I agree totally… Jains have been doing water only fast (drink only water from sunrise to sunset)’, Ekasanas (OMAD for the western world), ‘Besanas’ which means eating 2 meals a day (16:8 IF mimics Besanas) & many other variations since ages. Its more disciplined in a way that one can consume only boiled water during the fasting period & the last meal & water is always before sunset during any kind of Jain fast. Ekasanas & Besanas are done by lakhs of Jains multiple times in a year by all age groups for spiritual purpose whereas water only fast is done by comparatively lesser number since its more difficult.

Sorry, a bit late but in the video you say after 2 or 3 days or carbs starvation we enter ketosis, but in a later video of IF you mention carbs taking 12-14 hours to be used, not saying you contradicted yourself or did a mistake because i feel like im the one who didnt understand something, so i would like a clarification if possible, thank you. also thank you for the information!
first and foremost most benifit is to over come insulin resistance after fasting you will enter in to designated feast window. ensure your feast is 35 % fat protien portion is o.8 to 1 % of your your body weight 15% for carbohydrates. ensure some deficit in calories in take daily feasting 30 minites daily walk morning and evening to reap maximum fasting benifits. eggs..2 to 3 whole eggs. 2 ragi/ bajra roties with 4 cups of cruciferous steamed vegetable carry cruciferous vegetables are califlower,broccoli, cabbage,carrots,white root etc vegetable leves ,spinach,methi leaves,mint leaves,Kariya leaves etc 50 grams cooked millets with 4 cups Palak or any other vegetable dal,preferentially more vegetable leaves than more lentiles. Kala Chana dal ,ground nuts almonds as snacks. ex 5 to 6 almonds flowed by 50 grams of ground nuts as protien intake in between feasting window. there is no concrete rule as every one metabolism is different. slow and steady win the race morning lemon water,ACV, black coffee,green tea
