Correction: The S20+ and S21+ both have a 6.7" screen size so there is no downgrade in screen size from last generation. The S21+ is just built a bit larger to give it the flat display layout.

The finger print sensor software upgrade is the most visible, undeniable and achieved software upgrade I've seen in a while
I just got this Phone but the finger print sensor is really bad on mine... idk if it is a defect or smth but it is nothing like he shows in the video @4:13

I don’t use a fingerprint because have a glass on my screen.
@@Flavor88 put in multiple fingerprints, it helps a lot
@@demonetization6596 what I noticed as best practice is that everytime there is an update, it is best to re-register the fingerprint
Thanks for giving your first impressions on the S21+ Shane. This is the phone I bought, supposed to be here tomorrow. I thought the S21 Ultra would have been overkill for me , as I already have the Note 20 Ultra. I will be using the S21+ as my work phone. Perfect size. Looking forward to getting it.

The reason the S21 is more popular even here in Europe because you have the same specs except of a larger screen and a bigger battery. You have to shell\ out an extra €300 for only those which is way' too much imho. It should be € 1O0 cheaper to make it appealing, not mentioning the lack of a charger. Will done for video, really enjoyed it.

Shane I just got the s21+ from my wife for my birthday. She upgraded me from my s8+. This phone is awesome! This makes my s8+ which I loved a Smithsonian piece. Very happy

The exclusion of a mircoSD card slot isnt a big deal to me. I've had my S10 for 2 years and have only used 50ish gb of storage. What are people putting on their phones to max out 256gb? or even 128...
Bloggers and social media influencers need the expandable storage.
4k and 8k video takes about 5 to 10 gb with 10 minutes of recording.

My first Android phone was the Galaxy S2. My first wow phone was the S7edge, after the S3,Note3,Note 4,S8+,S9+,..S10+ wich is my backup phone. This S21+ is a brilliant device. For me perfect. I had my doubts about the lack of the SD card, but I don't miss it. Enough memory.

Upgraded from my S9+ to my S21+ fairly recently. Got the Phantom black in 256gb of storage. Within my month of ownership, this phone never siezes to amaze me. The camera quality is AMAZING. So many settings to play with, and it's blazing fast compared to my S9. Samsung definitely improves their products as they continually come out. Best phone I've owned so far

@@nayaholic66 Definitely! Going on four months of owning the phone and I enjoy using it. The fingerprint reader is a little finikey to use at times, but besdie that, the camera is great. There are so many different modes to play around with from the factory, the phone is very easy to use, and the 120hz display makes for app transitions, game play, and day-to-day use a piece of cake
I'm using the S10, it's almost reaching end of it's life since the battery is constantly giving up on me.
Do you think the S21+ screen feels like a downgrade coming from WQHD ?
@@danstheory4164 Actually I find the S21s screen a lot smoother. With it being 120hz, it makes game play and transitions so much smoother. I never had a smoother gaming experience out of a phone with how crisp specific objects came out and how smooth the characters would just move. The screen, and even the Snap Dragon Triple 8 processor makes this phone worth the investment in so many ways

Just wandering, how do you activate it and use it as your primary phone, once the phone is delivered? Do you have to take the sim card out of your old phone and put it in the new S21 plus?
Yes. SIM card goes into the new phone. Must switch all information to the new phone first. Go to your local phone shop and they can assist you. Make sure to give a tip.
These trade-in deals are great. Loving my S21+, the 888processer is extremely fast, plus the 120hz display. I don't mind the 1080p display. After 5days of heavy use I'm getting 8hrs SOT, not bad? So I'm not missing the 1440p display? I'd rather have better 🔋power as opposed to the 1440p. Great review!

Hello, I just bought an s21plus too. Tested out the camera and found the digital /hybrid zoom is good up to 3x hybrid or 4x digital, beyond that it's only fair image quality. But as a general 5g phone, it is more than enough for most people. The s21 ultra is simply too expensive to justify for the most part. I come from a samsung s10plus
Yes, I would prefer the 21+ among the three. It's the best size and the best weight. The Ultra is not user friendly.

Thanks for reviewing the + which seems to be the unloved middle child of the range. I live in New Zealand where the S21 is $1400, the S21+ is $1800 and the S21 Ultra is a whopping $2500, so the S21+ is a great option for those who want a larger screen but don’t want or need to spend a Kings ransom for the Ultra.

I’ve had my S21+5G since Friday and I love it. I am switching over from my 11 Ultra Pro Max to the S21+5G. It’s faster, love the 120 herz screen speed and the other features that it has on it.
How you finding switching from Apple to Samsung? Still loving it?

So, how do you use all of these features if the phone doesn't come with a charger or adapter?
I'm keeping the s20+ I have better screen, charger, headphones, expandable storage and 3 years of updates... I think the 22 series would be the real upgrade.
@E U as u said late, S20 plus doesn't worth anything more than 650 USD. In India, it's available at about 620 USD. I'm speaking about Exynos.

Not massive but definitely yes
1080p 120hz looks great but I must say the QHD 120hz is exrta crispy on the S21 Ultra. Overall not a massive difference

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I hate the display. I moved from an S8, and while I know the tones there might be warmer, in general I find it doesn't compare well. Is it because it's been a while 😅? Is this what displays are like now?

I am really interested to buy this but I'm not in the US. So, really the question I have is the Exynos 2100 works just fine for light surfing right? For Instagram, Whatsapp? How about for light work stuff like Microsoft Word and Powerpoint? Video editing capabilities? Also have you experienced any overheating issues?

I prefer that matte design it's better than glass , like you feel that you can grab it easily without fearing that it will slip off you hand plus it looks clean and beautiful

that is some contrasting colour difference....Samsung's phantom black(blackest of the black) and your hand (whitest of the white)

Yes, just got mines, it does come with a screen protector, you can feel it around the edges and visible on the punchout cam
