I think your hair texture also affects how much u wash it. My hair is curly and i cant wash it with shampoo more than once a week cause it drys it out and makes it frizzy. Since people with curly hair are more prone to dry/frizzyness vs oilyness
anna little You may want to check into the “No Poo Method”/the “Curly Girl Method.” I have thick, curly hair that’s prone to frizzing, and I haven’t touched shampoo in over a decade. Instead, you wash your hair with a tailored-to-you mixture of baking soda (drying, deep cleaning) and apple cider vinegar (moisturizing, cleansing). My hair is so naturally dry that I eventually had to eschew the baking soda altogether. Now, I wash my hair with water and ACV 1-2x per week, depending on weather and activities. Oh, and, it’s SO much cheaper, too! Not to mention no longer having to worry about which product ingredient is the new harmful no-no.
I was just about to comment the same thing. While we don’t wash our hair every day cuz it dries it out we still do work to keep it looking fresh. Personally I spritz it with some water and add leave in conditioner and gel every day.
anna little I wash my hair mostly everyday with mild shampoo/conditioner. My hair is stick straight and quite fine so dry shampoo only goes so far. I know it would be healthier by washing it less, but it looks unpolished/greasy without it. Thicker hair can get away with washing less, but thin hair hides nothing.
Daily work every single day to look more polished: 1. Use lint roller 2. Pay attention to back of your hair 3. Moisturised and nourished hair (wash hair more often) 4. Floss 5. Daily lip colour reapplied throughout the day (lighter pink, mauve) 6. Undergarments e.g. dress socks, pantyhose, slips 7. Wear a fragrance, smell clean 8. Simple earrings 9. Concealer for dark spots and acne 10. Lotion/oil on skin to prevent dry body skin
I love it But the lipstick and concealer for me is a big skip as I am not a fan of makeup And the fragrance is a big no no to the office, specially mornings, or places you are enclosed with other people. Just shower and good to go.
Kim Alonzo I did watch the video myself. It’s just a summary, I find that after I’ve watched a video I tend to forget what was said in the beginning. Each point makes more sense after watching the video though, it’s a brilliant video
As a hygienist, I would add to flossing also to brush your tongue. The germs and plaque on teeth can build up on tongue too and cause bad breath. It doesn’t look appealing at all 🙂
Ana Pimentel do you drink enough water? When I’m thirsty or even hungry I feel that my breath is not the best and it feels better after drinking water. Also, brush the teeth 3 times a day, after the main meals. It’s a social norm where I live
@@anyapi987 you can rinse your mouth with salt and water and eat mints after it .. do this daily at night it will make it muuuuch better also drink more water
Great tips. I am a 36 year old wife and mom of two. My mom taught me fo wear perfume and at least some mascara or lipstick each day. It makes you feel more put together and ready to face the day.
Unrelated: but I recently got into Marie Kondo and her folding technique and her approach to organizing I feel like is very refreshingly feminine. I know you said you didn't like folding laundry but I now use it as a time to express gratitude for my clothes and it's made it a lot more enjoyable!
I’ve been OBSESSED with decluttering, cleaning and laundry lately because of reading her book. I’ve been even gotten into using more natural cleaning and laundry products like white vinegar, soap nuts and dryer balls and have been enjoying just using them.
The Box Ghost white vinegar is the best for glass, mirrors & the front of appliances. I don’t mind the scent, but you can add essential oils if you do.
My tip for looking polished is investing in a hand-held steamer. They're affordable, and soooo much faster and easier to use than an iron...especially in a pinch😊
My trick with jewelry is to invest in a simple pair of studs and a necklace that go with everything I usually wear and which are made of real silver/ gold etc. and then I just don't take them off at all. I sleep and shower with them as well and because of the quality they won't tarnish or break. This is how I solved the problem of forgetting about jewelry or being too lazy to put some on.
Levendir1996 I love this tip, I think investing in quality classic jewelry rather than buying a ton of cheaper “statement” jewelry is so smart and makes you appreciate them more. I would always lose my jewelry but now I value them and it’s easier to keep track of less.
@@lavellans I'd be careful if it's only plated but if it's a thin solid necklace, it should be fine. I had a tiny gold cross necklace as a small child that I never took off and it's still in good condition.
I know this is an older comment but i would love to reply anyway, because I've worked in a crystal shop where we had a lot of silver and gold jewellery and this information may help u 🌹☀ basically gold will always look new and relatively polished no matter what you do with it, but you have to be much more careful with silver, even with the best quality, it's much more "soft" and sensitive. I would recommend not to shower in them and also make sure chemicals don't touch it, like perfume or creams. There are silver polishing clothes which make them clean and shiny again, and you can use one piece of these clothes for a looong time, so if you have silver jewellery, I would definitely suggest you to invest in one. ✨🤗 I hope it helped and also I apologize if I made any grammar mistakes, english is not my mother language!
I just want to add for people that struggle with weight, eat less carbs and sugar. You'll notice a difference within 2 weeks. Your shape will look more feminine. Not body shaming but we all can be much more healthier.
I thrive on a high carb ( *healthy carbs, not fries and chips* with no sugar except fruit ) diet with low fats and minimal animal foods, there’s no one size fits all diet.
My shape gets great when I eat "clean" and avoid flour based baked goods (bread, cookies, donuts etc) - but would have a ton of healthy carbs - like quinoa.... with a good amount of fats and protein. If there's not enough protein and fat I get hungry quick :) So as a writer above said - not one size fits all... :)))) it can get easy to cheat on the healthy eating though hahaha
I always make sure I have a coat of clear on my nails, it makes them shine naturally and it's not so noticeable when the polish starts to chip off. I get a lot of complements and it makes me feel more put together!
I'm wearing tights and a tee shirt because I was rushing this morning to class. This video was an attack. 😆 I would also suggest swishing coconut oil in the mouth before brushing. The lauric acid helps to reduce dental problems like plaque...
1. Use a lint roller (remember to get the back of your clothes) 2. Do the back of your hair 3. Make the ends of your hair nourished + (bonus: wash your hair more often) 4. Floss 5. Have a daily lip colour to re-apply throughout the day (lighter pink or berry) 6. Smoothing underwear 7. Wear a fragrance (smell clean) 8. Put on earrings everyday (simple) 9. Wear concealer 10. Wear lotion year-round. (especially heels, elbows, knees)
I cannot WAIT to get married and become a homemaker! Your videos literally make me smile while I’m watching them and almost get giddy just thinking of taking care of a household and a husband(and Lord willing children😍)
If you want to step up your moisturizing routine: 1) Exfoliate your body at least two times a week. This makes your skin noticably softer, and absorb products better. 2) Invest in a good body wash or soap. It doesn't have to be expensive. Look for words like "gentle" or "moisturizing" for softer skin. 3) Apply your products directly after bathing and patting your body so it's not soaking wet. Do not dry completely off. 4) I like to double moisturize. Apply a small amount of body oil or butter, then go over it with a body lotion.
With earrings, I have worn the same pair for 6 years - I bought beautiful silver cultured pearl drop earrings when I was 4 days over due with my second son. I was so done with being pregnant and feeling glum so I treated myself. I have loved them every day since.
I wash my thick, waist-length hair once a week. What keeps it looking polished is - yes, dry-shampoo every night plays a part LOL - BUT I also French braid it before bed which gives me fresh, pretty, and neat waves every morning without having to do any styling beyond that. Groomed eyebrows, eyelash extensions, and a simple tinted moisturizer (Avene) and a nice pink-tinted lipgloss keep me looking more polished on the days I don't wear makeup.
@@ellylilly8836 I wouldn't unless it's those dry ones like Charlotte Tilbury makes or you're extremely good at sleeping on your back without moving around
I really love your contents, I feel like now a days so many women are very much comfortable with being casual and masculine where you promote to enhance our femininity and I love that so much. I have started to put more effort while dressing up now, Thanks to your channel, sorry for the poor english but I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart to creat this world of femininity
I love doing this! I will just put my hair off to one side and braid it and be good. Or I will do a little clip or a bun and even though my hair is dirty its still really nice
Yes! Just what I needed on my commute home from doing volunteer ministry work in Washington DC! I love just being able to pop my headphones in and tune the world out and listen to Mrs. Midwest!
Actually most frequent recommendation for hair washing I found is to wash your hair less frequent, ideally once a week. Frequent hair washing removes your natural oil layer and your scalp greases faster. I am aware that not everyone can afford to not wash their hair for 7 days, but the smallest distance should be 3 days. And deep conditioning with oils (olive, coconut or argan) 30 min before washing helps to protect your hair from the oil stripping shampoo and makes it softer. But I get what you wanted to say, that washing hair is better than dry shampooing :).
@@elizabethanne8729 there's a transition period where your hair had to readjust to infrequent washing. Your scalp is so used to being washed frequently and stripped of its oils that it mass produces them. So if you wanted to was less often you'd have to take it a day at a time-- start by waiting 3 days, then 4, then 5 over a span of say a year. I don't think you need to go a week, but every 3 or 4 days is good.
I have been trying for years now to make it to ones a week or something like that, but it doesn’t work like that for all people. My hair needs to be washed at least two times a week, every third day or forth day. It really depends on the person and not everyone can do it once a week, I know that now haha. Dry shampoo can clog your pores, which isn’t good for your hair either, so it’s probably better to wash it more often than to go around using dry shampoo because it’s going to make your hair dry in the long run. One thing I like to do is to use more of a natural, weak shampoo one time then a real shampoo next time I wash my hair! It’s much easier on your hair!
I’ve tried the washing once a week for years my hair always felt flat dirty and greasy which made me feel really unpolished... so I started washing it twice a week and that made a big difference for me... I think people need to find what works for them... I do think everyday is to much but some people need more than once a week people are getting ridiculous now I heard a girl saying she washes twice a month 🤮
I have African hair so washing my hair more than once a week is not really an option for me, unless I'm doing a treatment or mask that needs rinsing :)
Ain't nobody got time to wash curly hair very often. Lol. But I must say, from the moment I start to get build up of product on them strands, I cleanse my hair.
Totally agree with the earrings, I feel naked without them! I keep a spare of cheap simple gold hoops in my bag (and I hook them together so I can find them easily) so even if I rush out of the house without putting on a pair, I have a back up!!
Just a reminder for perfume a person should have to invade your personal bubble to smell it. If I can smell it standing across from you or you can still smell it or its in the elevator you are wearing too much. Also keep in mind those with scent sensitivities.
kayla G YES! My husband has asthma and he has so much trouble when people dowse themselves in cologne or perfume and are next to him at work or in crowded spaces 😞 My grandma once told me to correctly wear perfume, do one drop on your finger and put behind both ears.
Alex Lynn I also have severe scent sensitivity. My throat closes and I get itchy I start turning red. I have been sent home because of coworkers or members of the public. It’s not just perfume it’s lotions as well. Also not to mention the toxins in perfume and lotions. I suggest all natural products.
kayla G I agree, less is more with perfume/ fragrance! It is so much more intoxicating to notice someone’s fragrance when leaning in to give them a hug rather than just being in the same room with them. Scent is such a personal thing, and so many people do have sensitivities. There is nothing worse than smelling a mans (or woman’s) overpowering cologne before they even get within 4 feet of you.... and it smells horrid to you. We all know that musky kind of like old lady smelling perfume... ick. Or a guy who seems like he bathed in it in order to try and like, pick up chicks or something.... maybe he didn’t intend to appear that way, but it kinda gives off that impression 🤷🏼♀️ yeesh. I have definitely been guilty of over doing it with perfume. I just love it. My favorite signature scent for winter time is Lancôme la vie est belle. It is such a rich beautiful scent and lasts a really long time. But I have to be careful with it. So the way I apply it is spraying 1-2 sprays into the air, and then walking through it. That way it’s just enough 😉
For the last year or so I’ve been washing my hair less and dry shampooing more because everyone keeps saying it’s the way to keep your hair healthy. I’m more recently determining that that’s not true. My hair looks much healthier when it’s washed more frequently. Thanks for validating that for me 😂
Hi love. Just wanted to say - I am not female, or a 'feminine sister'. I am an androgynous gay male who dresses and lives life in a very feminine way (although I am not trans and do not take hormones or anything like that)... and I love your channel. I know you have more traditional values (which I completely respect, by the way) and that in your view therefore I may seem a bit unpalatable/unconventional and nothing at all like you or your feminine sisters. However, I wanted to say - as a feminine gay man who is naturally very "ladylike" in a sense due to my personal styling choices (natural haircare, nourishing skincare routine, classy makeup etc) I see a lot of parallels in our lives. I'm a perfectionist at heart and I am slightly obsessed with cleaning my house and presenting things in a very organised fashion. When I'm choosing my outfits, I try to keep it feminine and polished and put together, without trying too hard. I realised after watching a few of your videos that I already do a lot of the tips you've provided as it's just naturally my way of being, which I thought was pretty cool. Although we are essentially very different (gay androgynous male -v- biological feminine woman), it's funny to see how similar our lives are. The only thing I would disagree with you on is that 'androgyny' is not particularly feminine or classy. Androgyny is sometimes the complete opposite in fact of casual baggy clothes and ugly tracksuits. As an androgynous person myself, androgyny actually has the effect of enhancing everything feminine about myself. And I don't feel that this just applies to me as a feminine-looking male. When Celine Dion, for example, wears a full suit with squared-off padded shoulders and a pair of power bitch high heels she looks fierce and feminine in equal measure. It's edgy, yes, but Candice Swanepoel in a studded leather jacket is still extremely feminine and lady-like - albeit in a more rock'n roll type of way. When I see Rosie Huntington Whiteley wearing a pair of black jeans and a boyfriend blazer, she is still the epitome of being feminine (and naturally so). Just as I'm sure if you yourself wore a shirt and baggy jeans and an oversized "mens" watch on your channel you would still look and exhibit extremely ladylike, feminine vibes (however masculine each of those items may appear on their own). You would remain stunning and feminine because you are greater than the sum of your parts or the things that you wear. Just a thought from someone who is perhaps not your typical target audience member. Also, "feminine family"... this is EVERYTHING. It makes me feel like I, too, am welcome to enjoy your content instead of just your more 'feminine sisters'. You have a beautiful soul and I am so glad to have discovered your very classy, elegant mindset. Wishing you every kindness, Love, Mattie xx
Hey! I love your channel and you are such a great roll model to women young and old. I have learned so much from your channel! Thanks so much and God bless you!
Hey Mrs. Midwest, could you do a video on Christian feminity for woman in leadership positions? Do you have any advice on being feminine for women who want to be/are leaders?
I’ve gotten into tucking shirts into skirts more. And I actually invested in those “body suit” shirts that look like leotards. They are a HUGE game changer.
Something I would have told my younger self about my appearance is to not give up and research when things got tough. I had no one to teach me and I gave up on learning how to paint my nails and braid my hair in middle school when it was socially acceptable to be bad at those thing and deferred to the, well I'm just a tomgirl that's why. Now I'm sitting there practicing my braids before bed and researching what kind of shampoo I need.
Omg I'm terrible with braids I can do all esthetics but hair. Luckily I was blessed with hair that looks decent on it's own most of the time but it's still something I need to work on as an adult
I started to use baby shampoo for my hair and now I wash my hair once a week because it doesnt go greasy... And before washing it I apply almond oil with vitamin E and leave it for hour or two or over night and my hair is so happy 😊🤩
Earrings were a big game changer for me! I work in a barn as a therapeutic riding instructor and it’s been quite a process from changing my look from “barn swamp monster” to a little more thought-a long jacket that keeps me warm but is in fashion, little pearls to wear with my hat and just throwing some quick makeup on!
A great & budget -friendly hair smoother is John Frieda’s “Secret Weapon”...about $5-6. Use it on towel-dried or dry hair to tame frizziest, add shine (not greasy!) & smooth ends/flyaways. A tube lasts forever! Only need a tiny bit.
Love you and your videos! As far as the hair washing tip, I have similar hair to yours and I've found that the less I wash my hair, the healthier it gets. I only wash it 1 or 2 times a week and it helps my natural oils do their job. The first few weeks you try it can be a little rough and greasy, but once you get past that it is amazing and so healthy for your hair!
Interesting question! But I think the answer isn't universal, since perfumes change their scent according to the oils on your skin. We all have our natural smells, and sometimes some fragrances don't sit well with us
My quick way to looking better: Hair either curled at the ends or up in a smooth ponytail, nice & clean clothes, for make up just some blush & highlighter & a little perfume. Done.
If you also suffer from seasonal affective disorder (winterdepressie), be sure to get out to during sunlight hours despite the cold. Maybe even use special lamps if it gets too bad. Wear a nice scarf and put perfume on your scarf (I really love it when my scarf has some sort of comforting scent).
I started washing my hair more often a while ago because I have that horrible cowlick in the back of my head that you described 😩. I found that coating my length in an inexpensive, lightweight conditioner BEFORE I go in with shampoo and conditioner is an absolute game changer for my hair and the need to wash it more often. My hair has been so much happier, my scalp is more normal and all my very fine, thin waves and curls are bouncier and a lot less frizzy.
@@cristinap273 Mine too. If it's possible for you take a bath at least once a week with your favourite (natural) oil. My skin is very sensitive and can't handle most lotions, so I decided to use oil but not directly on my skin because that would be to greasy for me. I mostly use argan oil or coconut oil. It works really wel and it doesn't make you feel greasy as you are soaking your body in it, instead of applying directly.
I wanted to laugh when you talked about those ashy feet. Omg. Women and those dry feet...the nerve to wear sandals! That’s confidence that I DO NOT have 😂 These were some great tips! TFS!
I'm happy to see that you referred wearing fragrance ! It really boosts self-confidence. It would be also great to make a video with your fragrance collection :)
Hey girl, I'm still a teenager (18) and probably less traditional than most of your viewers, but I really love your channel. I'm glad you're not the type of femininity creator who always says: "Do this because men like it that way" but rather "if you wanna look more put together, do this".
Really love how kind you come across, you are a joy to watch and listen to! Wish your videos were around when I was in my teen years, you are such a positive role model.
@@azzaboumariem4974 I wasn't referring to her/him only. Several people commented that they can't wash their hair often, but some people can get away with fewer washings because of their type of hair and it still looks good.
Very useful tips. There things in addition to helping you look more polished also make you feel more alive and confident. Thanks for sharing your tips . They help a lot
I have extremely fine and straight hair and I need to wash it everyday, otherwise it would get terribly oily just the next day. I agree with you on washing your hair more often. All other tips are so helpful as well! Thanks Caitlyn ❤️
This seriously changed my hair game by the way: By finding a good shampoo and conditioner for a decent price at Walmart that suits my hair and texture worked amazing in my hair. I also was telling my mom that my ends were super dry and just gross in general and she told me, "Are you conditioning your ends?" Obviously I wasn't or I wasn't doing it properly, so in the shower while you're conditioning your hair make sure to scrunch your hair up with conditioner in the palms of your hands getting the ends and what not (I also didn't have to cut off my ends, even though they were so dry and crusty I didn't have to because I kept doing this and eventually it became a soft texture). I have a friend with lots of fine curly hair and she told me by scrunching her hair up with conditioner it makes her hair more curly and by slightly conditioning the top of your head your hair will be a little less frizzy when you come out of the shower. I have thick long dark wavy hair and it's more of a dry texture, so conditioner is very important to me.
I literally love your tips. It is so true! Simple, consistent and thoughtful suggestions. I use Revlon Colorstay lipsticks. If applied to a clean, dry lip, the color will last about 12 hrs. I put it on before work and it stays on perfectly all day. They aren’t sticky or caking. I also have to say staying at your ideal body weight by eating a healthy diet and exercising goes about a million miles towards looking and feeling your best.
Yes you are right, but its also nice that its a choice to be polished in our days. I love to be polished but only if I want to. Women that were mobbing other women because they did not want to be super polished all the time were a thing back in the day.
I dont know if you'll see this but i just want to say I found your chanell by watching mr. atheist. I realised that I completly agree with everything you say. I am 19, not really religious and I love love your videos. Your tips are great I have beet trying to be more polished so thank you so much. Much love, sorry for my english ❤
I’m not allowed to wear polish because I work in healthcare. You can still look polished without polish! It’s all about keeping your nails clean, filed into a nice shape, and cuticles pushed back.
No chipped polish! If you can’t keep it up ( and I can’t) just keep them trimmed to a reasonable length and shaped. No dirt, snaggels, or chipped polish !
Okay, Cait, sincere question...how often are you washing your hair?! I can't help but recall the video in which you admitted to having Day 3 or 4 red sea-parting hair?😘
Love this!!! I have used oil of different kinds as lotion and I love it. I should try argan oil on my hair, it gets dry so fast amd I have not found anything that works all that well.
I take a bath with argan oil (or sometimes coconut oil) at least once a week, it is really smoothing. I also do soak my hair in it and I find it really helps with dryness. Though I've never applied it directly to my hair yet.
So I heard about fragrance in this video. As a perfume lover, I can't help asking what are your favorite feminine perfumes? Myself I am a huge fan of resinous, dark and spicy fragrances, sadly pricey and hard to find ones mostly, but I noticed whenever men capture the aroma and figure it's mine, they try to stay distant 😁 can it be that I scare them off with the choice of my perfumes? Greetings from UA!
Try putting the perfume lightly on your skin under yout clothes and none on your clothing. I learned someone should only smell your perfume if you're close enough to touch them.
The only tip I'm not into is concealer. I really feel it's not necessary for everyday life, we need to see more real skin in the everyday, but definitely for more spec day, Like a day out with friends, or a job interview, or when invited somewhere. I do wear lipstick and even eye makeup but I really found letting my skin be on the daily works the best 🤗🤗💕💕💕💕
Yes to flossing and moisturizing! And yes to embracing your NATURAL hair. Trying to fight it often looks messy unless you put loads of time into styling. Curly haired people often can't wash their hair everyday, but I really have to at least every other day. My hair is straight, fine, long and dark. Dry shampoo at it's best still makes my hair look dull. Freshly washed with a tidy part is always best. Earrings and perfume everyday!
Love watching your video, you give me the reminders that's its always worth making time to be girly, because of my line of work, is out side, moving cut Trees, with my husband, an on the side I help my father with his construction jobs, I use to take so much time of self care when I was in high school, but now I gotta work hard for them dreams, Love your videos you give me inspiration:)
(Tonia here) I'd like to share one more tip that I use often and is a great way to quickly/cheaply amp up your look - wear clear nail polish. Whether nails are long or short and whether we're dressed up or more casual, clear shiny nails look very neat and put together. Most clear coats also dry very fast, so if you're running late for a date you can have nice-looking nails in a minute or two, and if it chips but you don't have time to remove it immediately nobody will notice
The tip on putting skin lotion on the hands during the summer months is a great tip! I usually just use lotion during the winter months because that's when my hands feel the most dry in the cold weather. I'll try using lotion during the summer months to see if that makes a difference with my skin.
Since I've started following your channel, I've been trying to wear a subtle lip color to work where I never would before. I've really fallen in love with the Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Stick! As far as moisturizing my face goes, Cerave Moisturizing Cream is perfect for my acne-prone skin while also staying protected from Minnesota (and originally Michigan) cold!
Yes looking more polish is sooo elegant. I try to Always use the feminine tips from you they are so important and we as women need to stay clean always ☺️☺️☺️❤️❤️ thank you so much for the tips beautiful.
Dry shampoo? Lol! I only use for early morning gym workouts as to not look so unfortunate. Great advice all around! Wish I knew all of this when I was younger:)
I have noticed that manicured nails are an overlooked detail that really ties into looking polished- pun not intended. I'm not talking fake nails or a French manicure or anything; but trimmed, clean nails and cuticles with a sheer pink or clear coat of polish to even out the tone and shine. It really makes a huge difference. Simple and clean wins over loud and gaudy every time.
Could you please do a video where you show your lipsticks? I have the same color pallet as you, and Ive never worn anything but lip balm and I have zero idea what lipsticks would look good.
Off topic of the video but I'll just say. I'm very different in my current lifestyle, religion (personally I wasn't raised with religion) and career goals. However, your lifestyle is amazing and your videos are so comforting to me. Anyone can benefit from embracing feminity and home maker efforts. Right now I'm long term backpacking, currently in Indonesia and watching your videos makes me feel really grounded especially when I feel homesick or need structure. Thank you for your never ending light! ♥️
I can not wash my hair more than once a week or it'll be so dry. It takes so much to just moisturize it even a little so I avoid shampooing my hair for a week and use a bristle brush that pushes the oils down my hair shaft. It's a pain sometimes but I want longer hair so I'll continue to grow it out. 😁😁 And my lips are naturally very pink so I've been blessed with only having to use chap stick and lip gloss. And I really appreciate Aphrodite for making me this way. Since she is the goddess of beauty after all. ❤❤❤
I thought I had this video on 1.5 speed :D the excitement this topic brings you is noticeable .. :P I love these kind of videos, you motivate me so much
I’m curious as to what your opinion is on whether skipping a bra altogether is unladylike/unpolished? Obviously it’s not option for some ladies but personally, I don’t need the extra support and outside of professional or other culturally conservative settings, I don’t find it inappropriate or vulgar to not wear one. Love your videos, thank you for so eloquently encouraging women to be the best version of themselves!
I think your hair texture also affects how much u wash it. My hair is curly and i cant wash it with shampoo more than once a week cause it drys it out and makes it frizzy. Since people with curly hair are more prone to dry/frizzyness vs oilyness
Yes I absolutely agree! Factor in your hair texture, curl pattern, etc. Healthy hair is the goal! 💞💛

As a hygienist, I would add to flossing also to brush your tongue. The germs and plaque on teeth can build up on tongue too and cause bad breath. It doesn’t look appealing at all 🙂

Oh my! I used to think I was the only one who enjoyed folding laundry and smelling them as I did. It's therapeutic.
I love it too! I use it for everything
the beauty of a wonderfully folded drawer is amazing :) I love folding washing and putting it away neatly!
@Housewife Diaries I've never owned an iron in my adult life!🤷🤐🤣
Thanks for the tip.
So much better than an iron!!! I have one :)
@@EdgyIntellect Right??🙂
My trick with jewelry is to invest in a simple pair of studs and a necklace that go with everything I usually wear and which are made of real silver/ gold etc. and then I just don't take them off at all.
Can you shower with silver/gold jewelry? I always take mine off regardless just bc I want to clean my ears and it might make lines on my skin.
I think our grandmas and mums do it like this and they are right!
I just want to add for people that struggle with weight, eat less carbs and sugar. You'll notice a difference within 2 weeks. Your shape will look more feminine. Not body shaming but we all can be much more healthier.
@@anitaatina9902 carbs turn into sugar in the body
I thrive on a high carb ( *healthy carbs, not fries and chips* with no sugar except fruit ) diet with low fats and minimal animal foods, there’s no one size fits all diet.
I've been stress eating this week, I wonder why! Good reminder, I'll try to at least eliminate the sugar and carbs
@@alex.and.babies I never said there is a one size diet. You might thrive off high carbs but in the long run you will be insulin resistant.
I would also suggest swishing coconut oil in the mouth before brushing. The lauric acid helps to reduce dental problems like plaque...

If you want to step up your moisturizing routine:
1) Exfoliate your body at least two times a week.
Yoya Bear pearls are beautiful and will never go out of style!
Can you wear a sleeping face mask with eyelash extensions? :)
@@ellylilly8836 I wouldn't unless it's those dry ones like Charlotte Tilbury makes or you're extremely good at sleeping on your back without moving around

Sanja Erceg I can get away with 2 days max😂 After that not even dry shampoo will save me😭
@@elizabethanne8729 there's a transition period where your hair had to readjust to infrequent washing.
My hair need about 5 times the amount of shampoo I use as conditioner. Condiotioner at least 2x a week, shampoo maybe 1x
You look so polished in this video. You look like Amanda Seyfried inthumbnail !! Thanks for tips. ❤️💕💕
I have African hair so washing my hair more than once a week is not really an option for me, unless I'm doing a treatment or mask that needs rinsing :)
• yes this is a good comment! Wash according to your hair type! 🥰🥳

Totally agree with the earrings, I feel naked without them! I keep a spare of cheap simple gold hoops in my bag (and I hook them together so I can find them easily) so even if I rush out of the house without putting on a pair, I have a back up!!
I realized all this is about self discipline and self love to polish ourselves. Nothing beats self love, and that will bring out the best side of us.
Wow! I'm alway floored by your inclusiveness, I really appreciate it.
Just a reminder for perfume a person should have to invade your personal bubble to smell it. If I can smell it standing across from you or you can still smell it or its in the elevator you are wearing too much. Also keep in mind those with scent sensitivities.
kayla G
YES! My husband has asthma and he has so much trouble when people dowse themselves in cologne or perfume and are next to him at work or in crowded spaces 😞
My grandma once told me to correctly wear perfume, do one drop on your finger and put behind both ears.
You are supposed to put it on lightly and some people bath in the stuff.
Yes thank you for this comment! Less is more
For the last year or so I’ve been washing my hair less and dry shampooing more because everyone keeps saying it’s the way to keep your hair healthy.
Wishing you every kindness,

Mrs. Midwest, we’re all dying to know: what is your signature scent? What are the most polished fragrances a ~lady~ can wear?
Interesting question! But I think the answer isn't universal, since perfumes change their scent according to the oils on your skin. We all have our natural smells, and sometimes some fragrances don't sit well with us

@ttfr thanks a lot for this tip! ♥️ Definitely trying it the next time I wash my hair! ☺️
I like what you said about undergarment.
and the lip color I actually cant go my day without it!
This seriously changed my hair game by the way:
By finding a good shampoo and conditioner for a decent price at Walmart that suits my hair and texture worked amazing in my hair.
It is things like this that mother’s would teach their daughter, now maintaining beauty does not line up with the current feminist narrative.

I love all your tips! It would be amazing to see all them written out for those who are more visual. Or even a book!

I love your videos! Please keep making more about style and how to look put together. Btw I love your hair too!
The tip on putting skin lotion on the hands during the summer months is a great tip! I usually just use lotion during the winter months because that's when my hands feel the most dry in the cold weather. I'll try using lotion during the summer months to see if that makes a difference with my skin.
I need that lipstick brand you have on! We have the same skin tone and that looks amazing on you!!!
I am so addicted to your content it's crazy 😅😂 yay to another video ! 😁
I love how this comment section is so helpful and everyone added tips 🥰✨
Hi Caitlyn!!
The " greasy hairy parting of the red sea" made me laugh so hard ! Thanks Caitlyn
I love your top! From what I've seen you have some lovely clothes; I would really enjoy look books from you!
Could you please do a video where you show your lipsticks? I have the same color pallet as you, and Ive never worn anything but lip balm and I have zero idea what lipsticks would look good.
PLEASE POST A MAKEUP TUTORIAL! Your makeup always looks so gooddddd
I’m taking a homework break to watch, I love your videos so much!! 🤍🤍
What shampoo and products do you use? You have such healthy hair.
Could you do a more detailed video on the different undergarments?
Pleeease make a perfume collection or any other kind of video related to fragrances 😍😍 love you videos
And my lips are naturally very pink so I've been blessed with only having to use chap stick and lip gloss. And I really appreciate Aphrodite for making me this way. Since she is the goddess of beauty after all. ❤❤❤
I thought I had this video on 1.5 speed :D the excitement this topic brings you is noticeable .. :P I love these kind of videos, you motivate me so much
Wonderful tips! Love your delivery. Hugs from New York!
It depends on the environment. The beach is fine but the office no.
