You'd be surprised how fleshed out the Tribes universe was up until T1. There were detailed guides about technology, speech, & general wilderzone culture. Unfortunately they seemed to give up on that part of Tribes when the sequel came about, most likely since people were buying for the unique gameplay, not the lore.
I wrote a big ol' document at one point describing T:V as an in-universe holoseries replete with historical inaccuracies and weapon manufacturer's advertising, though I never posted it to any forums, just the Tribes subreddit.

Now this is amazing! There was a old series of videos on Tribes lore that were taken down for some reason. This scratches a itch I haven't felt in a long time!
I've been working on a Blood Eagle video, but I keep getting tripped up in visualizing their history, as they have a lot more interpersonal conflicts and fighting in general compared to the Phoenix. *Hopefully*, I can have something out about that before the midpoint of the year.
Well I at least intend to do the Blood Eagle next at some point, followed by the Starwolf & Diamond Sword in one video. The main problem is that Tribes 1 era stuff was really comprehensive af and easy to find. Verifiably canon-Tribes 2 stuff on the other hand, just seemed to do the bare minimum in terms of lore.
The Blood Eagles were left on their own with little to no Imperial support. After 30 or so years they began to adopt the tribal mindset of the others in the wilderzone and began considering themselves independent. It's heavily implied they still maintained certain ties to the old Empire, however.
Ill be honest, tribes was a disappointment to me. The earthsiege and starsiege games were mech games, and they took out the hercs from the siege games to make an unreal clone. Titanfall going to titanfall 2 then to apex legends reflected this sort of disappointment as well.

I liked vengeance game play, but hated the story aside from mercury.
