have what I like.
The s21plus, does sound good and right now you can buy new for just over 300. Hell, I've seen Pixel 3 XLs new for that. And no new updates past 12. It's only the speaker setup that makes me,,, question it.

I prefer the more natural look of photos with the iPhone 12pro.
I've been using android since it first started and also started using iOS a few years later. Apple's devices and iOS have not only got more powerful but also more integrated. Meanwhile, Google's lack lustre support for tablets, poor watch approach and power of the new mac books for me moving increasingly towards apple devices. After LG stepped out of the android market, my last android phone looks like it will be my LG v60 with the best audio around as well as the dual screen option etc. My last Samsung was the note 9 which I still have but since then Samsung seemed to loose interest in notes for power and versatility.

Brilliant comparison from the uk 🇬🇧, I’ve been thinking of swapping my 12 pro max for an s21 ultra is that a good idea or not would you say
Wait for the S22 Ultra if you can as you get the Exynos, a sub-par chip in the UK, hence why it has freefallen in price on eBay. Also, in the UK you can get the Mi 11 Ultra, probably the best Android phone ATM. I am personally deciding between the Mi 11 Ultra and the Pixel 6 Pro or if the P50 Pro is as good as they say that, the S21U does not even enter the conversation, have been burned by the crapfest that was the Exynos S20U, worst flagship of 2020!
Thanks Martin. If you already own the 12 Pro Max - I would keep it - unless the S21 Ultra provides value to you in a very specific way. AndyH_England makes a great point about the Exynos (vs the Snapdragon 888). Hope that helps.
