I own an FL5 Type R but also really like the ITS, but I am not a fan of the “tacked on” rear fender flares. I wish they had integrated into the design as they did with the CTR.
With respect, i do understand why the base and A-Spec Integra exist. They've had an LS and GS models before, and this is the equivalent. Mot to mention, they do sell well. That said, I'm getting my Integra Type S in the spring. Great review!
If I were to buy an Integra Type S, I would have to get it in Tiger Eye, which is also the launch color of the other 4-door Type S models (TLX Type S and MDX Type S), since I think the NSX Type S launched in Liquid Carbon or a similar color. Also, for clarification as to what the Integra Type S is meant for compared to the Type R is that the Type S is meant to be more of a street performer rather than a track car. This is why the Type R has the rear wing and looks like the crazy younger sibling. Although, the Type S is probably really good on the track as well. Think of it as the new Zenvo Aurora Agil and Tur. The Agil is the more track-oriented car, while the Tur has a more slippery design and is more comfortable.
It is as good as the civic in the track. Throttle House clocked the same time of the CTR to the decimals. Think of it as a CTR in a suite. Mechanically, they are twins.
Actually, the integra A spec is not a bad driving car, and it's world's better than the ILX. Couple of gripes with the ITS, not a deal breaker but just personal preferences, the passenger seat should also be power and the driver seat should have a memory button like the A spec. Maybe in the future they'll do so...
I live in Michigan, and modern FWD with ESC and ABS does perfectly fine with snow tires. Plus this car has LSD which is probably the biggest factor on why you said it almost feels like AWD. I've never owned an AWD vehicle and I've always wanted one, but I think this car should do fine in the snow. Although, I would actually change the dimensions of the wheel. For example; my 2015 Civic Si comes with 225/40 R18 tires and for Winter I switch to 205/55 R16 tires. It makes a huge difference and the speedometer is accurate.
I have an idea 4 u!!!!!!! How about a modern take on the saleen Sr widebody mustang. The unicorn of newedge mustangs with today's mustang. Plz and thnkz.
Great looking car but I'm a sunroof guy & if my 21 TLX Type S didn't have one I wouldn't have bought it so for me it's a deal breaker, they should've at least made it optional
Was trying to buy one, but the price is hard to justify. Not 52k anywhere, more around 60k+ after all cost plus the low gas mileage, means lot more. Beautiful car, but Tesla model y new for 42k after tax credit and faster.
@@Marbind Exactly. I originally wanted the Type-R but the dealer demanded a $15,000 markup, whereas the Acura dealer agreed to MSRP. I'm glad because I'm not a fan of the wing.
@@mikemccormick6128 the artificially inflated value of the CTR will soon come down to reality after people realize you can get the ITS for less than a CTR or a couple of thousands more. Will force honda dealers to cut down markups drastically. That will cascade into the CTR value. Unless acura manages to sell with markups too and every current owner wins.

The fender flares make it look like a Dodge and is no way this car look better than the FL5 also the fl5 is assembled in japan not usA like the acura integra type s
I need it in Acura's limited edition orange. I doubt it'll be an option but the orange they used a couple years ago was so beautiful.
Wait for the PMC Version
@rahimi4762 Oh yeah the PMC editions, I couldn't remember the name of the model trim for that color. Thank you friend
I added it to my car list. amazing car 😍

The fenders reminds me of the FK8 fenders haha but I do like the way it was done here on the ITS
@@CesarMartinez-gl9ko I also think it looks better on the ITS, but I detest that the way that little piece tacked on the door looks...
i like the fenders. most people do. but some people just have poor taste.
I actually like the tacked on fenders but should have been on the CTR and the larger smooth fenders on the ITS.
Appreciate that my feedback was listened

Great review!
The original Integra was a pretty tame, “lazy” car. I had a 1994 4-door model. It was an extra excellent Accord, nothing more.
I own an FL5 but also really like the ITS. Can't go wrong with either one.

Yeah this car looks great in all colors but my favorite is Tiger eye & blue

Damn she’s so beautiful!!! Especially that paint. And if u compared it side to side with the type r championship white it’s more bright white than it.

I cant get over the HUGE missmatch of the front fender to the bumper.
I dont know if its because of the color or its actually a quality problem
🤡
Needs that sunroof option.
Blacked out or carbon roof would look.nive as well.

not having the initial Integra is a mistake. it's been their highest selling car all quarters since it was released.
Thanks for thr great video! Where did you get the drawing at 2:29? Is that your illustration or did you find online? Thanks!

Why is 4 door and not 2? Why not having the sportiness that 2 door gives?
Doesn’t need to. It rips the track the same way as the CTR.
I would buy the FL5 over this. But it's not bad... could be better in terms of looks
I said the same until in reality it can be found cheaper than the avg FL5.
I talk by experience.
It's better in terms of daily use and not to mention that it's a little quicker as well.

Looks like a Falcon. Nice acura
Make redraw of 5th gen Honda Prelude
The markups from dealers are killing the type s.

50k is odee
Apart from maybe Mitsubishi or Subaru of today, no car company manages to disappoint me a thoroughly and consistently as Honda does.
Why
Pricing, drivetrain and design. It looks nothing like what I expected an Integra to look
What do you expect? Maybe should be two door but 90's are long gone in terms of graphic design

AVOID ACURA OF TROY
Still doesn't look too Integra, looks more like the rest of their lineup.
🤡
iits nothing special its a copy of a type r in a integra body imo
Crappy cheap looking seats.
You're getting soft. The iPad on the dash is still a terrible design cop out.
