Thank you so much for including photos of other ethnicites. As someone with African heritage i've always been told that my hair was not feminine due to it being on the shorter side. As soon as you said hair I just assumed that that part wouldn't apply to me but as soon as I saw pictures of girls that looked more like me it really helped me to feel like I could be more feminine with my hair in its natural state. It means a lot to me. Keep up the good work!

I think that coily/curly hair even when short looks very feminine, it has a lot of softness and roundedness which is generally associated with femininity. And it can't be easily imitated, which just makes it even more beautiful imo.

@@frenchmarron Your right its not heritage, but hair that is tightly coiled is prone to breakage which leads to shorter hair... I'm african american and my hair is very curly, to retain length with this hair type you have to keep it extra moisturized and wash it not more then once or twice a week.
It is possible to have long coiled hair! It's just not super common because of all the TLC you have to put into retaining length.❤️

I LOVED dresses and skirts growing up and would constantly be asked, "Why are you so dressed up?" and I would say, "Why aren't you?". I used to think I lost my femininity when I was younger because I pursued work that was saturated with male presence. I thought that in order to be seen and be dominant, I had to shed my feminine side. I really believed that was the end of any femininity from me. But what I've learned is that feminine energy is energy - it cannot be destroyed. It only lay dormant in me, ready to be cultivated when the time was right. I'm slowly learning how to reintegrate femininity into my life thanks to videos like this. Good luck to us! :)

Height does not diminish or emphasize femininity. No one would mistake the Amazonian women for being men, but as far as I know they are all tall. Embrace your stature, be proud of it, and you will be a beautiful woman. Women that are shy about their height, hunched shoulders and such, are not very appealing. But a tall women with good posture and confidence in herself is striking. Like Mrs. Midwest said (about something else) it makes a person say "Wow! That's a woman!"
Do what makes you happy, but please don't be ashamed of yourself.

This is actually really helpful. I find myself dressing androgynous a lot because I'm too scared to look "girly". Where I live feminine attire is synonymous with being juvenile in some cases or high maintenance in other cases, and we're made to feel embraced or prissy for it. If there's such thing as internalised misogyny that third wave feminists talk about it's THAT. It's making females ashamed to be feminine. I'm a career pursuing independent educated woman (and proud of it) but I still strive to be feminine because I actually love it, it's who I am and I'll embrace it, rather than subdue it in the hopes I'll be taken more seriously if I look and act 'masculine'.

Yes! I stopped wearing pants for almost 3 years now. It also came along with my changing perspective leaning towards more femininity. I've been slowly transitioning into being more feminine and embracing being a woman. I've been wearing dresses/skirts/and shorts only and I've never felt so comfortable my whole life. I'm slowly exploring makeup and accessories now too. I can say I'm a late bloomer but it's working! 💝 I just want to say thank you for sharing your message that's it's ok being a woman and to work through our fears regarding femininity. I think this whole agenda of pushing women and young girls to be more masculine is traumatizing and would take much self-awareness to develop strong healthy femininity.

Thank you for this. For years, since I became a mom I have never felt comfortable in dresses in skirts. Idk why, but the more feminine clothes felt vulnerable and exposed and not strong somehow. But before that, in high school and college, I did enjoy dresses and skirts. Last fall I had a sudden. inspiration and purchased several dresses that I loved.. but then wouldn’t let myself wear them! Like it would be embarrassing somehow to be seen in a dress. Would be nice to be comfortable dressing more feminine again. 💕xo

One of my favorite topics!!! I spend years working in asset management as one of the few women and I always refused to dress like a man. I would wear hot pink skirt suits with high heels and flowey earrings to meetings, legally blonde style :P In the beginning you get looks and comments, later on it becomes your thing and people appreciate you for being you and bringing some elegance and softness to the workplace!

I definitely think accessories are a huge one. There are a lot of women who are less comfortable with the concept of showing off your figure through emphasizing waist etc (we aren’t all size 2 and comfortable). So for myself I do tend to dress in more drapes looks, like nice fitting jeans and a looser sweater or top. And I do like wearing black and grey a lot. But I love wearing fringe or hoop earrings, necklaces, bracelets, etc. Having my makeup done nicely and hair. So I feel like you allude to that’s kind of how I add in/take away by focusing on the area’s other than waist cinching and colours.

This is the best video I've ever seen on this subject. I'm a frumpy girl, aside from pants and tank tops I wear men's clothes. Anyone whose mentioned to me about dressing more ladylike it's always been revealing, tight, or overly vibrant recommendations. I loved your advice about easing into it and ways to incorporate that energy with accessory methods, sort of merging the styles together to find a healthy middle ground. I actually stumbled on your content via a critic of yours, and I'm in a way very grateful they covered you. You are so inclusive of all walks of life and very specific about offering your insight to those of us who're seeking this sort of perspective out, I love that you are true to your religious roots without it being the focal point of the subjects you cover, and that you don't include politics into any of your views. Thank you.

You might like the kibbe system of styling advice - it's based on underlying "yin/yang" balance of the body or; feminine/masculine, and you seem to have a natural eye for this.
And I will add another thank you for having a wide variety of representation in your images - I don't fall into the mainstream promoted ideal of beauty, and although you do have many elements of that ideal, you still included many others. Thank you. It makes it feel possible to be a part of this.

This is one of the best advice! When I was in college I like to experiment with my style a lot (feminime, casual, edgy, bohemian) and there is people commenting about it even one of my closest friend, they liked to make fun of me saying that I'm weird etc. but I don't care about what they say because at the end of the day, you only have yourself and it's best to be yourself. And after experimenting with my style, I really like to dress up feminime, when I wear feminime clothes that's when I feel prettier. I like to thank you for making this video, you're like the sister I never had! Love from Indonesia

I really appreciate how you support your views without shaming others. I grew up a tomboy and I was always pressured into wearing dresses and frilly things when I wasn't comfortable with doing so. It made me resent dressing and being feminine for many years. About 3 months ago, right before I turned 26, I started wearing dresses and heels for the first time and now I am hooked. I feel so much more confident when I wear heels and skirts/dresses. I work in a highly male-dominated STEM field and it makes me feel so powerful that I am doing what all the boys can do, while wearing heels. I dress feminine for myself, not anybody else!

I find your channel very refreshing, I stumbled across it recently and it has offered a fresh perspective. I also agree with a lot of things you say. I am in my 20s and at this stage more career focused however I love my job because I get to help people daily which makes me feel so fulfilled. I also am not someone who can stay at home all day, I enjoy the social interaction of being at work around my colleagues and having challenges/goals to smash. However, I also enjoy staying true to my feminine self and will take the time to read/bake/clean/spend time with family on weekends. When I do eventually have children I would like to go part time or work from home because then my main priority would be my family, so I think what matters most to someone depends on what stage they're at in life. I know of career orientated, successful women who worked crazy hours and then willingly became housewives as soon as they had children. But I am glad you are sharing this info and encouraging women to be true to what they really want out of life, we already have way too much emphasis on that girl boss culture.
