Good episode! This is my 8th year of nuisance trapping woodchucks, possums and skunks on my small property. Been using 160's which work just great. Bought a few commercial kill traps from WCS over the winter as well as a few weasel boxes to catch chipmunks. By the way, the first edition of your magazine is very good! I think it's missing a few photos maybe? Good job!
I have caught beaver in a 220 . It all comes to how you have the trigger wires set . Just like I talked and seen some that have otter mess up their 330 . It is because how they have the wires set on the trap . I seen some otter that had to rings around the skin it show that the person did not have the wires set right.
Any time I have a handful of conibears tangled up on my line, you can hear me yelling "damn it frank!" Lol. I use 280's and 330's for beaver and otter, I lean towards the 280's just to be weird
Would a 220 Conibear trap be at least fairly reliable on coyotes? Where I'm at of course 330 traps cannot be used on dry land. I've got a situation of nuisance 'yotes, but cannot check the traps twice a day or even daily. Thanks!
Frank Conibear gave us a great tool for sure !
yes, it revolutionized trapping

You left the best ones out the RBG
yes, those are getting quite popular. I mentioned them briefly but don't have any on hand to show.
@@trappingtoday check them out they are my favorite
good info, thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Do you have a video like this for foot traps also?
No but I should, that's a good idea

You’d be lucky to get a coyote to go through a #220.
@@coniottboys Thx!
Where did you buy it?I want one please.
the 280 is my bread and butter. It'll catch lynx and wolverine and oddly enough I take more marten in my 280s than my 120s.
The european marten are a bit bygger than the american one, so 160 is very often used for marten over here.
interesting, thanks!
Newbie here can I paint my body grip traps ?
Yes.
