I got teary eyed once. It was a vinyl record, the Star Trek II Wrath of Khan soundtrack record, bought "new old stock" unopened and unplayed, had sat somewhere since 1982 or, whatever year I can't remember now. I think 82. Anyway, yeah... played it through a nice hifi rig with a decent turntable and wasn't expecting that "Space...the final...frontier...these are the voyages..." in the unmistakable voice. His voice was noticeably younger when this was recorded, and it just hit me that this voice recording had sat untouched since the year it was recorded, never digitized, never once passed through a computer or electronic storage medium. Just a couple of squiggly grooves on a piece of plastic sitting in a paper sleeve, and was that high fidelity and well preserved as to gift me with a wonderful emotional moment decades after it had been pressed onto that disc.
The film version of the Constitution class is probably my all time favorite ship design. It just looks like something real, like it was made the way it was for a functional reason, not because someone thought it looked "cool".
RIP Mr Spock, Leonard Nimoy is the one who made Star Trek what it is today & so famous his Character of Mr Spock was the one & only true Star of Star Trek.
I appreciate you wanted to add your own touch but as with others maybe not with the Movie refit. She was and still IS the most BEAUTIFUL design of them all to me.Live Long. And Prosper..🖖🖖🖖
I really like this video tribute to a great man and a great actor like Leonard Nimoy who was and will always be the original Mr. Spock and in the memory of Leonard (Live Long and Prosper).
Kudos 👌🏼👏🏼 to you man,not only did you do a superb job on the graphics; but most notably you gave it an Abram's feel. Again awesome 👏🏼🎉 thanks for sharing

41 years later, and the Enterprise refit/A looks as cutting edge and gorgeous as it did back then. No need for engine tweaks, sorry. But otherwise, awesome.
Even though it has been some time now, I've come to realize just how profound an impact the genre and more specifically, Leonard Nimoy had on the entertainment industry, even those who do not go to movies or own a television know his name and the most famous role he played in both television and movies. THAT is a true legacy to leave behind. he also had such a profound impact on some peoples lives, mine included, many even chose their careers because of that impact. me, he kept me dreaming and looking to the stars wondering what's out there. Even in star trek online I sometimes make a journey to Vulcan to pay my respects to this wonderful man even if it's just a video game. His most famous line in the movies and television has turned out to be very profound as well now that he has gone to the stars himself. those words are, I have been, And always shall be, Your friend. You are missed still Leonard, and will be for a long time. See you among the stars cowboy.
That's because he was MEANT TO BE AN ACTOR he cared about his roles, and he was given the opportunity to set the tone for a prominent alien race in Star Trek. He also incorporated alot of his Jewish heritage into the role hence his most famous line "live long 🖖🏼 and prosper"
Awesome, could not tell at the beginning if this was a physical model ( with some incredible camera work ) or cgi. Love to see this with Original Connie refit engines, such great work!
i really hated the reason I heard why the Constitution class was decommissioned was because of the fact their necks was their weak spot in the whole structure especially in the refit but instead of rectifying or reworking the problem they just pushed aside a good ship in favor of other ships like the Excelsior class and I wish to have seen a redesigned Constitution class in TNG DS9 and Voyager at least one that had a redesigned neck to overcome that design flaw.
Flamestriker Star Trek Beyond actually shows what is theoretically the most accurate on screen appearance of warp drive in Trek. During warp a bubble envelops the ship and bends space time around it enabling you to go faster than light. You can see that in Beyond a few times when the Enterprise is at warp.
@@inferno9872 And here we can see someone complaining just to complain about 'JJTrek.' Honestly, I liked them, but I'll let you keep your opinion. The thing that irks me is that you're 100% wrong. The effect shown is basically warp (provided the camera is following the ship at a similar speed). Hyperspace would be whoosh-gone. It's an entirely different dimension. Hyperspace drops the ships onto this dimension where time and space are simply relative concepts, not linear as we know them to be. In contrast, warp would bend space around the vessel and the ship would shoot off--never leaving this plane of reality. If the camera follows the ship, the effect shown is exactly what you should see. If the camera is stationary, the ship may appear to stretch as those distances are covered, and would instantly shoot off out of sight.
Love it. The ship is beautiful. Great job with the build. Only thing I could see that needs improvement is the marker lights under the saucer section. Those are used for quarantines. No red and green marker lights, no strobes. Other wise an awesome build. It's great to hear Spock saying those immortal words.
That's awesome man! Very nice modeling/lighting and you've got the one thing that everyone seems to forget in these sorts of things: amazing camera work!!! Bravo!
Absolutely Magnificent! Your version of the Enterprise A's SFX is Awesome and Amazing, good to see the red glow of the Bussard collectors and the constant blue glow of the warp nacelles, something that was erroneously omitted in the cinematic version of the NCC-1701-A. And the warping away? Epic! Nice work! Mr. Santos, thanks for posting.
Ok, I’ll admit it. I got teary-eyed when I heard Leonard’s voice.
Tribute to Mr. Nimoy!!!@
He's exploring the REAL Undiscovered Country today...😥
@@georgetaylor4719 Yes and we all meet him again on the other side and a story of the undiscovered country at waiting to be told.

The original refit has been regarded as one of the most beautiful sci-fi designs . It needs no tweaking

Yup, the rule of three. It's perfection at every angle. Long live the TMP refit.
Refit is a beautifully refined and aesthetically balanced masterpiece of conceptual and speculative design
Refit Constitution class was perfection.
The film version of the Constitution class is probably my all time favorite ship design. It just looks like something real, like it was made the way it was for a functional reason, not because someone thought it looked "cool".
I do get where your coming from
Thank you Leonard Nimoy...We’ve never had a friend like you! Live long and prosper.
Nice paying attention to detail especially with the impulse engines turning off when going to warp
"All I ask is a tall ship, and a star to steer her by."
Nice job, Spock is my favorite character. The Enterprise is my favorite sci fi ship.

Mesmerisingly good! That ship is beautiful. And your side-on track around the saucer at 0:34 had me going "Whoa" O_O
I agree. Fit for the big screen!
Verynicely done!! I really appreciate the effort and love for Nimoy you've shown, and I'm sure he'd appreciate it!!
Wow, THIS is what these new films could have done!! Nothing beats the original refit. And viewing it a-la Abrams makes me like it even more!.

of all the ships, the A style is my favorite.
I like Scotty's answer better:" No bloody A, B Or C , or D" though I like Archer's Enterprise too.
It's the refit not the a
i really hated the reason I heard why the Constitution class was decommissioned was because of the fact their necks was their weak spot in the whole structure especially in the refit but instead of rectifying or reworking the problem they just pushed aside a good ship in favor of other ships like the Excelsior class and I wish to have seen a redesigned Constitution class in TNG DS9 and Voyager at least one that had a redesigned neck to overcome that design flaw.
Nice detail with the Original Series Movie era warp effect
Rest in Peace Mr. Leonard Nimoy... Forever gone but never forgotten...
Star Trek Forever !!! Live Long and Prosper !
That way the Enterprise Jumps to warp is how it should have always been. With space and time distorting around the ship, like in this animation
Yea but it would only do that is if the camera follows the ship and goes to warp it’s self in star trek the camera stays mostly still
You always see a certain level of distortion
What they have in the new movies, AND in discovery. It's not warp. It's hyperspace. JJ Abrams, your thinking of the wrong universe
Flamestriker Star Trek Beyond actually shows what is theoretically the most accurate on screen appearance of warp drive in Trek. Amazing job! The lighting, textures and backgrounds are awesome and the model is really good.
Live Long and Prosper all of you.
Its almost as if the Enterprise is bendng the universe to its own will....beautiful.
its good, but you cant take away the caddilac fins, thats what made the refit so great
Agreed.
+1 I was with it up until the end and the ruined nacelles...
Agreed. Why change that one minute section? The refit was perfection.
Shoot it's not that bad and it gives this video a little individual thought something Spock would have supported "Infinite combinations.."
"caddilac fins" :-))))))))))
But no I don't miss them. It looks in this video also without it great.
This is the best tribute to star trek yet
in memory of Leonard Nimoy

RIP Lenard. 🎉
I was going to say how much more pleasing it would've been to see this ship on the big screen and then...
The Original Enterprise A still looks the best and always will!
Magnifique montage très émouvant

after JJ Abrams botoxed the franchise nearly to death.
