To answer your question, yes that is a strategy. They call it counter punching or counter striking. Where you let your opponent attack first, make them to miss and then immediately fire back to the new opening their original attack created. If you can anticipate that your opponent is going to attack, you can also throw a strike before they even manage to fire off their own strike. So your strike will get their before theirs arrives. If your opponent is about to throw a left hook, for example, and you throw a right cross, then your straight punch is going to arrive faster and force them back so that their left hook misses short.

It’s Muay Thai, one is the Thai kickboxing
ONE and UFC is more nike vs adidas. Not really a stepping stone. Both have top fighters but ONE is marketed more towards eastern (asian) fighters whilst UFC is more western.
There are fighters that have moved between the both as well.
Also, UFC is just mma, but ONE has mma and other disciplines including mma, muay thai, kick boxing, grappling etc.
One championship is much bigger in Asia, growing pretty quickly in the US though. It has MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, and Grappling/BJJ.

Body shots are how you win a street fight. A solid strike to the solar plexus, and you've reduced even the toughest man to at least half of his ability. And then as he staggers backwards....as he staggers....you go in for the kill.
Boxing = Can only punch
Kickboxing = Can punch, kick and throw/trip
Muay Thai (in the video) = Punch, kick, knee, elbow and throw/trip

No, Rodtang is a 100% a gentleman. In this culture the deeper you bow, the more respect you give ... so if you give a lil lean forward, it's basically "hi" but if you're getting down on the floor, touching your forehead to the floor, it means you basically consider that person royalty ... you can watch old Asian films and when they meet kings they bow that deep! When they meet teachers they bow to about 90 degrees.
Rodtang will destroy you but he holds the deepest of respect for his opponents. It's all business and even when he's mocking you, it's for the crowd and the entertainment of it all

Answering a couple of questions:
liver shot- shuts down your body (legs just fall and you can't move) very painful and will shut your body down, doesn't hurt as much in the sense, you just can't move
Cuts and bleeding- Bleeding from noses (rare because they've been broken over and over), cuts from elbows (elbows are sharp and make cuts like knives) or even bleeding from the mouth
Rodtang calling out the other opponent- Muay Thai scoring works in a way which values dominance and ring control highly so him screaming at the guy, running at him and mocking him makes him score higher
training- really encourage you to train, it's fun and it keeps you active

Real kicks to the ribs cause damage to internal organs.kick to the legs cause nerve damage. To the head causes concussions. Kicks to the arms breaks arms.
