Sepp will do what the team wants him to do. Sepp is a great rider but Jonas is the team leader and the strongest G.T. rider if something happens to Jonas in a G.T. then Sepp could fill in. But Sepp will be Sepp and work for Jonas. But I think Sepp should be able to go for more stage wins instead of being held back to help the team leader.
he is more an alternative solution than a problem since the team is now without Roglic and has only one pure GC. He has to share his part of burden with Jonas. They need each other in Tour-Vuelta combo. It is a good time for the team to promote a third potential gc such as Attila or Tratnik maybe. They have also demonstrated very good performance and consistency as super domestiques.
Seppie is just awesome ❤ Im still very sad that Primoz left JV but Jonas and Sepp can make a Co leadership. Jonas will support that for sure. Im Danish 🇩🇰 and are rooting for Seppie and Jonas to win 1-2 in TDF 2024 they work so well together, and have a super motorbike 😂 in Wout Van Aert….but to be honest, I really really hope that Primoz will finally win TDF 24 ( I wish he had not left to Bora 😰 ) in some ways its his time to shine. Wouldnt it be awesome to see Primoz 🥇 and Sepp second and Jonas 3 rd, all of them sharing the podium once again…..I have a soft spot for Primoz 🇸🇮 teaching Jonas everything …..
He already was the 2nd GC option for Jumbo in this year's TdF, and I think will be next year again, with probably more emphasis on staying close to top 5 while doing so. It'll be interesting to see if he's designated leader in the Giro, with Primoz gone, and assuming Jonas won't be in it.
LOL, with Premoz' gone, Sepp won't have anyone to pull him when Jonas decides to get greedy again! Jonas should learn how to be a good teammate instead of taking advantage of a situation. He went from being an up-an- comer to a selfish rider in the span of one year.
I think Visma will convince Sepp to ride the Giro as a co-leader (with Kooij) and then support (shadow) Vingo in the TDF. Then Vingo will do the Vuelta.
Yeah, I've gotten turned around about Sepp. He really loves the Vuelta so that is his 2nd GT of the year in 2024. Vingo may go too - and let the best man win.
Kuss is not the strongest rider on the team as far as grand tours go, shown in the later weeks of the Vuelta when Roglic and Vingo were instructed to hold back. Unless Jonas gets injured, I doubt that Kuss can go for a TDF title.
Ofcourse he won't be a problem. Sepp Kuss knows he got a little lucky also with his escape on one of the stages. Roglic and Vinegaard granted him the victory for all his efforts in the past. If Roglic and Vinegaard would have gone full throttle the following days to win the Vuelta Kuss wouldn't have been the winner. This was a team spirit thing. Sepp is realistic enough to know he is not at the same level as Pogačar, Vinegaard and Roglic.
Problem and problem. He hopefully still realises that can't beat the top top GC riders head to head. He can beat the secondary GC guys. And that he could go for some smaller stage races and maybe a Giro, that Pogacar isn't starting.
Nah, he'll be shadow/reserve leader in the TdF and probably co- or shadowleader in the Vuelta. But he'll never start as sole leader if Jonas is also there. And Jonas obviously also wants to win the Vuelta. He couldn't this year due to granting it to Kuss, so he'll likely aim to win next year.
Kuss knows that he in last few stages was gifted the overall win. He put him self in the position to win but Jonas stopped riding for it as hard on the last stage
For awhile there Jumbo had the perfect team, they had someone to win each grand tour. The problem is everyone wants to win TdF. Because we humans have our own individual ambitions we can’t tell Primoz to get the Giro, Johan you can do the Tour and Sepp the Vuelta is yours. To bad. I wonder who will lead the Giro for Jumbo next year?
I hate this. I think get rid of kuss to get Jonas to ride for his full potential he needs fully loyal riders that doesnt have ambitions of winning themselves. He is able to do a double and he might even have the tripple in him but not with someone on his team with this mentality. It was a mistake to let kuss win the vuelta. It just led to a dysfunctional team splitting up. Roglic leaving kuss with with gt ambitions.
totally agree, it was a big mistake to let kuss win, and when i say let i mean let. Jonas could have won if he wanted to. And for the tour it aint gonna work if sepp has this mentality.
I don't think Kuss is a problem - he knows who's the strongest GC rider on the team and will do what the team tells him to. I don't the giro is an option for Sepp Kuss unless Tadej crashes or something so his best chance of getting top 5 will be the Vuelta, but I don't expect Jonas to hold back one more time, especially not if he doen't winn the TDF.
Sepp and the team will support yonas at the tour, and I don’t see why sepp would really sepp would fight yonas for leadership. It clear that yonas is stronger , I do see sepp go for gc the la vuelta again
If Sepp Kuss wants to win the Vuelta, he has to skip the Giro. Am I right? Because there is not way he is skipping the Tour and ridding in six consecutive grand tours, winning one of them, and going for all out in all of them is hardcore, and just pointless.
Ad least he is telling it open and fairly ! but he must know they letted him win the Vuelta ! if he is good he could end on a top 10 spot in a grand tour if he rides for himself ....
Getting into a winning break and then winning a mountain stage on your own then turning yourself inside out to defend yourself in a brutal TT then getting attacked by not one but two riders on your own team three times is not a gift.
hi, there ad least 4 better GC riders than Sepp .... But a fifth place in the tour the france is great ! Roglic was not so happy .He could have attacked Sepp several times but the teamcar stopped him. I think Jumbo would have like to win the 3 big tours with 3 different riders......@@rockhopper01
@@rockhopper01he had trouble following the wheel in the third and final week which is when the best separate themselves. Jonas and Primoz were both obviously stronger but we’re told to hold back. Not too disappointed since if anyone “deserves” a gift that would be Sepp.

He can win or podium at the Giro or Vuleta if the field is weak, so no Pog, Rog, Jonas and peak shape Remco. In the last few years Tao Geoghegan Hart and Jai Hindley won the Giro, Sepp can compete with 2nd tier GC riders. As the big 4 GC contenders are all currently scheduled to participate in the TdF in 2024, the Giro seems up for grabs.
Man - I would rather you simply played video / audio of Sepp's interview, rather than read it out in your monotonic robot / generative AI voice with weird closed caption cartoon subtitles..... very irony and boring and makes the whole vid pace seem slow,. I couldn't watch
I’ve known Sepp his entire life… no need to try to create drama for more clicks. He’s not a “problem” rider. 🙏🏾

Jonas Need kuss. UAE got a very strong mountain train, but Jumbo got Kuss, and he can smack them all.

Kuss did not win any Grand Tour. He was ‘GIFTED’ one! That makes him ‘gifted’ domestique in more than one way!
Great channel, buddy. Your consistency is much appreciated.
Thank you for the kind words :) Glad you like the videos!
There’s not a rider in pro-cycling who’s less a Team ‘problem’ than Sepp Kuss.
He’s exemplified that in every race he’s ever ridden.
Period.
Love the work, keep it up!
Ayy, coming from the GOAT himself! Thank you, and of course likewise!

Yeah, and what’s up with the whacky subtitles?
Sepp will be key in the tour de france. He won't ride the giro but will ride tour of spain ..... He has heard it here first ....
Makes a lot of sense
I say go for it Kuss. Make him captain too with Cian Uijtdebroeks as co captain, so you have two horses to play on:)
Sepp will be a king Domestique and then he will be given full support in the Vuelta....thinking anything else is crazy
Jonas said next year he wants to win the Vuelta, so I’m not so sure about that
