the fact that saitama divided the ocean and that opening stayed there for a few seconds is a little insight on how his power works, i think. like, once unleashed it reaches the enemy and keep the damage spreading until its death, regardless of mass, power, resistances or regeneration abilities.
I don't think that's it at all fam, the wind pressure blew the water apart and it only stayed apart for a panel or two because of the wind pressure from his punch. There's no secret behind his power, he's literally just insanely strong. Him jumping from the moon to the Earth doesn't correlate to what you're assuming
The point that he is attacking the monster doesn’t necessarily mean he is helping humans, its rather that he can’t stand a monster stronger than himself. He has always wanted to be on the top, even when the first time he appears he just beats the shit out of the gangsters and thugs that gathered at the hero association building.
Amazing chapter, it was so good to see serious punch from Saitama again. Garou and Metal Bat teaming up is also so cool. It's interesting how they met exactly in the same circumstances like last time. Oh and I knew I wasn't the only one that thought Garou said "bruh" there XD Keep up the great work man!
I think Garou development is actually really cool, because remember Garou always wanted a monster to win right? Well he's a monster winning against the bad guy. This is a change I actually like, because weather Garou admits it or not, Garou's getting what he wants, the monster is winning and that him. He turned into a monster, but a monster isn't evil by nature, we've seen in the Webcomic and the Manga plenty of monster be good function members on society. Saitama vs Garou will happen most likely, but it'll be different then the Webcomic, Saitama vs Garou will be a fight of respect, rather than Garou's being merciless monster. He's become human and sane, the 1st monster from God to do so
This actually makes more sense leading up to that moment because before it never really made sense how Saitama was able to identify that what Garou really wanted to be was a hero. Now he and others (Metal Bat, Suiryu, Etc...) have something to go off of when it comes to Garou's true colors.
I agree, but they'll come a point where Garou and Saitima face off and the gap between them will send Garou into spiraling insanity. I think that's where the Manga and the webcomic plots will merge back together. Or maybe not 🤷🏻♂️
Fandom needs to chill. ONE knows he has to keep the story somewhat different, yet exciting from the webcomic series. That's a hard thing to do, especially when appealing to a strong fan base. This isn't even a drastic change, it's still perfectly in line with ONE's sense of humour and storytelling. The fact that Garou is becoming normal again by good deeds is also more refreshing than a lecture from Saitama. There's more emotional content and character development by Garou caring for Bang, the little kid and other heroes. That's real character development without lazy writing.
I have to disagree. Even in the Web Comic, he never killed humans. He beat the hell out of the S class heroes, but didn't kill any of them and kept the kid out of danger. He even gave Saitama a chance to walk away in the web comic. He's always been like that. He didn't fight the S class in the web comic until AFTER he dealt with Golden S. Now that the manga introduced stronger monsters, his target is them and then the S class. His beef is with the heroes' hypocrisy, bullying, and human infighting. He hates the unfairness of society, not innocent people. His goal has always been to unite the world through fear.
@John Smith The situation is also completely different. In the web comic, Garou defeats Golden S and then it's just him and the S class heroes he hates(Black S is hiding and Evil Natural Water does appear later, but the kid is hiding in a safe spot). There's no rescue or news helicopter. There's no Sage Centipede to kill the boy he grew attached to. There's not even Bang to make him hesitate in his choice. It's a lot easier to be "evil" when the heroes you hate the most are the only thing in front of you. I think it's in line with his character. There have been tons of changes after all. The only difference is the situation. He was plenty intimidating against Flashy Flash and Platinum S. Once, Sage Centipede is out of the way, I'm sure the comic relief will end(because that's what this chapter was) and Garou will resume hero hunting again.
He beat up bangs pupil and bang beat garou inch of his life and now garou beat bang within inch if his life and now he's satisfied and now is good even though he's good anyways
Garou literally saved the kid in the farmhouse from a BIG ASS GATLING GUN.. He had a good heart from the start just chose the path he chose from being bullied & his father never having his back!!! Think pple
Saitama really just came back, did a serious punch, split the god-dang ocean and the clouds because the sky was clear in that space view, PROBABLY CAUSED TSUNAMIS AROUND THE ENTIRE WORD, AND NOW HE IS SURFING A FREAKING AIRCRAFT CARRIER?!
I thunk Garou's form is perfect as it is. I'd love to see him improve his techniques, like when he learned god slayer fist, rather than transform further. He's already shown that his power and resilience are astounding in this form.
i think in the next several chapters, the monster form is going to take over his entire body and basically is going to wreck havoc and destroy all of the heroes
I love how this anime is more focused on side character than the main makes feel more excited to see the main character in action, because other characters will be surprised on how strong he is.
I am not surprised Garou is temporarily allying with Metal Bat or any hero for that matter. He wants Tarou safe one way or another. I feel that the moment Tarou's safety is slightly confirmed he is just gonna go back to vicious cycle of getting angry at hero's "hypocrisy", getting retaliation, getting more angry. Of course, not sure how metal bat is going to react then though. This is really interesting to see. Also, guess Saitama had enough of water after his bath and uh... squirt
Ty for the upload man. I just did my first review and now im going to go back and review the rest of opm. Learned alot from this video alot. Thanks man
I think Garou just ignored Metal Bat for two reasons. Firstly, he's the only hero who has almost killed him but in the anime, Metal Bats sister stopped him so I think deep down he acknowledges that. Secondly, he knows Sage Centipede is a lot stronger and in order to be the best you have to beat the best thus ignoring Metal Bat and going straight to the centipede.
Awesome bro... I love OPM so much... can't wait for the Animated series to continue!!! Edit I thought Saitima already killed Sage Centipede? Or was that elder Centipede?
prediction: garou still has empathy for the kid he sees himself in. he cares about him and wants to protect him, but… that helicopter is going down, maybe saitama saves them all but garou will think tareo is dead, then he will lose his humanity and fully accept his monster side after thinking that the only way to prevent this again is to be the strongest and strike fear into everyone. he still has empathy which is what is holding him back. garou is simply just an 18 year old teenager who has the wrong view on the world and needs a spanking EDIT: and we also know that god is deceptive as we saw with how he tried to manipulate tatsumaki into accepting his power. Now, we know garou does not accept help. but, what if god tricks garou as pretending to be tareo or something deceptive. as we know that sage is connected to god and saw garou focused on that kid, TRICKING garou into accepting his power. who knows but that could be very interesting.

I love Garou and Metal Bat both and their first fight was great so I really enjoyed this chapter and them meeting back up. Murata killed it again just dropping straight fire art. Those double pages were incredible. I agree he probably the most technically skilled artist in Manga and all of comics. His compositions are just insane. I put him along side Miura, Inoue, and Q Hayashida as my favorite artists ever. I can't wait to get the rest of the physical volumes printed by Viz already. It's taking forever to get vol 24 out.
Garu has never been bloodthirsty in the webcomic. He only pretended to be, only sorta wanted to be, he has never actually killed a single hero. He just smacked them hard. That's why he has never truly transformed into a monster.
I didn't like the last pages of Garou and Metal bat arguing with the silly chibi faces and i also found it weird that the manga is taking this direction especially after everything that has been happening lately, it kinda ruined the mood for me but the chapter was still godly
Taking what direction? This is like the first time in a while that they've been goofy, since Saitama was underground. It's been pretty serious all-around with just a bit of comic-relief.
@@jaisotheunfathomablybased7135 bro just understand this hasn’t happened in one punch man for some time, or probably ever, if you look at the art style, it look like someone else was writing it, opm will throw jokes in but not change physical appearance to be goofy
@@kjphantom3445 Not really, this has been happening in between for a while now. The back and forth between Metal Bat and Garou was exactly like it was when they first fought. Cursing at each other, telling each other they were gonna kill each other, using a lot of slang, and just being extremely violent towards each other. Also the comic relief like Flashy Flash's sword getting stuck, Monaco and her antics. Blast coming in and Saitama deciding Monaco's fate right then and there, there have been lots of instances of comic relief during this arc. And OPM will change its physical style and anatomical look like it does with Saitama expressions, Tatsumaki's entire expression. It overexxagerates Puri Puri Prisoner's size in comparison to Darkshine and also PPP's grotesque movements that are far and beyond his norm I don't know how you missed that and said this was the first instance, but it's been happening a lot throughout this entire arc. A big head and small body similar to Dragon Ball's style of shoutint expletives doesn't seem that out there.

Does anyone else feel like Elder Centipede seemed bigger than this new Sage Centipede dude? Or longer? Cause Elder Centipede seemed like a whole city length, but this Sage Centipede dude just seems wider looking
To me I’m like 80% sure sage centipede is gonna clap up garou again to the point where he re-enters the subconscious see and destroy everything state maybe even transform, which will then make Saitama engage him
I think one of the greatest things about Murata's drawings that is so subtle but so good, is that he constantly makes use of reference points (e.g. ppl, cities, buildings and even planets) so that you can always grasp the power scaling and magnitude of each action sequence. Otherwise, it would be very easy for everything to start to blend together and eventually lose impact.
The thing about Garou being so much more agro in the webcomic tho, is that it added a lot more weight to what came later with King seeing him under the waterfall and all. It felt like Garou pushed this bad ideal of an ultimate evil to its limit and only then realized how he was wrong. The manga Garou seems to be so far away from that ultimate evil ideal that I feel like it won't have any impact when hes comes around. It'll just be kinda expected. I loved the moment in the manga with Bang talking to Garou through fighting. It just added to what I knew was gonna come. He was getting a subtle message through that made the webcomic ending of this whole fight seem more reasonable without ruining the impact. But this recent chapter has taken it too far with the humor and friendly Garou. It took away everything that the part with Bang built up. And theres also Saitama calling Garou a human in a monster costume in the webcomic. That specifically had a lot of impact on Garou, until that point he was seeing himself as a monster. Now in the manga I'd be surprised if we get those lines at all. Hes very obviously a human to just about everyone. It won't make sense if Saitama calls him out on being a human not a monster. This whole chapter basically harped on that point already. Idk I'm rambling but this chapter just really dissapointed me. Garou doesn't seem to be coming full circle anymore. Now he just seems like a human guy with a gimmick. In the webcomic he was a human losing his humanity because of his false ideals.
In the webcomic, the only time where he started "losing" his humanity is when he fought Saitama. His "evil" acts is basically him just acting, he could've killed every S class hero back then. The manga is just more on the nose of showing that he indeed did not lose his humanity.
@@cherdnad2630 Thats what im saying, he was always just acting. But in the webcomic he seemed to be taking his "act" actually seriously. Manga garou is just goofin around more worried about some kid than his whole world peace through evil thing. IDK maybe garou will make up for it and sucker punch metal bat like he did platinum S. But still, it just feels less believable to me.
Garou was literally never bloodthirsty at all, and this chapter isn’t even a drastic change tbh. I like that we’re finally seeing Metal Bat also, since he wasn’t really that active during this arc in the webcomic.
Yes, and its such a nice team-up. Metal Bat is pretty much like Garou himself but without his strong ideals about monsters and heroes, he's blunt and doesn't really care about anything else, only about his sister. Garou have that kind of relationship with Tareo, and im 99% certain Murata/ONE will explore more of this
Thank you for making this video on how you can narrate the situation. It's just so realistic like its an actual episode of Onepunch Man in a show and the reason why I get lazy to read the mangga 😂. Cheers 🍻

@@swtcorrado Man people will stop at nothing to try and plead to God that the manga will converge with the webcomic. During this entire arc, nothing has gone the way of the webcomic pretty much, so why would it be likely to converge here?
@@jaisotheunfathomablybased7135 because the monster arc is coming to a close? Remember, Murata is the Manga artist and is allowed a certain creative freedom but One has the last word. It still needs some continuity to be able to feed into the next arc. It could be taking a completely different direction and starts focusing on Blast and the Multiverse thing but I'd wager that it doesn't happen until the evil cyborg arc is complete 🤷🏻♂️. Hard to say really, but I'm enjoying regardless.
@@swtcorrado The manga doesn't have to follow the webcomic as we've seen bro. God is a lot more involved and Blast as well. It's shaping up to look like the next arc will also be near-completely different
And ONE has been orchestrating the writing throughout the entire manga with Murata asking to add things, but everything so far is ONE. The Monster arc might not end with Garou going the same route as the webcomic. As a lot of things have gone astray, it seems like ONE wants to go down a different continuity from the webcomic which doesn't have the same continuity
Bro Mastar, I honestly think he was good SOLELY FOR THE KID, ONCE THE KID is safe I think everyone will become an Op (enemy) again
the kid has to come back to the ground, he has to bear witness to garous entire character arc. that’s the point of him
@@_MookW_ I think the kid will get attacked and garou will going Super Monster 👹
If they actually read the webcomic correctly, that "bloodthirsty" Garou was just putting up an act. Manga is better.
How does that prove that the manga is better. All it proves that it was an act just like the manga 😂
Everyone talking about garo and metal bat and forget that saitama is surfing the biggest wave in history in an AIRCRAFT CARRIER!!!
That sponsor part was hilarious

Thank you for the encouragement.
the fact that saitama divided the ocean and that opening stayed there for a few seconds is a little insight on how his power works, i think. like, once unleashed it reaches the enemy and keep the damage spreading until its death, regardless of mass, power, resistances or regeneration abilities.
The only thing I learned in this video is that mastar goes to the toilet with his pants on

Amazing chapter, it was so good to see serious punch from Saitama again. Garou and Metal Bat teaming up is also so cool. It's interesting how they met exactly in the same circumstances like last time.
Oh and I knew I wasn't the only one that thought Garou said "bruh" there XD
Keep up the great work man!
saitama really pulled a moses and split evil natural ocean in half
We just witnessed the start of a beautiful friendship between Garou and Metal Bat
Saitama surfing is amazingly hilarious and funny.😭😭😭☠☠☠. BEST MANGA EVER!!!
I get excited every single time I see a new review of one punch man by you. Thank you for doing such a great day.
Awakened Garou, Orochi, Boros, Platinum S, Psykorochi, Sage Centipede, Evil Ocean Water. We got a lot of above dragons now
I think Garou development is actually really cool, because remember Garou always wanted a monster to win right? Well he's a monster winning against the bad guy. This is a change I actually like, because weather Garou admits it or not, Garou's getting what he wants, the monster is winning and that him. He turned into a monster, but a monster isn't evil by nature, we've seen in the Webcomic and the Manga plenty of monster be good function members on society. Saitama vs Garou will happen most likely, but it'll be different then the Webcomic, Saitama vs Garou will be a fight of respect, rather than Garou's being merciless monster. He's become human and sane, the 1st monster from God to do so
Exactly and the fact that Suriyu noticed that as well says something.
holy crap, I've gotten 23 likes?! Already
Or maybe not 🤷🏻♂️
Well the centipede keep saying God and i think Garou got annoyed for that, repeating God this God that and etc.
People forget that GAROU and Metal Bat are just teenagers. Metal bat is 17 and Garou is 18
Fandom needs to chill.

To add, Saitama even said to Garou is holding back against the S class heroes to not kill them entirely.
He beat up bangs pupil and bang beat garou inch of his life and now garou beat bang within inch if his life and now he's satisfied and now is good even though he's good anyways
I'm curious why is the manga going down a different way than Ones Webcomic?
@@sidecharacter68 the manga is not going down from the webcomic...the manga itself was written by one and it serves as a completion for the webcomic

Another great video man! I can't wait to see this all animated.
That's really cool man, I wonder when garou vs saitama gonna come out
I reckon that's gonna be insane
I am not surprised Garou is temporarily allying with Metal Bat or any hero for that matter. He wants Tarou safe one way or another. I feel that the moment Tarou's safety is slightly confirmed he is just gonna go back to vicious cycle of getting angry at hero's "hypocrisy", getting retaliation, getting more angry. Of course, not sure how metal bat is going to react then though. This is really interesting to see.
Also, guess Saitama had enough of water after his bath and uh... squirt

Same energy 🤝
I wonder if maybe the kid gets hurt and Garou loses it at the heros for not protecting him and that’s how we get the blood thirsty Garou
Metal Bat has gotten much MUCH more stronger to see his movement and to keep up with him on equal terms of strength
Saitama surfing with the aircraft carrier it's so dope man.😂
I expected this! Cause metal bat has more resemblance to garou then anyone else!
I like this direction. It's kinda like a what-if scenario when comparing the webcomic to the manga.
Gaoro didn't almost kill him his kid sister almost killed him from karate chop she's op
The art is so Transcendent and clean. Loving the series so far.
Awesome bro... I love OPM so much... can't wait for the Animated series to continue!!!
Edit
I thought Saitima already killed Sage Centipede? Or was that elder Centipede?
I think it’s a new breed if I remember it’s called elder sage centipede
He killed elder centipede, this is a different one
1:04 very relatable ad all i do is shit on the net
prediction: garou still has empathy for the kid he sees himself in. he cares about him and wants to protect him, but… that helicopter is going down, maybe saitama saves them all but garou will think tareo is dead, then he will lose his humanity and fully accept his monster side after thinking that the only way to prevent this again is to be the strongest and strike fear into everyone. he still has empathy which is what is holding him back. garou is simply just an 18 year old teenager who has the wrong view on the world and needs a spanking
EDIT: and we also know that god is deceptive as we saw with how he tried to manipulate tatsumaki into accepting his power. Now, we know garou does not accept help. but, what if god tricks garou as pretending to be tareo or something deceptive. as we know that sage is connected to god and saw garou focused on that kid, TRICKING garou into accepting his power. who knows but that could be very interesting.
Yeah that actually sounds like an interesting theory. I feel like your prediction will be correct or at least somewhat accurate

I do think blood thirsty Garou will appear again after fighting Sage? Centipede
I kept going forth and back on your channel, hoping your take on manga was already here. Just finished eating and there's nothing better than being here within 10 minutes it's upload.
Garous duality is what makes him so intriguing.. he’s not developing in a singular way
uhm Garou was never bloodthirsty in the webcomic.
@John Smith yeah but he purposefully holds back from killing them.
OPM really seems a Good Shonen anime with a smooth plot ......and the Saitama comes and makes it a parody anime
Garu has never been bloodthirsty in the webcomic. He only pretended to be, only sorta wanted to be, he has never actually killed a single hero. He just smacked them hard.
That's why he has never truly transformed into a monster.
Man season 3 is going to be amazing, can't wait for it to get animated
I didn't like the last pages of Garou and Metal bat arguing with the silly chibi faces and i also found it weird that the manga is taking this direction especially after everything that has been happening lately, it kinda ruined the mood for me but the chapter was still godly
Taking what direction? This is like the first time in a while that they've been goofy, since Saitama was underground. It's been pretty serious all-around with just a bit of comic-relief.
Chill dude, they're teenagers
It overexxagerates Puri Puri Prisoner's size in comparison to Darkshine and also PPP's grotesque movements that are far and beyond his norm
I don't know how you missed that and said this was the first instance, but it's been happening a lot throughout this entire arc. A big head and small body similar to Dragon Ball's style of shoutint expletives doesn't seem that out there.
@@kjphantom3445 I'm only a causal fan of OPM series but I have seen many characters, on multiple occasions, change their physical appearance to be goofy so not sure where you got that from...
I was surprised by the people who are always on the negative side of things.
@@fbi4236 tell em FBI
I'm so glad I found your channel. Love the way you break down each chapter. Well, you got a new subscriber now!
Garou have that kind of relationship with Tareo, and im 99% certain Murata/ONE will explore more of this
What is the difference between Manga and it's webcomic
