Dude you saved me a ton of headaches trying to find this false color lut. Not many people are selling this and of the few who are they have it buried in larger lut packages that make you spend more money. So thank you sincerely for just giving the option to buy the lut specifically. Wish your video came up in the top google searches.
I’m a blackmagic user who recently switched to Sony for its flexibility when shooting. But one thing that I’ve been missing since switching was false colors, because of Sony complicated exposure situation. with this LUT I feel like I can’t miss exposure anymore. Thanks a ton man! Truly appreciate it! Let’s hope Sony finallyyyyy adds false colors in an update is just crazy to me how is not a default thing on their cameras. Thanks again man!BTW I’m using it in an FX30 & a6700
Just bought it, looks good so far! I'll be using it at my weddings this summer and I think it'll be extremely useful, great stuff Jake! Appreciate you making this.
@@alite502been using it since I bought it. I do weddings and it’s perfect to get you a basic idea of your exposure. The limitation is really just the size of the screen and the quality of the screen but I basically understand if I’m exposed properly.
hey dude its awesome i have been always looking for this Exposure meter, i am switching form my indie film from Blackmagic TO FX3 . its almost zero buget... could you allow me to buy this lut for lower price ???
Bought it and it works really well, only issue I have is that the display colors change between iso. Iso 800 first base at the fx30, full image clipping i only get yellow as the brightest display. at the second base at 2500iso i get the proper red clipping displayed :/
Admittedly, things can get a little wonky between base exposures. The false color was built for lower base exposure. Also the FX30 has a different sensor than the FX3 and the values change a bit. I created this mainly for the FX3. You should still have success with the lower base exposure
@@jakebaineI found the problem. I was shooting in Cine EI, which is why it reacted to the pushed base ISO image, in flexible ISO Mode it works perfectly fine :) really happy with it
Yup! The false color is not built into the FX6. All they are adding is the ability to connect your FX6 to your phone and use their app to view false color. The FX3 already has this function and it’s janky at best.

Jake Baine is the HERO Sony doesn't deserve. Thank you Jake!
Haha, let’s not get ahead of ourselves, thank you!

Sony jusy dropped Shutter Angle this morning for Fx3 and the Fx30!!!
Bought it ! Dude this is a game changer
Glad to help!
amazing video man, id love to know where you got your film burn/light leak transitions if you know
Acid bite!
here for this
Here for you being here for this
The ZV-E1 does have it, just like 4k 120fps... Whilst that camera is for 'content creators'. That's why I chose the ZV-E1 and not the FX30...
Can I map that specific LUT to a function button. I want to have two function buttons, one for the false color LUT and one for my own rec709 LUT
Amazing! Good job!!
Do you think this LUT would work with the A7IV/A7CII as well?
If those cameras support LUTs in-camera and SLOG3, then yes it will work.
I hope Sony gives us shutter angel!

Nice work. How did u create this lut? was it done in resolve?

just purchased your lut and it doesn't load properly onto my FX3 running firmware 3.0
Weird, I’m running 3.0 as well and haven’t had any issues. I got your email, I’ll try to troubleshoot for you.
the fx9 doesn't even have false colour. Sony are an actual joke
Sony will be releasing a firmware update to add the shutter angle for the fx3/30. May to September 2024 relase. False color only for fx6 though

@jakebaine that's why I love using the monitor + pro app. Super smooth and has similar ui to the blackmagic camera menus
