Am I the only one wondering how he got staples that are that easy to drive in.
Where do you send them to be tanned? Thank you
It’s not dumb it’s a learning experience great video
Are dim wosels (some people call dim weasals) like squrels, purty good eatin?
Your trapping videos have been very helpful and I enjoy watching a trapper from my home state because you have to wor with the same laws. It's hard to stch trapping from a state with different laws and techniques not allowed in ours. Give us one more season please!
Glad to see you’re alive! Haha good luck this season! Talk to ya soon!
LoL 😆, that honey due list will do it every time.
was just listening to your old podcast's.. keep up the good work. If you do podcast from the truck when your driving get a good mic. to much random noise from the truck will drown out your voice.
Our market on Raccoon was not good until later on in the year gfw was paying up to 7-10$ here for eastern! Thanks for sharing good to see you back
I was just thinking about you and about your farming and logging videos.
whatever you decide to do i hope you the best ive been there thinking about videoing my trapline but i really do not want people to know where i trap so i do not blame ya
Nice to see you again.
WE ARE BACK IN THE FUR SHED!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!
Glad to see you back
Long time no see. Looked for you at both conventions. Hope all is well!
I moved from Iowa to New York. 42 Yeats trapping experience. I'm starting a channel. TheMuddyAcresHomestead. Check it out. I'm not a tech guy but thought people may enjoy an old school approach
In my weasel box with a rat trap. I have put a fresh Quail I put down or it died inside this box and they don't go near it! I don't even think they paid any attention to it. Reason I made a box is there was one dead under my truck last spring! I have never lost any quail/chickens to a weasel. Never seen any tracks in the snow as well! I bet they are around cuz I see a dead one! Glad they seem to leave my coops alone and the birds!! For now anyways!
Hey hello! Your to far north, but is there any seal trapping?
Will the lure still be available or will you be closing up shop as well as slowing down with TH-cam? Thank for all you have done for the trapping community, especially here in the northeast.
I love you tube channel but I also understand life challenges. Thank you for all you have done for trapping.
My son and I are doing are first marten trapping trip up in the NMW. This season.
Hope you can take us on the 24 25 season...your in some very nice woods up there..
He'll be back!
Nice Marten!
Nice Work.
Is the podcast ever coming back
Awesome work on this channel! I just subscribed today, Looking forward to more content.
When people reference these prices, this is for fleshed and dried? Not tanned right?
yes fleshed and dried
Our 6x6 exclusion works on bobcat lynx and hounds. With 4x4, you can't trap raccoons.
Thank you!👍🏻🇺🇸
We have to do dog and lynx exclusion on all 6 and 7 inch body traps. But we just put the trap back 8 inches from the opening. The slots have to be 8 inches. and the opening is 6 inches maximum.
This old guy , take those loppers in your trapping bucket file noches inside the handles like a giant nut cracker . Sets conibears and dog proofs.
great info, cant wait to get into trapping this year and make a fortune... or maybe help pay for gas.. will always love the outdoors.
just getting into trapping *MN. .. cant wait to take my daughter and son with me.
Very nice good job
Wow beautiful place, nothing better than a good rat line, Barefoot trapper east coast southland trapper
Trappers trap for the love of trapping.!! Whatever money they can recover is just a bonus.
Says you
@muddyriverdogz says all the trappers i know. There is no money in trapping anymore. What other reason is there?
@@LenSwartz-x1v Most of the trappers i know have there traps in box's in the attick for years now.
The ruble is down because we did that. They were an Allie untill the current administration. They ruined our treaty with russia. Then russia figured they were free to wag war with someone. They did buy most of our fur. China wants it. But won't pay much. They make it to every auction.
The mink ranches around here closed up shop. I assumed from fur prices.
Great unboxing! Thanks for sharing
Buy no. BS dogproofs instead of footholds
Rumors I heard for rats was 5 bucks, thanks for clearing that up
Thanks for the demo, this is exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for posting.
some people complain about the extra time it takes but if it saves me stress and heartache I'm for it. love mine
I can’t find that model of PIT online anywhere.
How long will the Essence last for, like a best before date concept. It’s illegal to have pepper spray in Canada but what if a skunk sprayer? 🤔
You'll spend that much on gas.
Ajnd look at the cost of vehicles, tires and parts.
Does the sac oil need preservatives?
Very good information, thanks much!!
Hi, been looking at your drumming video, do you still drum your fisher and marten pelts. Am interested in the idea of drumming and wondered if really is worth it. Thank you
It maybe true that there are many issues that are contributing to the decline of a specific species in any particular regions. It is very hard especially with animals that are migratory. Still, no matter what may be the cause, why would we want to hasten the decline of any animals, even if it is a very minute number. There have been many instances where certain programs have successfully reintroduced native species to their original habitats: wolves in Yellowstone, MuskOx in Alaska, bald eagles in North America, etc. Other instances where there was re-introductions that haven’t been so successful, for example many different species of Whales, who by their migratory issues spend time both in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, are still being overfished by Countries like Iceland, Norway, and Japan. There has also been issues around Cape Cod, Massachusetts, U.S.A., with the successful rebound of the Sea Lions, have radically altered the number of Great White Sharks that are now spending time there, which has ended with one death, and several attacks, although it IS still a very remote chance that you will become a victim ( My family has had a summer home there since the 1970s) This brings me neatly to the fact that there are often lies (too strong a word, but not sure of another one that would be more appropriate) that a lot of people believe: ie that the increase in Sea Lions have greatly reduced the amount of fish available for fishermen or that powdered Rhino horn can have a medical benefit. Sorry, don’t mean to babble on, but just wanted to lay out how I do understand how a complicated the issue is. I believe that a common sense approach, w/o harsh rhetoric from either side, would work, or at least wouldn’t make it any worse. Hunters/Trappers who are living a sustainable lifestyle should be eligible for limited permits, for example there are certain Alaskans that because of their cultural heritage are allowed one whales and there are also individuals who really live off the land who maybe SHOULD also be allowed a limited license. I grew up in Pennsylvania, in fact as a kid, we got the first day of Buck Season off and the opening of doe season could be a legal absence, you just had to bring in a copy of the current year’s license. I know the value of culling the herds so the animals don’t suffer, especially during the winter months. In addition there are plenty of invasive species, on both land and water, that if you aren’t going to utilize the majority of the animal for food, fur (and/or skin, fat ) or that by hunting you aren’t assisting somehow in the betterment of the species, maybe people should explore other avenues or at the very least really give it some thought. What I don’t agree with is the argument that you have a right to hunt/trap/fish anything you want just because you enjoy it as recreation or sport. Wild Hogs are causing an incredible amount of damage in places like Arkansas and aren’t supposed to be there, there are Boa Constrictor competitions in Florida and there are snakehead fish that are not supposed to be there, and they are eating all the native wildlife. All of these animals create quite a hunting challenge and individuals have started running and operating tracking-hunting lodges, clubs etc. Maybe I’m way off base, but I am so exhausted with how the politicians, special interest groups etc are so invested in radicalizing every issue just because by keeping all of us dumb and divided, it benefits them! Sorry-I’ll step off the soapbox. 😜
