When I was a kid in Chicago my neighbor bought a 1967 Ventura.
I instantly fell in love with that body style. 1968 was also good.

My 1st car was the 1967 Pontiac Executive, 2-door hard top, White Body, Black vinyl top, Black interior, 400 engine with Rochester 2-barrel carb. I wish i still had it, brings back some good times !! also back in the early 1980s i had a chance to buy a 1967 Pontiac blue body, 2-door hard top with no engine or trans for $1000. I could kick myself for not buying it ! Pontiac made good cars during the 50s, 60s, & 70s ! Great video thanks for the memories !!!

I always loved the styling of the mid sixties full sized Pontiacs. For me from the late fifties through all of the sixties is when American cars showed a lot of style. I mean you could almost tell a persons personality from the make and model of the car they drove. Or at least what they wanted you to think they were like.

Hey Lou, I was 17 years old when my Dad was a service mngr. at a Pontiac dealer in Defiance, Ohio in 1967. The 2+2 was made for several years ,and they didn't add seven cubic engines just for the 2+2. They made the 428 for all the big Pontiacs for the simple reason ,they didn't make the 421 anymore . The V8's back then were the 350 , 400, and the 428 ,and no tri power carb set up . A single 2 barrel, and single four barrel carburation only. Rochester 2 barrel , and Rochester Quadra jet 4 barrel carbs respectfully.............

Very nice restoration of a classic 2 + 2. I had a 67 Bonneville 2dr red with the stock 389/400. It was a great car that I got a lot of enjoyment out of. I think I put 40,000 miles on with no problems outside of a brake job and regular oil changes. I wish I had it back today in the same condition it was when I owned it. I got into speed and traded it in for a 69 Chevelle..I owned 4 different models of the big Pontiacs and enjoyed them all and somehow coincidentally they were all solid red ones. Later on I did own a grey and silver downsized 85 grand prix with a factory stock chevy engine. It was ok but nothing like the big real Pontiacs. Again you have a very nice example of Pontiacs best and should be quite proud of it.

I had a red '67 Bonneville 2 door with the 400 V8 and hydromatic transmission. Virtually the same car but a 124" hardtop with black vinyl roof with bench seat and drum brakes vs 121" convertible with bucket seats and front disc brakes. Front and rear bumper, and the grille were identical. Bonnevilles had a softer ride and rear tire skirts. The 2+2 was not based on the Bonneville. It's was actually a custom Catalina with the 428 HO engine package and a stiffer suspension for a performance ride. This one is spectacular. Just finding parts must have been a major challenge.

An absolute masterpiece 👍🏽 the colour is mind blowing! The engine and engine bay is beautiful 😍 I could live in there . So much room. Gorgeous back end with striking taillights. Plus what a plush interior ✔️ i love the fact that it’s manual and out of the 3 Pontiacs so far seen I’d say my favourite so far. Phenomenal! Thanks for the glimpse of a beautiful show car Lou. I would have loved to have seen it out on the road as with the other 2 but I can understand why that wasn’t possible. If I had it I doubt that I’d be taking it out very often. Hubert (Hugh)

Hey Lou, snooping around I found this '67 Pontiac Awesome car. My Grand father picked up my Uncles '67 Bonneville I use to ride in quite a bit. I still remember the smell of that car. I would clean the white walls tires while he would visit with my mom at age 8 or 9. That was one of my favorite styled cars. Although after seeing other Pontiac styles after 1967 the full sized cars took on a lot of plastic inside.

The 421 was dropped for all large Pontiac's in 1967. The 428 was not just for the 2+2. It was for all the large Pontiac's. 1966 was the last year for the 421,and the 389 , including the Tri Power set up. My Dad was a Service Manager for the Pontiac/ Cadillac Dealership in Defiance ,Ohio at the time these cars were new .I was sixteen years old at the time ,and worked there part time when I was still in school. This year of car in my opinion was probably one of the nicest looking year of Pontiac's ever built .I don't know how old you are Lou, but if you never took a ride in one of these cars GTO's included when they were brand new , you'll never know that sound ,or that feeling .That is one fine absolutely gorgeous Pontiac. None of the GM line sold as well as the Chevrolet cars at that time,or at any time for that matter. Chevrolet had those sales pretty well sewed up however , all of them were a helluva lot better looking than the Chevy's. End of story !

This brings back memories of when our dad used to take us to dealerships. We'd always visit the Pontiac one, each of the few years these events would take place. 2+2s were always there and the salesmen never once complained when us kids would get into the cars and sit behind their steering wheels.
If I'm not mistaken, this one featured was missing a tachometer. Olds always had theirs on the console, despite having round guages

Had a 67 Catalina that was the same color as this car. Someone had put a 72 454 in it. The car could be scary to drive. The timing chain jumped while doing about 85 miles an hour on I-82 near Yakima, Washington. The number 1 connecting rod broke sending engine pieces all over the place, one piece even went through the hood. Drug the car home and dropped a Buick 350 in it. Between me and a couple other family members, that car stayed on the road another 20 years.

I like this body style of Pontiac!! In Canada, the 1967 Bonneville was sold as Parisienne, only with Chevrolet engine options: 250, 283, 327, 396, 427. The chassis is the same as Chevrolet Impala. I had a 1967 Parisienne 2+2 hardtop/fastback, 327 / Powerglide which I sold close to 30 years ago to get the 1967 Parisienne convertible I drive now. It is 283 / Powerglide. PS, PB, PW, power top with non-removable glass rear window. One of the most interesting features is the factory Delco AM/FM radio with switching dial scale - it either shows AM _or_ FM, but not both at the same time, by rotating the ring behind the tuning knob. I haven't seen another one of these, so I hope it keeps working.

Not a lot of '67 2 + 2's were built; I always liked the fact that save for badging and those fender louvers, the '67 looked almost too ordinary, yet packed the punch of that one-year-only 428 mill. Oh, and those "disc brakes" wheel covers up front! Then again. you could get that engine in the '68 Grand Prix, another unique big Poncho (GoodFellas, anyone?) or in a big Ventura.

No other power additives for anything and not Rally Cluster with tach or even a clock! Was probably a terror on the streets at that time! It was so with a '68 400HO, M22 and the stock 4,33 axle here in Sweden also!
