Paying MSRP for a luxurious, well equipped and well optioned Acura makes so much more sense than paying $10,000 over MSRP for a Civic Type R. I love the Civic Type R but it doesnt make sense to pay huge markups when you can pay sticker and get a more luxurious car with the same drivability!
It pisses me off that (affordable) three doors are dying. Congrats on the purchase. We don't have Acura in Europe and I had briefly considered getting a Type R before i got my Kona, but the price difference was ridiculous. My Kona was 36k Euro (40k $) now...a '23 Type R starts at about SIXTY THREE thousand (Close to 70 THOUSAND DOLLARS), it's nearly DOUBLE. I mean...holy shit. Yes, I am the first to say the Civic has nicer interior materials, and has a crisp manual, great handling BUT DOUBLE? No. Fucking. Way. Then for me, I moved from a 15 year old Ford Focus with 115 hp, to a new Kona with almost 300 hp, so it was still a light year jump for me. I am totally happy with it. But fuck, why can't we have a Civic, Integra (or a Coralla, Focus..etcpp) with three doors anymore? I know Hatchbacks and small sporty sedans are supposed to be the allrounders. But seriously how many GTI, N, Type S/R or GR buyers are in the bracket of "I just want a fast small-ish car and I can't afford a 911 GT3"-category? It sucks. Sorry. Rant over. Drive your Integra in good health, and despite having come for Kona content, I'm gonna stay for Integra videos.
Congrats! I hope you were able to take it home. Some dealers have a holding of the car of 30 days from June 19. A little carbon fiber on the side mirrors and the deck spoiler with that color
Looks great! Glad they brought a 6MT to the type S trims. Would love it if the TLX had one. Also, sunny side is great. I will likely be getting a new car there soon
Could not agree more RD4809. The manual gives the car life, and in the TLX Type S would’ve made folks overlook its faults. Sunnyside is the best dealer I’ve ever worked with and look forward to making a video on the whole process
Just got mine a couple weeks ago and I noticed something just a few days ago, I drove one night with windows down and I noticed a very annoying “ringing” sound when I take my foot off the pedal, like accelerate then release, there is this sound that you can hear it so obviously and the sound gets louder when you are driving faster. I don’t think this is the blow off valve as this sounds like a ringing sound rather than a hiss. Hope to hear your thoughts. Thanks you much.
@@MoneyShift awesome :D I am looking for a fun daily between now and the end of the year. Haven't seen a whole lot of 2023's around 50k or under that excite me (I've owned a BRZ/Miata but want more practicality/usable space), but this is def top of my list so far! Can't wait to see more of your videos on your Type S ownership
@@suzysparks May I ask which city? I called Dallas and they told me it was 500 down + 5k when it arrives "due to market adjustment" and I said no thanks lol
This color car looks really good & the color is electric, now of course I have the 21 TLX Type S in this same color, but this is the first time I've seen one at the dealership it seems like all of the others are receiving white.
All dealer demos were white! The other color combos were apart of the first 200 pre sale. Acura offered 50 of 4 different color combos, and I snagged 1 of the 50 Tiger Eye!
Saw one yesterday at a dealership for 65k . I won't trade the fk8 for that, especially when I got my for 36k brand new . But I did spend 68k on a camaro zl1 a few months back . Beautiful car, but compared to the fk8, it's not a big upgrade for the amount of money that the dealer wants. MSRP " YES "
@@MoneyShift i fear that the ITS will always have an insane mark up. We'll see. I paid a 5K mark up for the CTR, wasnt ideal but it is what it is. It would be nice to just get one at MSRP.
If you wrap the black gloss on the front and rear do a before and after and let us know which brand wrap you used and what you paid! Thx! I’m trying to be patient waiting for my Type S to arrive! The video doesn’t do this car justice once you see it in person you will be sold!
@MoneyShift my bad Elon musk. Here, your kona N was most likely upside down. Granted you paid msrp and let's say put 5k down you'd be barley even. The type S is selling for 10k above sticker price. So you have a 60k loan. Even with amazing credit, you're getting a crappy msrp in today's market. So unless you're dropping 20k on this car, you're not paying below 700

It is in fact in my driveway. This car was apart of the first 200 Integras, so it is not a dealer demo, as such I had no hold on the car

Picked mine up last week in Apex Blue Pearl, and I am in love!!!
Hell ya! Congrats JCMH! I loved the Apex blue, but was afraid of the white interior (I wear jeans a lot)
@@MoneyShift Fair!
Congrats!!!! Is there a break in period?
Thanks!!
For the first 600 miles you are advised to keep it below 4k, and to avoid hard braking for the first 200 miles!
You have to PPF wrap the rear diffuser and the side window markers. I have a 2023 MDX Type S Advance.
Good call!
I’ll be doing just that, potentially Carbon wrapping the rear diffuser….but we will see!
@@MoneyShift Not carbon wrap, PPF, look it up. It will still be glossy but NEVER scratch!

Hi great Video. I have a 2020 FK8. I put a deposit down for an the TypeS. Can you give me a comparison on how they drive please?
You bet! I previously owned an FK8, but hoping to track one down for a video soon!
Wao i just felt in love with this integra type s and trade in my 17 fk8 sence new
Congrats! Awesome purchase :D were you able to get it for msrp?
Everywhere I call in Texas wants 5-15k over :(

I have a deposit for one at a dealership in Texas at MSRP. Now I am looking at a 6+ month wait, but I don’t mind. I have an MDX Type S as as my daily.
