The little Japanese lady yelling at you was their pre-paid toll device. There should have been a card slot on the bottom of the dash. It’s basically asking you to insert you toll card when you turn it on. I lived in Okinawa, Japan for 3 years and I had one. I miss the little Japanese lady. Whenever someone would mix up the turn signal and the wipers it was called the Okinawa wave.
