Amai Mask is a really well written character and I can't deny it. They truly showed development when he decided to sacrifice his appearance to the media, in order to save people's lives because he could've easily allowed them to die and Saitama would've came along when half the people were dead to one-shot the monster.

Amai mask is actually believed to be on level of atomic samurai. He voluntarily remains on the A class to make sure noobs don't get into S class.

Amai Mask has honestly become one of my more favorable characters in this series. Not only does he fully acknowledge Saitama's strength without making any excuses like Tornado and Flash, but the fact that he was willing to throw away his career and life for the sake of the world by revealing his true form makes him pretty respectable,

I think Amai was surprised to see that a rando monster could power up to dragon level, not that it was super strong to begin with. There were lots of onlookers since the beginning of the fight, so he wouldnt want to use his monster strength at all as they would see the physical change, especially with multiple fans recording the fight.
Right, I took his expression more as "I can't believe this guy hit dragon level" than "that's some crazy power"
That onlookers full of shit, instead of evacuate, they watch. And worse, when Amai revealed his mask, they just blindly accuse him as monster🙄
He wanted ardoration from the people as a hero, an icon to be looked up to. But ultimately that was his own downfall.
Had he accepted of what he is before, people may still accept him even in monster form.

well we haven't seen blue's full power yet and his dad is the rank 1 S class hero (which people think is god level), so he could possibly be above dragon, but we have to wait for confirmation through webcomic or from ONE.
Well, considering Blue literally has a limiter-affecting suit, and with being the son of Blast.. idk it's pretty easy to say he's probably above dragon.

I think thats the real reason why Amai Mask chose to stay as Rank 1 Class A Hero. If he unleash his true power as an S Class then his more likely have to reveal himself as a monster.
He stayed in Class A to prevent other lower rank hero's from upgrading to class S. I don't think it has anything to do with his power. A and above class hero's get the most attention from public and if any one of them do something that would be damaging to their reputation, it would drag Amai Mask's reputation down with them.

Amai just stayed there and act as the final challenge for the lower rank heroes. He wants someone with the strength to be in S, not just because they got the rank.
Amai Mask has to be a high dragon, Pesky Clown was a pretty solid dragon before the end of the fight, maybe not mid, but definitely not low, and then even after he powers up Amai Mask completely dominates him, you have to be pretty high on the power scale to school a possible high dragon *that* hard

The way the webcomic portrays the sequence is a little awkward, and seemed more concerned with getting to the character moment of his decision rather than the logic of power scaling him. It seemed to earnestly imply that he had never really beaten a dragon before, in addition to the clown enemy coming out of nowhere to create the problem. I think it may just be a case of some messy writing.

@@DaytonaBlueHr Yeah, I thought his monster reveal immediately following his talk with Saitama was odd, I thought he'd have time to linger on his words and there's also the question why he didn't immediately try to talk to Saitama after the whole MA debacle ( probably so we could get the Ninja arc but I'm putting it here in case ). I still loved it because AM is my favorite character and it touched me to see AM finally having someone care for him plus seeing Saitama act so differently than usual was a nice bonus.

It made sense back when it was just webcomic as too get chapters out at a reasonable rate and he still doesn't have a reason to put much more effort in now with the manga. Remember who's art we're comparing it too.
I am SO happy that I'm saw this coming many years when Amai Mask hit that Monster into the ground. And everyone told me, "uh, oh not true!"
Funny thing is, he's always a hidden S+ tier Character, in the Manga and Anime he's A Class but he's pretty much High S Class in Power Scaling and in the Game, One Punch Man The Strongest, he's easily SSR material, being able to best, Vaccine Man, Subterranian King, Geryuganshoop, Melzargard, Groribas, Tank Top Master, Puri Puri Prisoner, and Sonic. All of which are SSR characters yet by Attack, Defense, Speed, and Passive Abilities he's considered to be the 7th strongest Character in the Game despite being a Easy Find SR.
I have read all of webcomic chapters. That's what I believe... I think many people are ignoring the fact that Amai Mask defeat a Dragon level monster pretty EASILY, and not just "defeated him", which is a huge difference because we still haven't seen the limits of Amai Mask.
The clown was already a Dragon level when he hit Amai violently, when Amai released his true form he literally destroyed the clown, then the clown evolved again because more people were giving him attention bringing him to a mid dragon in my opinion, but afterwards amai managed to win with just one punch even though he got a few hits by the monster, but damn... he's a beast if he's able to defeat a mid dragon easily.
I personally think Amai mask monster form is arguably a high dragon, he potentially could be on pair with rover or even higher...

I always knew he was strong enough to be among the strongest S-Class heroes, don't forget this little piece of dialogue in Chapter 93, when Sweet Mask is telling the other S-Class heroes to follow his lead:
Flashy Flash - How about you try getting us to obey you by force... *if you can manage that.*
(Darkshine sweats, Sweet Mask is surprised)
Sweet Mask: *You don't think I can?* (Sweet Mask's neck and eyes become full of veins, Flashy Flash's hair begins to rise in the air and his eyes glow)
Atomic Samurai: Hey, this is no joking matter, contain your murderous intent, Flash.
Flashy Flash: That's entirely up to him. If he's going to hinder the battle... (Tatsumaki is paying attention to this)
Then King arrives and through some of King's own awesomeness, Sweet Mask steps down, to which Flashy Flash replies with a sigh of relief. He _knows_ it wouldn't have been an easy fight, or worse. That's how I interpret that scene, anyway.
My opinion, he wouldn’t of been so cocky if he didn’t think he could take him on. Amai mask knew what flash could do, flash did not know what amai mask was capable of.
I got a new found respect for Amai mask after i read the webcomic also it amazing how one foreshadow it by amai mask reacting to something that child emperor said that the HUMAN eye couldn't follow. Also if you think about it amai mask is a better person than most of the s class hero despite being a monster.

Honestly, comparing the way Amai Mask was doing against Black S I'd say he is Mid Dragon. Since he was not only doing so well agaisnt him, but even when ENW joined and started to double team him, he was doing relatively well considering he is facing 2 of the strongest Cadres. Not only that but throughout all that he almost never stopped fighting. First with Super S, then with Ugly, then with Black S and ENW, then continued with AG(Although not actually a good fight, he was still able to fight a bit and continue fighting almost till the very end) With all that bieng said I believe he is Mid to Brink High Dragon. Once he faced the clown, Whom I believe was at High Dragon or so, since he was constantly powering up due to the amount of people present due to Amai mask being popular (Another bad match up for Amai Mask) he was still doing well. Then he transforms and destroys the clown, and even after the clown transforms again Amai Mask still comes out on top. I'd also like to say that probably all of his feats are vastly improved such as his regeneration, durability, Speed, Power, etc. Once he Transforms so to me he feels like an earnest high Dragon

Just thinking aloud here but I just watched your video on awakened garou for the first time but you briefly touch on garou breaking out of or removing himself from his monster form at a certain point with his fight with saitama. So I guess my question is would it be possible for amai mask to pull off a similar feat?

I don't think that there are enough disaster levels to accurately power scale anyone. Low, mid, and high dragon isn't enough. We need more slots.
I have a question about Bang. In one of your videos you said that Bang retires. Does that mean that he won't fight anymore or only that he won't be a hero but he will still help others to protect the cities or whatever? Just like Bomb and Suiryu, for example. It would be sad if he is gone forever, he's such a cool character and an important one as well.😕
I would like to see him enter S-Class as a monster, he would probably be in top 4, probably replacing atomic samurai or even bang.

I think Monster Amai is probably a above Dragon not showing his full prowess, he still has enough humanity in him to want to be taken out rather than be a danger to others, he was attempting to just egg Saitama on and get it over with rather then accept himself. I feel we could get a more powerful accepted amai mask down the line that can come to grips with both his monster and human forms, whether others will accept him who knows, He may sacrifice himself and insist Saitama stay out of it to "let him be truly human" at the end or something like that. Maybe as a end to the Neo heroes/hero fight.
the clown's balloons were his lives count, what made the clown strong was the attention from the crowd and being spread all over the world same with amai getting power from going ugly.
Yeah, I think the pesky clown would actually get beaten by just about any other S-class hero quite easily. It's just bad luck that Amai-mask was his opponent, which gathered all kinds of attention to the fight, thus quickly increasing the clowns power to full dragon levels.
That said, I think it's quite debatable what level Amai himself is at. He goes semi-monster in just about every serious fight, and so I believe he'd actually be comparatively weak in human form. Perhaps not even among the top A-class.
However, in full monsterfication it's very much possible he could take on just about any one of the S-class, and at the very least call it even against most of them. (Tatsumaki being the only obvious top-dog of the group, while I guess him and Zombieman would just have to call it quits after a few days fighting.)
@@jaega4247 imo the strongest one available in s rank is tatsumaki followed by watchdogman. The 3rd rank might be between atomic or flashy n then amai mask(monster form). Would love to see watchdogman more. So far we've only seen few scene of him overpowering monsters n even garou without breaking a sweat.
@@Gozhibie Yeah, I'd really love to see Watchdog in more serious fights. He won against Garou before he started turning monster, though, and Metal bat may have been able to beat him at that point too, if he'd only landed that final hit before his sister arrived. I'd dare say that it was only due to his mentality towards Bang that made Garou start turning for real. Against Watchdog and Bat he'd choose to run away, rather than risking his life, which makes it questionable if Watchdog would actually be such a huge threat in another situation. And, like Garou states himself, his techniques are made to beat other humans, not someone who fights like a dog/animal type of monster.
That said, I'd still rank Watchdog very high on the list, but perhaps more on par with Bat or Atomic (and Amai mask) when it comes to beating monsters. Meanwhile, Bang holds the 3rd rank in the hero association for a good reason, and I may want to rank him accordingly when compared to the other heroes.
But then again... if we are to compare them by fighting each other, I believe we would have more of a rock-paper-scissor kind of setup, which always throws this kind of ranking out of balance...
Watchdog, for example, would probably fair much better against Bang and Amai than the others, simply because those two, just like Garou, uses techniques better suited for fighting humanoid opponents. He'd also be the only one possibly capable of beating King, simply thanks to his animal senses being able to tell King's actual mindset. But that's just a theory...
@@jaega4247 If they had a rematch and bloodlusted, Garou would have defeated Metal Bat. Metal Bat's power is very weird and would catch many off guard. He was only able to potentially end Garou because Garou had his back turned and thought he was done, before that he couldn't even get a shot in. Also, I agree with your take on watchdog man. People are jumping the guns on him just cause he looks like Saitama even though he doesn't have many feats yet. The one thing he got going for him though is that we haven't seen him actually have a major fight. Now that I think of it, there are only a few of the s class who we haven't seen go all out yet. One could be saving them for later, and that almost always means they are stronger than most guys already shown before.

...I mean, I was already pretty sure he was much stronger than Genos at their first meeting, and in Season 2 he cleans up the attack on his concert (probably several demon-ranks) almost effortlessly. Are you going to tell me he's near Saitama's level? Because that's about the only way I'll believe this headline.
I feel considering how easy he beat the Pesky Clown, who was most likely a high dragon in his final form, I feel like Amai Mask is above "High Dragon" but below "Above Dragon." If that makes any sense. I wonder what his fate will be.
Nah pesky clown final form was probably a high mid dragon or a very low high dragon. Amai is probably a mid high dragon when he beats him and in my opinion is around as strong as carnage kabuto. He doesn’t compare well with elder centipede or other strong dragons such as beefcake and full size evil natural water

Black S I find is only a dragon level due to his abilities. Really I find when he is trying his hardest he is only a low dragon, MAYBE mid dragon in a physical power standpoint. So therefore it would make sense that Amai Mask would be able to deal with his strength and durability

Time for my boy Iaian to move up to S class, definitely one of my favorite characters for sure.
I like Iaian and believe he definitely deserves to be rank 1 of a class at least, but would he really deserve to join S class??? I mean he never surpassed sweet mask and while it was unfair of sweet mask to gate keep like he did he keep weaker A class from facing enemies WAY outside thier zone. Even Iiain was outclassed by a dragon level and him alongside atomic samurai other students barely defeated demon level longhair monster. I believe unless to you can surpass sweet mask you shouldn't be in s class because there will be monsters as strong as him or stronger.
@@rashardbristol3902 not really, the whole point of sweet mask is he stays A class so he can decide who to let into the S class. It's basically his choice and it's not about surpassing him because how could you anyway(he's a stronger than majority of the S class)

Nope. Current manga Garou matches Darkshine in strength and beats him in speed. The only thing he is really worse in is defense. Almost top dragon.

I guess but atomic samurai has a type disadvantage against black s. His attacks are actually doing damage while atomic don’t do anything and should be put into consideration. But the fight with the clown really pushed him up. Even without his full monster transformation
Amai Mask didnt damage Black S at all...... he never killed/vaporized any clones. Not even Abandonment Bang going all out could vaporize a single Black S clone. Are you gonna claim that Human Amai Mask is stronger than Abandonment Bang??

Alex Villalobos Alex Villalobos no. In his video he used the fight of amai mask against black S clones in comparison to Atomics fight to black S clones to point to his power. In the video he even pointed to the fight that amai mask did something .I was saying that’s not really the best comparison because Atomics use of a sword is almost useless against an enemy like black S but amai mask definitely did something to his clones as shown. And the clones power ranges individually. Black S total is all of them not just one.
spencer sss Amai Mask was doing the same thing as Atomic Samurai tho..... so he wasnt doing anything to Black S. Every time Amai Mask hit through a Black S clone or punched through one the clone would split. Same thing with Atomic Samurai. They were both basically doing nothing to Black S and would have eventually gotten overwhelmed. If you cant vaporize Black S clones then in reality you aernt doing shit to Black S 😂
amai mask, zombie man, watchdog man, all have sick lore . i can watch a whole movie made about them they are just good made characters. but the watchdog man nothing is said about him at all. with how much detail every character has i feel like there’s much more to him. he defends a city on his own, said he beats dragon level monsters on his own. safest city out of every city solely cuz of him. and beat garou like nothing .
