To be honest, the ability to manually adjust the step length to be something that AINT a multiple of 3 or 4 is really better than most entry level DAWs.
Ah, GB Camera DJ -- such a rad little thing. Actually used my own to make a backing loop for a poem I wrote way back in college. Man, can you imagine how awesome it'd be for Nintendo to release an expanded version of this for the Switch? Multiple loops, exporting songs in some fashion (via microSD card or the like), touch controls for selecting notes? I imagine you'd get some pretty Authentic GameBoy Sounds from it too, provided emulated GB sound hardware sounds close enough to the real thing. (And I mean, there's plenty of SFX/Pokémon cries in Sword/Shield that seem to do just that~) ...I mean, that's almost certainly a pipe dream. But, still -- it's nice to think about.
Although I have LSDJ for few years and I'm aware about stuff like nanoloop or mGB, I even modified my Game Boy with custom parts, but I didn't know that there was an official way to make a music on Game Boy :D
It would be great if you'll find a LSDJ cartridge for gameboy or run in through the emulator and try ro make music on it. It's a music sequencer for gameboy and it's really fun to use it!
the dj effects really make it stand out... if they would have added just a few extra things like recording and play back things could be so epic but this itself is really amazing on its own and i remember how fun this was as a kid
2 weeks late but the reason the 2nd sound channel doesn't have volume is because it's a triangle channel. Triangle channels have the quirk of either being max volume or off.
I have 2 similar ideas for a video: Making a song using Famitracker Making a song using the Family Composer (a Famicom Disk System game) (must be using Fceux since by combining the emulation speed changing (preferably by setting a custom speed ) (I know that you know emulation. You emulated Mario Paint on a SNES emulator and you also used Vmware Workstation Pro) and the RPM slider from the game, you can change how the rhythm section sounds like)
Go outside in the morning and record birds sing and then make a beat of the recording. I would be so happy if you could do this. P.s. you’re music is great
My god this game brings back so many memories.😍 although not all good! I have no idea how I got the game boy camera, but there were 2 photos on it that scared the shit out of me as a child, slightly edited with the picture editing part of the "game", but I believe on one of the little games it would pop up at the end like a jump scare and I remember never playing that game for a long time 😂
In 2014 or so I bought FL studio mobile, I just don't have the patience for the limited work flow, unless I was broke. Now the GBC?! Man I would go crazy

That's one of the creepiest pieces of software/hardware made by Nintendo. *Ever*

You always find ways to make music with the weirdest things. I never knew the Gameboy Camera had a music making game.
8 Weeks from now: Making music with a pancake

I bet he’s going to make a video making music on a gameboy camera. 😂just imagine how stupid a person has to be to make that kind of thing lol

Make music with LSDJ! It's a DAW specifically made for the Gameboy!
Lsdj is fun
I WAS JUST ABOUT TO COMMENT THIS!!! I have it for my GBA SP and holy crap is it fun and sounds good!
the song in the end lowkey make me wanna go to church
I love chiptunes, I love Melodics and I def love Levi! you killed it as always my man!
Well, chipzel made spectra using gameboys only and mastering it in logic.
I am waiting for the moment when Levi Niha makes a song using mayonnaise

You should make music in LMMS Pleaseeee....
Even if you do, I love the content and will always be watching these videos ;)
Yeah I mentioned that a while ago in one of his videos, he didn't reply, but honeslty LMMS is horrible. Would be interesting to see him try in it
@Bob Ross I also used it when I started music production. Pretty crappy sounds and interface but its better than most payed mobile applications.
@Bob Ross I suggest the fl studio demo. You can learn alot on it until you 'buy' the proper version
