The whole god-like red reaper makes no sense. Let's put this into perspective. You, as in CI and Hexworks, make a game where you have two worlds overlapping each other. Which is amazing to me and I can't think of any other games that have done this. This dual world concept is a big "W" in the game. One of the pros, if you will, in any review. However, this concept is then shitted on by an enemy that is virtually a god. Now, I have felt this way long before the reaper was patched and was cheezable. Although you could cheese him, it still didn't make much sense to me to even have him in the game. Hear me out. The red reaper now, even more so since the patch, exists merely as a timer. You have spent too long in Umbral and here he comes to end your stay. Ok, I get that, but here are 3 reasons why this is stupid. 1. You take all this time to create a beautiful dual-world system, but then severely limit the players time exploring it by creating an enemy that can one-shot them. 2. The longer you stay in Umbral the more creatures appear and the harder the creatures get, so even when this menace shows up you're already surrounded by gargoyles, moth ladies, black reapers, and what-have-you, to the point where your looking for the exit anyway. Perhaps at higher levels you can handle all these enemies, but not at lower levels. 3. The longer you stay in Umbral the greater the reward, up to that 3x bonus. However, that 3x bonus hits at the exact moment the red reaper comes to tell you to leave. Thus making the 3x bonus useless, as you now have to run your ass off to the exit. This is the exact reason people were trapping the red reaper on the elevators, just to take advantage of the 3x bonus, otherwise it's not possible. Devs, the red reaper is doing more harm then good. Trust me. Here is what you do. Nerf the shit out of him. He can stay uncheezable, but nerf his ass. Take away the health depletion, lower his damage, and allow us to heal. I would say, make him 2x the black reaper. He has double the health and does twice the damage. He can also absorb the black reaper to heal himself. You might say that's too easy, but I'm not done. It should take about 5 mins for the eye to red and a single red reaper comes for you. For most, at lower levels who run from black reapers anyway, are running from the red reaper. Higher levels can beat him, but 1 min later another one shows up. If you have not beaten him, you are now faced with two. And this continues for the next 5 mins. One red reaper spawning every minute till 10 mins has passed in Umbral. The longer you survive, the longer you can take advantage of the 3x bonus. After 10 mins, two red reapers start to show up every min. If you can't kill two in 1 min, you're now faced with four. So, you see. After 11, 12, 13 mins the red reapers just keep coming in greater numbers to end you. It doesn't matter how strong you are, they will eventually over power you. Because at the 15 minute threshold, they spawn three at time. What this does is give everyone what they want. The reaper becomes killable and is farmable for higher level players, but at some point he also eventually destroys anyone that stays in Umbral too long. Stronger players are rewarded with longer exploration time in Umbral and can also put that 3x bonus to use. Of course, with the nerf, the rewards for killing a red reaper should be nerfed as well. Maybe only 1k per kill with 1 umbral scouring. Imagine the conversations and competitions that would arise in the player base. How long can you survive in Umbral? How many red reapers have you faced at once? How many red reapers have you killed? All can be rewarded as well. Achievements for surviving 10 mins in Umbral or 15 mins in Umbral. After 5 red reaper kills you get a Rebirth Chrysalis. After 10 kills you get the Eye of Marco. 20 kills you get his red robes. 50 kills you get his right-hand sword. Whatever. I'm just throwing things out there. Devs, let's get creative with the red reaper and not reduce him to an alarm clock.
Go ahead and put in your application buddy. You need to have started working for them since the game was a dirty thought. You need to be handed the keys to the kingdom and become their ne CEO! It's criminal how accurate you are but I doubt any of that golden goose of an idea would creep into their red reaper fan boy brains. Awesome idea. If only the developers would listen and make most of it a reality. That's what I can get behind. Have a crazy type of reaper that's challenging but not impossible and for the ones who don't want to fight him and just want the items, just make him cheese-able in a certain way where others could have the challenge but others could just trick the AI if they didn't want that fight and is trying to get rid if him as quickly as possible. If it doesn't effect other players then let us have fun how we see fit. Hopefully they will see and read this because it does seem they are always on top of shutting down any type of farm when it comes our on TH-cam lol
@iMaPound420 some people don't have the time or skill. Or they just don't want to spend another month grinding away on a new character. Some people like to play the game the first time around and level as much as they like and then start a new character for pvp. It's not about gittng gudder it's another the time it takes to regather most of what they need including scuragings the main reason the Reaper cheese is so popular. When you play one character alone I can see why you say git gud but if you create another character and don't have a friend to drop you things then it's just going to be super annoying to go through all of that all over again. It's not about skill or the ability to go into new game plus. It's about having something you can use to create totally new builds for pvp if it ever get fixed 😁 I don't level my characters higher than 125 but if they don't fix the level scaling in pvp I may just go ahead and max one out lol
Exactly! Idk its weird how they want it to be uncheese-able but have items that are useful in early game but not so useful late game. The eye it drops is very useful and I guess it would help way more in new game plus. But some people like myself don't play new game plus, I would rather start a new character and do a entirely different build. But having to re-farm everything and buy boss weapons that I would like to get as soon as the boss is defeated but can't because I don't have enough scuragings and now can't farm them easily....it's just super annoying and makes me not even want to try anymore. And there are really more important issues for them to focus on like fixing pvp! But no they just want the red reaper to be cheese proof 🤣 fromsoftware doesn't do this when we find farms in their games because they have the common sense to let us have fun the way we want. We paid money for this game just for them to change the rules on one enemy in particular that's not even a boss!

Yeah anything to do with rune farming they don't care because they know we are having fun. But these guys got butt hurt because they told us to be warned in one of those patches because players were trolling the reaper and they buffed it up but we STILL found a way to farm him lol so they just got mad and made it impossible to escape as that new attack can even kill you on ladders. I believe they made that attack latch on to the player so no matter where you are it will always be able to follow you. I was looking at the reaper one time and the swords still shot out of the ground like it was in 2 places at once! Wtf? They are just taking the fun out of the game. They have bigger things to worry about than their reaper getting cheesed
That happened to me once. Getting shanked by the reaper while climbing a ladder and then my character falls to her death. That was bullsh*t. They either need to make him cheeseable again, for those who are low level and can't conventionally fight him yet or, still make him tough to fight but make it so the rewards for defeating him are worth the struggle. And, freaking allow us to heal!!! Not much point in trying to fight him I'd you don't stand a chance to begin with. Otherwise, no one will even bother. Why even make the attempt?

They don't take in to the account of people wanting to start new characters for pvp when it gets fixed in 10 years 🤣 but I really don't want to grind away for another character. I want to get it where I want it asap so I can actually play ....or try to play pvp with all that bouncing around into the hosts swords

Although it would be nice to be able to have a different combat style that I could try out. But unless you one shot the host you loss rate is going to be super high because it's like you get pulled into a blender of the hosts attacks
The window time between x.200 and x.300 needs to be longer I'm fine with x2 especially when the red reaper has more health than most bosses in this game
The problem isn’t that he exists. It’s that he drops the eyes that you can trade for the scourings. There should be another viable way to get these in the game. The only relatable way is him and the red lanterns. Red lanterns are not guaranteed and seem far too rare at times. So you are left with him. I should also mention the other option is to play the game 3-4 times to unlock everyone, which is not a good idea. I like this game despite its flaws, but things like this kill it for me. I want to level up and try other builds but it’s hard when some cool boss weapons cost so much to get and the farm is a pain in the ass.
I don't remember it dropping any eyes like the lanterns do I know he drops about 5 scuragings after the fist kill . The first kill it drops 20 scuragings and the eye of Marco the axe

I know they are kinda new smaller company, but you would think all of their energy would go to figuring out those problems and not crying about people cheesing the reaper. They even added a message in the patch notes about people have been trolling it but it can now follow you down elevators and such " yOu HaVe BeEn WaRnEd " and then we find yet another a different way each time so I guess they brain stormed and figured out a way to get attacked anywhere if for some reason the Reaper can't reach us. They have put a little too much energy into making it uncheese-able
100 patches and they’re more focused on buffing an enemy yet i still have to quit and and launch the game every 40 minutes before it turns in to a powerpoint slide show on Xbox S

Most likely after the hype for shadow of the erdtree to fade after its release. Yes they have made a lot of money filling the elden ring dlc void but in the long run whenever the next game they make comes out, people are going to 2nd guess buying it at full price straight away

Made him immune to poison bleed high as resistance to smite pretty much everything even physical dmg. Made him 20x harder to kill and reduced the amount of souls for killing him by not cheering it to nothing.
So besides the eye and scuragings what's the point of even trying to fight it to defeat it and get basically nothing. Have it drop some armor or some top tier weapons or something. Why whats the point of making it a super reaper? Developers got things twisted for sure bro
@mr.nobodyeldensouls he's somewhat easy to kill with 2 people and that's not even cheesing it. They need to buff the amount of souls he gives to make it balanced 😤 we stayed killing him for like 3 hours and even then the amount of souls were mediocre.
@@andrewfuertes8798 yeah the scuragings would be the pay off in that situation. But you can always farm pieta and the light reaper in new game plus and then start over to fight them in a loop. But there need to be a early game farm that viable. They just don't get that not everyone want to grind for each character they make.

Wolong didn't last very long for reasons idk because I didn't even try it out. Samurai themes are not my type of game. Bit I watched the pvp and something was missing but I just couldn't point it out. I'm really wanting to try this one out before everyone leaves. The developers need to act fast. Before they are placed in critical condition and their game goes on sale lol
Guys... honestly? In the endgame I can fight and defeat him in a fair and square duel pretty regularly, and I swear is not that hard if you use Spear and Shield. It makes no sense to cheese him, he is actually defeatable. Welcome the challenge and try.
Me too around lvl 200 isnt a challenge anymore ... Want vigor help the community go coop as those game are intended. Its easy to get around 300k and a nice game session. Thats an Action Rpg godsake not the last destiny
@@Oldschoolratz84 not everyone wants to play as intended their 2nd and third character used for pvp. But since pvp is broken. Might as well play as intended because unless you are one shotting people you are not going to have a good time. I like to play the game as intended my first time around but if I miss a quest or want to start a new character I want to run through it as quickly as possible. And at level 130 the red reaper isn't as bad because he can't one shot you and you have max weapons. But I want to murder him at low levels for the eye of Marco

just put a shared storage between characters and buff the reaper to at least 9x strong. I have to much vigor on the main character since ng+ gives a ton of vigor, and I melt every boss with no issue, if I play with my friend on ng+ any boss is dead in 30s, we finished the game only on umbral till the end that’s how easy it is.
A shared storage? Only in our wildest dreams 😊 awesome idea but I doubt the developers would put something In the game as great as that. It would fix the problem because you could just pass on the items you need to whatever character you need them for. Oh how I wish they would work that kind of storage system into the game 🤠

Another good feature would be if you finished the game and started ng+ to be able to roll back from ng+ 3 to ng+0 2 to have funn or explore more. I have a friend who plays and I transfer items and vigor with his help but not everybody has that luxury.

I finally got my light reaper inferno build perfect tonight tried a few invasions and it is STILL absolutely trash. But LeTs BuFf ThE rEd ReApEr that will make everything better. Smh some people want to get that eye at low levels and if they want to cheese then let them cheese if you can't fix the important things. I loaded up my shield with Nartun and used the aura to replenish health. Worked perfectly. Just keep a distance between hits and your health and mana regenerate and he was dead. E z
Have you tried the eyes that let's you poise through anything? And attacks received turns to wither damage? Yeah the reaper isn't really all that hard as long as you don't get one shotted and have a means to heal. The main point of the video is they are focusing on all the wrong things instead of fixing the things that is going to keep the player base alive

I have a hard time understanding the logic here. It's like the devs are going out of their way to make it as hard as possible. They seem to have confused *difficulty* with *annoying asf* and built the game based on how annoying it is. Yeah 100% Elden Ring will always be there when u need my pvp fix. The game itself has improved with frame drops and mob density and they were doing good for a while fixing stuff. But then it's like they did a hard U-turn and started announcing stuff that we really don't need. Talking about expanding inventory? Is it that hard to give us a chest at skyrest? And they are very stingy with skulls and scuragings. And now with the super reaper buff, unless you have a Friend to drop you all the things you need skulls, scuragings, weapons ext. Your pretty much Fked lol I see people posting how they farm the red reaper by fighting it....but when they show their stats they are level 300 with plus 10 weapons 😂 it's not that the reaper can't be beat. It's creating new characters and getting what you need for them. And having to grind for everything all over again is just a big turn off. But the biggest turn off is focusing more on the reaper being cheesed than giving us playable pvp with level scaling and like I said a got damned storage box 🤣
The game itself is fun in a tedious type of way. I still haven't beat it because I can only play a couple hours at a time before I need a break. It feels like a chore to progress
Sekiro is a masterpiece of a game. You literally can beat the game with timed parries and dodge. You don’t need anything else. I generally don’t chalk up much to a skill issue, but that’s what Sekiro is. Once you reach Genichiro it’s skill checking on every new boss, culminating in sword saint Isshin. I lied. The only other thing you need to do is jump. Jump, parry, and dodge. You can even Larry red attacks if timed properly. Everything else is just a bonus. If you can’t beat that game it’s because of a lack of skill or you just gave up.

I’m a fan. But by the time I got around to the red rapper he’s been patched to oblivion. The mechanics suck, but the damage he takes vs what her dishes out after waiting 5 min and dealing with adds….. he’s the real final boss.
It would have been better if they made it a boss. Like you have to defeat it so many times before the actual final battle at the. Castle or something lol. Have it drop the red reaper robes and weapons. I actually like the game when the frame's are not dropping. And I wish the pvp was working correctly where more people would stick around. I had very high hopes for this game but it's like they can't fix what needs to be fixed. And them Buffing the reaper is ridiculous weird how the search all of youtube just to find more ways to make it uncheese-able. The red reaper isn't really that bad at higher levels with good weapons but people don't want to work that hard just to get a few scuragings. And the ones who can't beat it but need the scuragings for boss weapons get annoyed and stop playing. The player base is at a all time low now. It's sad because when I'm playing used to have to turn multi-player off because I would keep getting invaded by high level one shotting d$cks that I could deal much damage to. And now I can do a whole playthrough because no one can seem to connect with anyone now. I really like this game and I hope they iron everything out and it makes a come back. But from the looks of things by the time shadow of the erdtree drops it will be forgotten by most. I don't know why the developers are so much against farming. It's pointless to make it uncheese-able when people can dupe and have plenty of whatever they need while others who don't dupe have to scrape by with the bare minimum. I just think it would be a whole lot better if they started focusing on what is really wrong with the game and stop worrying about pointless side quests and a enemy that isn't even considered a boss. Ironically it does effect other players. Vigor duping is the worst and main culprit but afk and glitch farming is the next because the amassment of vigor lets people push their levels to 500+ and then invade low levels and 1 shot them while taking minimum damage from passive defense gain on levels
Well if they fix the level scaling like they are supposed to have from the start that would not be a problem. And people can get to that level or already have gotten to that level so what does it even matter anymore then anyways? And it's not like pvp is playable right now 🤣 all the rubber banding that should have been fixed first...but no they want to focus on the reaper
@@mr.nobodyeldensouls unfortunately be it by choice or due to lack of funding/budgeting, they chose Peer2peer server system so fixing rubber banding on that is going to be a hurdle. It's likely that they have multiple teams focused on various aspects and the rubber banding and disconnects are taking a longer time to figure out a long term solution. It's a lot easier to just update a single AI's programming. Overall I use dual shortswords and 75 inferno and just fight him but to each their own.
@@tylertech9583 and you are a higher level? This is for the ones that are lower levels and need the items it drops to get the weapons they need for whatever build. It's not that the reaper is impossible to beat. It's just It's nearly impossible for a new character and most people don't want to go through all the grinding they had to do with their main character
@@mr.nobodyeldensouls it's not meant to be an enemy a new player is supposed to be able to easily kill. It's literally meant to be something about the Umbral to fear and want to run and find an effigy before it gets you. Then when you grow strong you can fight back.
@@tylertech9583 it's not a boss and it's how new characters get leveled up fast by ether trapping it on top of a elevator or selling the scuragings. But unless you have a Friend that can drop things to you, you're out of luck now. After playing the game and at the end game me personally I messed up by killing the light reaper early at fref or whatever the snow place is called which locked me out of a quest line and locked me out of the swords special attacks. So I started a new game because I haven't finished the game on my main character yet. But I wanted to level up as fast as I could so I could run through the game to get back to that point where I can do Isaac's quest and summon him at the light reapers final battle spot. And it's less of a headache with the eye of Marco the axe to progress through the game which already feels like a fun chore. How many farms has fromsoft and the great Miyazaki patched? Not many because they don't care as long as the players are having fun . It may not be intentional but it just makes the game that much better. And just because some like it better super hard going through the game cheese free with one character. Others like to create many characters and get through it as quickly as they can. And stopping to find those spirits that gives you 2 scuragings at a time take a lot of hours to find them all and if you want a specific boss weapon you won't be about to get it now until later while everyone else already has them. The reaper getting buffed doesn't change the damage already done. If they was going to make it this difficult they should have done it from launch and not put messages in the patch notes bragging about the reaper getting stronger and "we have been warned " it's like they themselves are mad we are cheeseing it. But if we are having fun what's the harm? You say because higher level players can invade lower level players. Yes they can but that's not our fault and how are the lower levels supposed to catch up with the multiplier vigor farms being shut down as soon as mr.red appears? It has the potential to be a great game . But if they don't have the budget to fix something then why put it in the game in the first place? To get more money from people wanting to play pvp? Well that's fine. But it's not fine if pvp is unplayable and you get one shotted by high level invaders. It needs a lot of work but until they get those fixed, the reaper should be at the bottom of the list
The eye the reaper dropped socket into the first lamp slot but you have to finish him off yourself with weapons. You kinda have no choice but to do it that way now but that's how you get it and all the small creatures in the umbral will be scared of you and rarely attack
That's the eye of Marco the axe you get from defeating the red reaper with a weapon or bow. Soceted into your first lantern slot and it gives you the red glow and makes smaller enemies in the umbral afraid of you and the hardly ever attack
I really feel like companies do this to FORCE you to play longer... but I'm not so sure that's what happens... making players farm and farm and farm isn't fun... hence they'll move on probably sooner than they would if they coulds just HAVE FUN. Souls games have forgotten the master tenet of games... the fun, they often try to remove as much of it as possible.
Souls like games yes. There's not maybe farms actual souls games ever patched. Most still exist to this day because they don't care. They leave it up to us if we want to play the game honestly or farm our way to the top. Those poor albinaurics are still getting farmed for their runes to this very day 🤣 they are going to be put on the endangered species list
I think barbie reaper is fine. He is serving its purpose. Agreed that there are plenty other issues in the game... its clunky and annoying when basic stuff dont work. Like, why my roll changes direction mid-way should a locked enemy move :D I think giving players the cheese will make population leave sooner actually. Just need tech fixes mostly...

I don't care about multiple endings or anything enough to replay the entire game except for getting the light reapers special attack. But I'm more pvp focused. And I am still waiting for the rubber banding to stop and level scaling fixes. I have Friends and know how to dupe but for the ones who don't. Those are going to be less players I get to invade because they don't want to deal will trying to kill the red reaper over and over at low levels to try and get the stuff they need. And things are really expensive in this game. I can either buy a couple things of ignite salts and ammunition pouches or level up 2 times. Lol they could at least left the way to farm vigor alone but if you are not skilled or leveled up to beat the red reaper then you are not going to find very good vigor farms unless you have a Friend to drop you all the skulls and items needed.

Every time there is a rune farm or soul farm in souls games 99% of the time they leave it alone. Because they know better . They don't care of people are exploiting a mob or whatever. They see that if that's how some players have fun with the game they made then it's just a every greater game because the fans found a way to enjoy a part of the game that wasn't intended. And as long as it doesn't hurt other players experience then they really don't care how we enjoy it. I never regret any of my darksouls-elden ring purchases. They have all been amazing. Even elden ring when it first came out with wild overpowered weapons. I can deal with that. But when games nerf or buff something just because the players find a way to cheese it. It's like they are buffing it just to piss us off. It's not even a main boss! And if that's how some players have fun then leave it alone. If we keep finding ways to cheese it , I think that means there is a reason why. We need something from that particular enemy.

It's not that the reaper is unkillable its the fact that they are not fixing the right things and giving us a patch road map of armor free dlc or whatever and taking the fun away of cheeseing a late game enemy. Lol the game is broken. Simple as that. The red reaper isn't all that big of deal with good weapons and a high enough level. But it's how some people level up new characters and get boss weapon without having to grind for them all over again. And some people are just not skilled enough to beat the reaper without healing. And if it's how people have fun then let them. The PROBLEM is that the developers are focusing more on the RED reaper than they are fixing the real problems. Invading is nearly impossible unless you have a super powerful one shot build because you get rubber banded into the hosts hits. But instead of fixing stuff they are worried about the reaper getting cheesed wtf? 🤣
Or they could also just make it to where the reaper ain't a damn god and you can actually fight at least the one you get the eyeball from might make it to where you don't have to be max level to fight him

Like I said in the video I believe they have tethered the new attack to the character making it so where ever you are if the reaper can not reach you those swords pop out where your standing. I have actually seen the reaper in one place and the swords got me anyways like it was in two places at once. It is definitely a F-you To anyone attempting to cheese him. If I can find a spot where I'm on ground level with it but some how block him from getting to me that the cheese can still be done. But as of now I have not come across such a magical spot lol. I have more than what I need. I just want to cheese the reaper out of spite now 🤣

Not everyone is the same when it comes to the game and the ones who want a easy way to level up a new character can't anymore unless they get dropped some skulls. They definitely are not listening anymore. And idk even when it doesn't have anything to do with the reaper. Things are still really hard to farm for. If they want to be like fromsoft then they may want to pay closer attention to the little details

And it even seems they can even match up to the original darksouls pvp at the moment. It's just terrible. Too terrible to play . The pve is ok but not something you want to get harder when you want to create new characters. And for the ones who don't have Friends to drop them things is really going to be out of luck with the reaper buff. I bought the Xbox series x just to play this game and although it has been entertaining. I'm really disappointed I can't play pvp properly

I can kill his ass regardless. He still has high damage output especially the tripple slice combo if not careful. He doesnt need more buffs for annoyance once you reach a level of competence. He just has stupid high hp when I gotta deal with him.

For the ones who don't want to go into new game tho? Like me I have not even beaten the game yet I'm still at the very last part because of work and making videos and real life. But I'm still waiting on pvp to straighten up and I'm not trying to level more than 125 just in case. But afk farming with a new character is super easy and you can't start a new game plus with new characters. It would be nice tho to have a way to reset the area without going into new game plus. And not everyone is skilled enough to effectively farm the light reaper.
@@mr.nobodyeldensouls there are no level restrictions in pvp as of now (sadly). If developers decide to introduce balancing, they should provide us with means to get levels and items faster. Overall I agree with you, having decent way to farm vigor would be nice, maybe something between cheese and time drain while having fun. Is it even possible? :D

They need to do things differently. If they can't fix pvp and give us a chest for our weapons then give use the cheese until they can fix it to make our experience a little more enjoyable. It's driving people away which is sad because I want to invade when pvp gets fixed and balanced if it ever does

But As an individual consumer who wants to “enjoy” the product for as long as possible, this creates a new strain…. I want my $ to get as much bang for buck while they want to spread their output efforts as minimally for the most profit. These 2 things cannot be satisfied simultaneously. It’s a good game. Oh they added a new mystical gate that it's only purpose is to make the player stop to pass through with their lamp. It's like they are just f$cking with us at this point. Right now I'm finishing up my wizard Hunter series where I use the erdtree Greatshield to shoot people's spells back at them. The last video will come out either today or tomorrow if you are interested. Oh and there is a spot after you fight the hallowed crow right beside the spot you fight the light reaper for the 3rd time where it kinda glitches out the red reaper and he won't spawn in or gets trapped. I did it by accident and then died to a butterfly. And then tried to recreate it but this time he spawned in so I did something different. I'll try to get it perfected and I'll make a video on it. It's just sad there's no early game areas to help people. I don't do farming that much but I love helping others players that do like to farm
These devs sure know how to get people that actually enjoyed their game to lose that love and piss right off. I hope they come around eventually and make quality of life changes for those without as much time to spend locked into how they think we should pay their game, but I'm not holding my breath. It is their game, and it is absolutely within their rights to gatekeep how we play it, but in my humble opinion, they have been making the wrong decisions around some of these changes and focusing on the wrong things. I know they have made thousands of changes and have been grinding out patches nonstop, but shit like being double sickle'd in your face even on a damn ladder, on top of the absolutely overdone trash mobs and the fact that areas like the Two Belfries (I think that's what it's called - with the 60+ enemies and dogs and ranged attack spam) exist, makes me sad to say, "It's a no for me, dog." When you show someone that you don't value their time, it becomes a challenging sell when you then ask them to give you said time.
YES! I couldn't have said it better myself. Exactly my point. Some people don't get what is so important about this. It's not that the reaper is super hard now. It's just that was one way we could get items quickly and they take it away every time we find a way around it in a already broken game. If pvp was fixed and we had a storage chest it would make the game 70% better. But it's like they are so focused on making the game as hard as possible and uncheese-able that it's turning people away from the headache. The game is tedious and I can only play it for a couple hours at a time. But it's kinda fun. Like cleaning the yard in the middle of a bikini car wash 🤣 or fixing a roof while zip lining from house to house kinda fun.

They made it too hard until end game. But even then it is still a challenge. What is the use of getting the eye to make life easier in the umbral if most can't get it until their player is maxed out and leveled up. I guess they want you to have it just for new game plus. But myself I don't play new game plus I just start new characters

The whole god-like red reaper makes no sense. Let's put this into perspective. You, as in CI and Hexworks, make a game where you have two worlds overlapping each other. Which is amazing to me and I can't think of any other games that have done this. This dual world concept is a big "W" in the game. One of the pros, if you will, in any review. However, this concept is then shitted on by an enemy that is virtually a god. Now, I have felt this way long before the reaper was patched and was cheezable. Although you could cheese him, it still didn't make much sense to me to even have him in the game. Hear me out. The red reaper now, even more so since the patch, exists merely as a timer. You have spent too long in Umbral and here he comes to end your stay. Ok, I get that, but here are 3 reasons why this is stupid. 1. You take all this time to create a beautiful dual-world system, but then severely limit the players time exploring it by creating an enemy that can one-shot them. 2. The longer you stay in Umbral the more creatures appear and the harder the creatures get, so even when this menace shows up you're already surrounded by gargoyles, moth ladies, black reapers, and what-have-you, to the point where your looking for the exit anyway. Perhaps at higher levels you can handle all these enemies, but not at lower levels. 3. The longer you stay in Umbral the greater the reward, up to that 3x bonus. However, that 3x bonus hits at the exact moment the red reaper comes to tell you to leave. Thus making the 3x bonus useless, as you now have to run your ass off to the exit. This is the exact reason people were trapping the red reaper on the elevators, just to take advantage of the 3x bonus, otherwise it's not possible. Devs, the red reaper is doing more harm then good. Trust me.
Here is what you do. Nerf the shit out of him. He can stay uncheezable, but nerf his ass. Take away the health depletion, lower his damage, and allow us to heal. I would say, make him 2x the black reaper. He has double the health and does twice the damage. He can also absorb the black reaper to heal himself. You might say that's too easy, but I'm not done. It should take about 5 mins for the eye to red and a single red reaper comes for you. For most, at lower levels who run from black reapers anyway, are running from the red reaper. Higher levels can beat him, but 1 min later another one shows up. If you have not beaten him, you are now faced with two. And this continues for the next 5 mins. One red reaper spawning every minute till 10 mins has passed in Umbral. The longer you survive, the longer you can take advantage of the 3x bonus. After 10 mins, two red reapers start to show up every min. If you can't kill two in 1 min, you're now faced with four. So, you see. After 11, 12, 13 mins the red reapers just keep coming in greater numbers to end you. It doesn't matter how strong you are, they will eventually over power you. Because at the 15 minute threshold, they spawn three at time. What this does is give everyone what they want. The reaper becomes killable and is farmable for higher level players, but at some point he also eventually destroys anyone that stays in Umbral too long. Stronger players are rewarded with longer exploration time in Umbral and can also put that 3x bonus to use. Of course, with the nerf, the rewards for killing a red reaper should be nerfed as well. Maybe only 1k per kill with 1 umbral scouring. Imagine the conversations and competitions that would arise in the player base. How long can you survive in Umbral? How many red reapers have you faced at once? How many red reapers have you killed? All can be rewarded as well. Achievements for surviving 10 mins in Umbral or 15 mins in Umbral. After 5 red reaper kills you get a Rebirth Chrysalis. After 10 kills you get the Eye of Marco. 20 kills you get his red robes. 50 kills you get his right-hand sword. Whatever. I'm just throwing things out there. Devs, let's get creative with the red reaper and not reduce him to an alarm clock.
Go ahead and put in your application buddy. You need to have started working for them since the game was a dirty thought. You need to be handed the keys to the kingdom and become their ne CEO! It's criminal how accurate you are but I doubt any of that golden goose of an idea would creep into their red reaper fan boy brains. Awesome idea. If only the developers would listen and make most of it a reality. That's what I can get behind. Have a crazy type of reaper that's challenging but not impossible and for the ones who don't want to fight him and just want the items, just make him cheese-able in a certain way where others could have the challenge but others could just trick the AI if they didn't want that fight and is trying to get rid if him as quickly as possible. If it doesn't effect other players then let us have fun how we see fit. Hopefully they will see and read this because it does seem they are always on top of shutting down any type of farm when it comes our on TH-cam lol

Some people like to play the game the first time around and level as much as they like and then start a new character for pvp. It's not about gittng gudder it's another the time it takes to regather most of what they need including scuragings the main reason the Reaper cheese is so popular. When you play one character alone I can see why you say git gud but if you create another character and don't have a friend to drop you things then it's just going to be super annoying to go through all of that all over again. It's not about skill or the ability to go into new game plus. It's about having something you can use to create totally new builds for pvp if it ever get fixed 😁 I don't level my characters higher than 125 but if they don't fix the level scaling in pvp I may just go ahead and max one out lol

Exactly! Idk its weird how they want it to be uncheese-able but have items that are useful in early game but not so useful late game. The eye it drops is very useful and I guess it would help way more in new game plus. But some people like myself don't play new game plus, I would rather start a new character and do a entirely different build. But having to re-farm everything and buy boss weapons that I would like to get as soon as the boss is defeated but can't because I don't have enough scuragings and now can't farm them easily....it's just super annoying and makes me not even want to try anymore. And there are really more important issues for them to focus on like fixing pvp! But no they just want the red reaper to be cheese proof 🤣 fromsoftware doesn't do this when we find farms in their games because they have the common sense to let us have fun the way we want. We paid money for this game just for them to change the rules on one enemy in particular that's not even a boss!

He has the same attacks as the normal reaper. Is like 3 different attacks with pretty long dodge windows and a lot of them are extremely telegraphed.

Dark souls/elden ring rarely ever patch exploits. Like the Royal sword/bird you can get to run off cliff for 35k souls
Yeah anything to do with rune farming they don't care because they know we are having fun. But these guys got butt hurt because they told us to be warned in one of those patches because players were trolling the reaper and they buffed it up but we STILL found a way to farm him lol so they just got mad and made it impossible to escape as that new attack can even kill you on ladders. I believe they made that attack latch on to the player so no matter where you are it will always be able to follow you. I was looking at the reaper one time and the swords still shot out of the ground like it was in 2 places at once! Wtf? They are just taking the fun out of the game. They have bigger things to worry about than their reaper getting cheesed
That happened to me once. Getting shanked by the reaper while climbing a ladder and then my character falls to her death. That was bullsh*t. They either need to make him cheeseable again, for those who are low level and can't conventionally fight him yet or, still make him tough to fight but make it so the rewards for defeating him are worth the struggle. And, freaking allow us to heal!!! Not much point in trying to fight him I'd you don't stand a chance to begin with. Otherwise, no one will even bother. Why even make the attempt?

Although it would be nice to be able to have a different combat style that I could try out. But unless you one shot the host you loss rate is going to be super high because it's like you get pulled into a blender of the hosts attacks
The window time between x.200 and x.300 needs to be longer I'm fine with x2 especially when the red reaper has more health than most bosses in this game
They either need to debuff the reaper or find a middle ground where we can't cheese him but we can still farm to get what we need.
The problem isn’t that he exists. It’s that he drops the eyes that you can trade for the scourings. There should be another viable way to get these in the game. The only relatable way is him and the red lanterns. Red lanterns are not guaranteed and seem far too rare at times. So you are left with him. I should also mention the other option is to play the game 3-4 times to unlock everyone, which is not a good idea. I like this game despite its flaws, but things like this kill it for me. I want to level up and try other builds but it’s hard when some cool boss weapons cost so much to get and the farm is a pain in the ass.
I don't remember it dropping any eyes like the lanterns do I know he drops about 5 scuragings after the fist kill . The first kill it drops 20 scuragings and the eye of Marco the axe
They're patching the reaper because they don't have the programming skills to fix the serious problems.

I know they are kinda new smaller company, but you would think all of their energy would go to figuring out those problems and not crying about people cheesing the reaper. Most likely after the hype for shadow of the erdtree to fade after its release. Yes they have made a lot of money filling the elden ring dlc void but in the long run whenever the next game they make comes out, people are going to 2nd guess buying it at full price straight away

Made him immune to poison bleed high as resistance to smite pretty much everything even physical dmg. Made him 20x harder to kill and reduced the amount of souls for killing him by not cheering it to nothing.
So besides the eye and scuragings what's the point of even trying to fight it to defeat it and get basically nothing. Have it drop some armor or some top tier weapons or something. Why whats the point of making it a super reaper? Developers got things twisted for sure bro
@mr.nobodyeldensouls he's somewhat easy to kill with 2 people and that's not even cheesing it. They need to buff the amount of souls he gives to make it balanced 😤 we stayed killing him for like 3 hours and even then the amount of souls were mediocre.
@@andrewfuertes8798 yeah the scuragings would be the pay off in that situation. But you can always farm pieta and the light reaper in new game plus and then start over to fight them in a loop. But there need to be a early game farm that viable. They just don't get that not everyone want to grind for each character they make.

Wolong didn't last very long for reasons idk because I didn't even try it out. Samurai themes are not my type of game. Guys... honestly? In the endgame I can fight and defeat him in a fair and square duel pretty regularly, and I swear is not that hard if you use Spear and Shield. It makes no sense to cheese him, he is actually defeatable. Welcome the challenge and try.

Might as well play as intended because unless you are one shotting people you are not going to have a good time. And at level 130 the red reaper isn't as bad because he can't one shot you and you have max weapons. But I want to murder him at low levels for the eye of Marco

just put a shared storage between characters and buff the reaper to at least 9x strong. I have to much vigor on the main character since ng+ gives a ton of vigor, and I melt every boss with no issue, if I play with my friend on ng+ any boss is dead in 30s, we finished the game only on umbral till the end that’s how easy it is.
A shared storage? Only in our wildest dreams 😊 awesome idea but I doubt the developers would put something In the game as great as that. It would fix the problem because you could just pass on the items you need to whatever character you need them for. Oh how I wish they would work that kind of storage system into the game 🤠

Another good feature would be if you finished the game and started ng+ to be able to roll back from ng+ 3 to ng+0 2 to have funn or explore more. I have a friend who plays and I transfer items and vigor with his help but not everybody has that luxury.

I finally got my light reaper inferno build perfect tonight tried a few invasions and it is STILL absolutely trash. But LeTs BuFf ThE rEd ReApEr that will make everything better. I loaded up my shield with Nartun and used the aura to replenish health. Worked perfectly. Just keep a distance between hits and your health and mana regenerate and he was dead. E z
Have you tried the eyes that let's you poise through anything? And attacks received turns to wither damage? Yeah the reaper isn't really all that hard as long as you don't get one shotted and have a means to heal. The main point of the video is they are focusing on all the wrong things instead of fixing the things that is going to keep the player base alive

Yeah 100% Elden Ring will always be there when u need my pvp fix. The game itself has improved with frame drops and mob density and they were doing good for a while fixing stuff. But then it's like they did a hard U-turn and started announcing stuff that we really don't need. Talking about expanding inventory? Is it that hard to give us a chest at skyrest? And they are very stingy with skulls and scuragings. And now with the super reaper buff, unless you have a Friend to drop you all the things you need skulls, scuragings, weapons ext. Your pretty much Fked lol I see people posting how they farm the red reaper by fighting it....but when they show their stats they are level 300 with plus 10 weapons 😂 it's not that the reaper can't be beat. It's creating new characters and getting what you need for them. And having to grind for everything all over again is just a big turn off. But the biggest turn off is focusing more on the reaper being cheesed than giving us playable pvp with level scaling and like I said a got damned storage box 🤣

The game itself is fun in a tedious type of way. I still haven't beat it because I can only play a couple hours at a time before I need a break. It feels like a chore to progress
Sekiro is a masterpiece of a game. You literally can beat the game with timed parries and dodge. You don’t need anything else. I generally don’t chalk up much to a skill issue, but that’s what Sekiro is. Once you reach Genichiro it’s skill checking on every new boss, culminating in sword saint Isshin.
I lied. The only other thing you need to do is jump. Jump, parry, and dodge. You can even Larry red attacks if timed properly. Everything else is just a bonus. If you can’t beat that game it’s because of a lack of skill or you just gave up.

I’m a fan. But by the time I got around to the red rapper he’s been patched to oblivion. The mechanics suck, but the damage he takes vs what her dishes out after waiting 5 min and dealing with adds….. he’s the real final boss.
It would have been better if they made it a boss. Like you have to defeat it so many times before the actual final battle at the. Castle or something lol. Have it drop the red reaper robes and weapons. I actually like the game when the frame's are not dropping. And I wish the pvp was working correctly where more people would stick around. I had very high hopes for this game but it's like they can't fix what needs to be fixed. And them Buffing the reaper is ridiculous weird how the search all of youtube just to find more ways to make it uncheese-able. The red reaper isn't really that bad at higher levels with good weapons but people don't want to work that hard just to get a few scuragings. And the ones who can't beat it but need the scuragings for boss weapons get annoyed and stop playing. The player base is at a all time low now. It's sad because when I'm playing used to have to turn multi-player off because I would keep getting invaded by high level one shotting d$cks that I could deal much damage to. And now I can do a whole playthrough because no one can seem to connect with anyone now. I really like this game and I hope they iron everything out and it makes a come back. But from the looks of things by the time shadow of the erdtree drops it will be forgotten by most. I don't know why the developers are so much against farming. It's pointless to make it uncheese-able when people can dupe and have plenty of whatever they need while others who don't dupe have to scrape by with the bare minimum. I just think it would be a whole lot better if they started focusing on what is really wrong with the game and stop worrying about pointless side quests and a enemy that isn't even considered a boss. Ironically it does effect other players. Vigor duping is the worst and main culprit but afk and glitch farming is the next because the amassment of vigor lets people push their levels to 500+ and then invade low levels and 1 shot them while taking minimum damage from passive defense gain on levels
Well if they fix the level scaling like they are supposed to have from the start that would not be a problem. And people can get to that level or already have gotten to that level so what does it even matter anymore then anyways? And it's not like pvp is playable right now 🤣 all the rubber banding that should have been fixed first...but no they want to focus on the reaper
@@mr.nobodyeldensouls unfortunately be it by choice or due to lack of funding/budgeting, they chose Peer2peer server system so fixing rubber banding on that is going to be a hurdle. It's likely that they have multiple teams focused on various aspects and the rubber banding and disconnects are taking a longer time to figure out a long term solution. It's a lot easier to just update a single AI's programming. Overall I use dual shortswords and 75 inferno and just fight him but to each their own.

It's not that the reaper is impossible to beat. It's just It's nearly impossible for a new character and most people don't want to go through all the grinding they had to do with their main character

But unless you have a Friend that can drop things to you, you're out of luck now. After playing the game and at the end game me personally I messed up by killing the light reaper early at fref or whatever the snow place is called which locked me out of a quest line and locked me out of the swords special attacks. So I started a new game because I haven't finished the game on my main character yet. But I wanted to level up as fast as I could so I could run through the game to get back to that point where I can do Isaac's quest and summon him at the light reapers final battle spot. And it's less of a headache with the eye of Marco the axe to progress through the game which already feels like a fun chore. How many farms has fromsoft and the great Miyazaki patched? Not many because they don't care as long as the players are having fun . It may not be intentional but it just makes the game that much better. And just because some like it better super hard going through the game cheese free with one character. Others like to create many characters and get through it as quickly as they can. And stopping to find those spirits that gives you 2 scuragings at a time take a lot of hours to find them all and if you want a specific boss weapon you won't be about to get it now until later while everyone else already has them. The reaper getting buffed doesn't change the damage already done. If they was going to make it this difficult they should have done it from launch and not put messages in the patch notes bragging about the reaper getting stronger and "we have been warned " it's like they themselves are mad we are cheeseing it. But if we are having fun what's the harm? You say because higher level players can invade lower level players. Yes they can but that's not our fault and how are the lower levels supposed to catch up with the multiplier vigor farms being shut down as soon as mr.red appears? It has the potential to be a great game . But if they don't have the budget to fix something then why put it in the game in the first place? To get more money from people wanting to play pvp? Well that's fine. But it's not fine if pvp is unplayable and you get one shotted by high level invaders. It needs a lot of work but until they get those fixed, the reaper should be at the bottom of the list

The eye the reaper dropped socket into the first lamp slot but you have to finish him off yourself with weapons. You kinda have no choice but to do it that way now but that's how you get it and all the small creatures in the umbral will be scared of you and rarely attack

That's the eye of Marco the axe you get from defeating the red reaper with a weapon or bow. Soceted into your first lantern slot and it gives you the red glow and makes smaller enemies in the umbral afraid of you and the hardly ever attack

I don't care about multiple endings or anything enough to replay the entire game except for getting the light reapers special attack. But I'm more pvp focused. And I am still waiting for the rubber banding to stop and level scaling fixes. I have Friends and know how to dupe but for the ones who don't. Those are going to be less players I get to invade because they don't want to deal will trying to kill the red reaper over and over at low levels to try and get the stuff they need. And things are really expensive in this game. I can either buy a couple things of ignite salts and ammunition pouches or level up 2 times. Lol they could at least left the way to farm vigor alone but if you are not skilled or leveled up to beat the red reaper then you are not going to find very good vigor farms unless you have a Friend to drop you all the skulls and items needed.

Every time there is a rune farm or soul farm in souls games 99% of the time they leave it alone. Because they know better . They don't care of people are exploiting a mob or whatever. But it's how some people level up new characters and get boss weapon without having to grind for them all over again. And some people are just not skilled enough to beat the reaper without healing. Like I said in the video I believe they have tethered the new attack to the character making it so where ever you are if the reaper can not reach you those swords pop out where your standing. I have actually seen the reaper in one place and the swords got me anyways like it was in two places at once. It is definitely a F-you To anyone attempting to cheese him. If I can find a spot where I'm on ground level with it but some how block him from getting to me that the cheese can still be done. But as of now I have not come across such a magical spot lol. And it even seems they can even match up to the original darksouls pvp at the moment. It's just terrible. Too terrible to play . For the ones who don't want to go into new game tho? Like me I have not even beaten the game yet I'm still at the very last part because of work and making videos and real life. But I'm still waiting on pvp to straighten up and I'm not trying to level more than 125 just in case. But afk farming with a new character is super easy and you can't start a new game plus with new characters. It would be nice tho to have a way to reset the area without going into new game plus. And not everyone is skilled enough to effectively farm the light reaper.

If developers decide to introduce balancing, they should provide us with means to get levels and items faster.

But even if it did I'm level 125 and if I can get invaded by a level 300 and higher and get one shotted.....what's the benefit of even trying? It's like they didn't even do any research as why pvp is so popular. They just threw it in the game because elden ring blew up and they wanted to try and get a payday for themselves. And they did. People gobbled this game up in order to pass the time until shadow of the erdtree 🤣 it's sad because this game could have been great too. The pve doesn't give you the same feeling as beating a souls boss and you can easily memorize their movesets. Buy the pvp is absolute trash and that's the main reason I bought the game is to have a different style of pvp that was souls like. But they have indeed dropped their balls on this one 😁

They’re going to do the minimum work for max value. As a business, I cannot blame them for that . But As an individual consumer who wants to “enjoy” the product for as long as possible, this creates a new strain…. I want my $ to get as much bang for buck while they want to spread their output efforts as minimally for the most profit. These 2 things cannot be satisfied simultaneously.
It’s a good game. I play it mostly now, solo offline. The “multiplayer” mindset of gaming has tarnished gaming in a way, to me, as much as it exploded gaming worldwide as it did. I’m that, we used to have all our friends over and share Pac man generation…. All Come together and all play off one kids system (that lucky mo fo!)…. Now it’s friends playing remotely. It is what it is I suppose. All things change.
It popularized it, made it more desirable and more profitable…. Yet the business took over and the gamer-mindset was pushed aside for those profits.
Hence patches that do nothing for the players, or game value.
Their minmaxing their efforts the way we do our characters…. We, are THEIR characters!!!!! Oh god… I’m stick in the matrix, I’m gonna go cry now!

Oh they added a new mystical gate that it's only purpose is to make the player stop to pass through with their lamp. It's like they are just f$cking with us at this point. But I agree and most people do too. The reaper isn't even an actual boss and they seem to buff it just to say F U to the player base. And that's exactly why it's at a all time low just 3 Months into launch smh 🤦♂️
@@mr.nobodyeldensouls i just started and never got to use the farm trick, literally the first time i seen the glitch on TH-cam i went to try it and i was already patched i was pissed farming sucks on this game ...i farm the spiked head dude on the belltower and he gives 495 of something like that this shit sucks i stopped playing it im back on darksouls

Gotta stay out of the umbral. It's a little overrated in my opinion just a bunch of faceless zombies and everything is different. It's cool at first but I could go through the entire game without it if I was given the choice

Yea it kinda funny the pvn the coop fights were fine before they started patching now it so slow n I can barely play decently with anyone on line seem like the patches mad game worse then better they don't even know how to fix the things they need to fix nnyet they only worry bout the reaper lol
That's the way it seems and exactly my point. I don't really care about the reaper myself I just know other people like to farm him. And if that's what they want to do in a broken game then let them! It's like here I know it's broken and we can't fix it but you can only play it how we wanted you to play it . And them buffing it is like saying Fuk you to all the fans who like farming it at low levels. I'd you are going to buff the reaper at least make sure pvp and Co op are on point. I paid money for the game because of pvp alone. And it's absolutely trash
@mr.nobodyeldensouls yea plus I farmed the reaper and I feel it only way to be decently lvled n get enough umbral scourings. Cause lvl wise it takes to long for game to be decent like ud have to lvl one or 2 stats specifically n that makes this game real bad elden ring even sekiro plays better lvl n progression wise otherwise this game it practically required to be lvl 200 to 300 to enjoy this game decently it way to broken plus red reaper farm wasn't breaking the game just enabling it to be played n enjoyed but they fucked up cause now I don't even play it as much n im lvl 180. N those eyeballs n coins are joke australia get 150 a pop we get 3 each time like wtf I can even by a color tint I want n I've been tryin to farm for hrs to get 75 to 100 of those. Even the glitch doesn't work anymore for that I'm frankly tired rather play spiderman or another rpg or armored core or even elden ring bein as dlc is coming soon

@@ml3888 SHADOW OF THE ERDTREE!!!! It's release date is Lords of the fallen death date 🤣 that's where I go to get my pvp fix. Right now I'm finishing up my wizard Hunter series where I use the erdtree Greatshield to shoot people's spells back at them. The last video will come out either today or tomorrow if you are interested. Oh and there is a spot after you fight the hallowed crow right beside the spot you fight the light reaper for the 3rd time where it kinda glitches out the red reaper and he won't spawn in or gets trapped. I did it by accident and then died to a butterfly. And then tried to recreate it but this time he spawned in so I did something different. I'll try to get it perfected and I'll make a video on it. It's just sad there's no early game areas to help people. I don't do farming that much but I love helping others players that do like to farm

These devs sure know how to get people that actually enjoyed their game to lose that love and piss right off.
I hope they come around eventually and make quality of life changes for those without as much time to spend locked into how they think we should pay their game, but I'm not holding my breath.
It is their game, and it is absolutely within their rights to gatekeep how we play it, but in my humble opinion, they have been making the wrong decisions around some of these changes and focusing on the wrong things. I know they have made thousands of changes and have been grinding out patches nonstop, but shit like being double sickle'd in your face even on a damn ladder, on top of the absolutely overdone trash mobs and the fact that areas like the Two Belfries (I think that's what it's called - with the 60+ enemies and dogs and ranged attack spam) exist, makes me sad to say, "It's a no for me, dog."
When you show someone that you don't value their time, it becomes a challenging sell when you then ask them to give you said time.
YES! I couldn't have said it better myself. Exactly my point. Some people don't get what is so important about this. It's not that the reaper is super hard now. It's just that was one way we could get items quickly and they take it away every time we find a way around it in a already broken game. If pvp was fixed and we had a storage chest it would make the game 70% better. But it's like they are so focused on making the game as hard as possible and uncheese-able that it's turning people away from the headache. The game is tedious and I can only play it for a couple hours at a time. But it's kinda fun. Like cleaning the yard in the middle of a bikini car wash 🤣 or fixing a roof while zip lining from house to house kinda fun.
Yea the red reaper is BS. They have made it impossible to play with you buddies and they go and clap patches for the already impossible boss. Need to figure out the correct

They made it too hard until end game. But even then it is still a challenge. What is the use of getting the eye to make life easier in the umbral if most can't get it until their player is maxed out and leveled up. I guess they want you to have it just for new game plus. But myself I don't play new game plus I just start new characters
