    Really enjoyable video and what a great ride. The drone shots in particular were superb. I rode the Southern Tier to San Diego a few years back and spent quite a bit of time in St Augustine so it was great to see such a beautiful city again. I thought it couldn't get any better and then you added The Smiths to the soundtrack. You've made an old Brit very happy! Enjoy your cycling in fabulous Florida!

      Paul thanks, been waiting to use that Smiths song for awhile! Yeah, St. Augustine is a very fun city. Congrats on your Southern Tier! Happy trails.

    This video is so well done. The drone shots are gorgeous, the music is awesome, and you did such a great job documenting this excellent adventure. We enjoyed showing this video to our kids so they could get a sense for what their badass parents did. Thanks so much for capturing this memorable weekend!!

    Man what an adventure! That single track samurai knows how to plan an event. Looked like one heck of good time with a great group of people. I recently moved away to SC but head back to FL every so often. Maybe I can catch one of these awesome rides sometime. Great video and excellent editing as always.

      Thanks, much appreciated. We have only done two of Karlos's group overnight events like this and both have been a blast. Defiantly worth timing a trip back to FL to do one of them. Happy Trails!

    We were supposed to join the ride. But had to cancel at the last minute. Thank you for documenting what you did. But also very many applauses for such an incredible video. Everything is impressive, the editing, the cinematography, the use of the drone, everything. Seriously outstanding.

    Love your stuff, particularly the music you select. Karlos is great, yes, but you're a close second.

    Question - are crocs/gators a concern/issue at campgrounds?
    Looks like you both had a good time on an adventure ride.
    Thanks for sharing, sir 👍

      Hey Karl, gators are not really a concern when camping in FL, although I would never try and sleep or hangout right at the waters edge for long period’s of time. Bears are way more scary to me.

    How do you like the choice of 2.8' tires, do they slow down a lot? Wouldn't 2.4' tires be a better compromise between road and off-road? Or is 2.8' are so comfortable that you don't mind the extra drag? ...Good weather for Florida is only available in winter )))

    • @PedalPowerAdventures
      @PedalPowerAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We actually have 3.0 tires. Our other bikepacking bikes have 2.6 tires which seem to be the perfect size for what we like and offer a good balance of cush versus speed. For what it's worth we rode about 1700 miles of the GDMBR on 3.0 tires then the last 1000 on 2.6 and our average speed was very close. Happy Trails
