  • How Primož Roglič Took Jumbo Visma To The TOP Of The WORLD
    A bit over a decade ago, when Primož Roglič was still a ski-jumper, Team Jumbo-Visma didn’t even exist yet, but ever since he’s transitioned to cycling and they had taken him under their wing, him and the team have pedaled their way hand-in-hand to the very top of the World. But now that he’s leaving the team that forged him, the question is, can he win the Tour de France without them?

    If not a crash, next year Roglic will at least podium at TdF. He got good climbing domestique in Valasov for the last man in the mountain. In fact, he does not need more than that as Jumbo and UAE will drive the peloton up the mountain and Valasov's duty is to provide crucial support if Tadej or Vinegaard attacks late in the mountain. All in all, Roglic can only win if he has super legs in the 3rd week.

    Just hear first time the merge is canceled. I'm happy to hear that because it would be bad for the sport. There is a thing of having too much big winners in one team. I was already happy to see Primoz chose to part ways with Jumbo. Always been a Primoz fan, not a Jumbovis fan. I really hope he can get his Tour de France victory in the future.

    Hindley and kämna are two world class Riders. I think Bora could really Beat Jumbo. Its going to be hard but possible. I think remco needs a new Team aswell, dont know If ineos would be the best move tho. Depends on the other Riders in the Team and If they are really OK with playing domestique for remco. As Long as WE dont See an other year Like Last year. Roglic going to Bora is probably the best Thing that could have Happened for us cycling Fans. Maybe Kuss could Go to an other Team aswell but i dont know If He is good enough to be a Leader without the Help of Jonas,Van Aert and roglic

      @@peterderidder9922 van Aert is no GC contender, meaning that nobody gives a fuck if he attacks. He does lose 30 minutes in the real mountainstages anyway.
      You make the comment that Roglic does only attack at 2 km from the finish..... Small question... how many riders are there left at 2 km of the finish of a mountainstage Peter ? He's just smarter than others (In de koers eet je nu eenmaal eerst het bordje van de tegenstander leeg.).
      And how many km was it that both Roglic and Vingegaard attacked Pogacar in the Tour of 2022 ? How km from the finish was it when Roglic and Bernal started their raid in the Vuelta 2020 or 2021 ? Yes indeed in both situations there was more than 100 km to go.
      I agree that a Remco Evenepoel for example does in general attack from further... But on the other hand Evenepoel has never won a stage race in which Roglic, Vingegaard or Pogacar did also participate (And reach the final stage.).
      Most of Roglic his victories where not thanks to his team actualy (A number of them yes of course.). Just look back what kind of teams did support Roglic during his Vuelta wins or even during this years Giro. (In this years Giro he only had Kuss to support him in the mountains, just compare that with the support Geraint Thomas did have with a de Plus and Arensman etc etc etc.)..... he
      And even if he did get help from his teammates.... Give me one rider who fights for GC wins that does not have full team to support him.
      I respect your opinion, but it is a bit biased nevertheless Peter.... For now he's the only of the big four who has four Grand Tour wins, and when it comes to amount of victories he's way ahead of the other three big names. Despite the fact that he hasn't been a pro much longer then the other three.
      Yes he's older, but he started cycling at a much older age too. It is only +/- six years ago that he started to win stages and little races, people sometimes forget that.

    Primoz would've had a better chance to win TdF as TJV co-leader with Jonas, all it would've take was a bad break or a crash for Jonas for him to be given sole leadership, and Jonas has shown he has no problem riding in support of his teammates, remember Jonas was the one who wanted the team to support GC Kuss, and it was Primoz who wanted to keep racing for it.

    • @indonesiaamerica7050
      @indonesiaamerica7050 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The problem is Roglic does best when the whole team follows his need to protect his "energy" until he's ready to strike. Even the first time Jonas won it was because the team worked too hard to unseat Pogacar and it also undid Roglic. Roglic often crashes when he pushes himself too hard not just in terms of speed over difficult terrain but trying to keep up with his GC rivals day after day. Jonas gains more from sitting in than the other GC leaders. Roglic needs a team like Armstrong had at USPS.

      @@indonesiaamerica7050 I still think he would've had a better chance as co-leader, because Jonas won't have everything work in his favor every year, but I guess we will see what Bora can do

      I'm skeptical about what people say on Twitter. Jonas wanted to win the Vuelta in exactly the same way he won the TdF. Some guys are always like that in road racing. Roglic was down for protected leader long before the TdF even started this year. Jonas coming along on the Vuelta to "join" Roglic (who was an already 3-time champ) was always kind of sketchy and Jonas did in fact attack Roglic and the Red Jersey to take a stage. That's not what stoic support riders do. His doubletalk fools few people and I assure you Roglic was not fooled either. Roglic had nothing to apologize for. In fact, Jonas even surged ahead of the Red Jersey to follow Roglic's legitimate surge/attack. There's no way a guy that does that is trying to support anyone else but himself, regardless of what his mouth tells you. In the their situation (sitting 1, 2, 3 on GC) you would never attack the red jersey but you might go on coordinated attacks where you do surge ahead as a stalking horse. What you don't do is have the second and third placed guys attack together to drop the leader's jersey on their own team. That's almost like what Lewis Hamilton did to his own teammate this past weekend in F1. LOL.

      @LooseANDplay 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      But the problem is, Jumbo can't handle 2 leaders. It already showed on TDF when both Jonas and Primož got into trouble. Whole team pulled Jonas and they left Roglič injured and alone at the side of the road.

    • @EnochTheFirstProphet
      @EnochTheFirstProphet 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@LooseANDplay not true, Jonas happened earlier in the stage &.WvA was already committed to Jonas at that point, Primoz had the misfortune of it happening near the end of the stage, and Jumbo sent help back for him, but obviously there's only 1 WvA, if that happened in 2024, he would've had Van Baarle & Valter to bring him back, but also Primoz was really injured from that crash & had to drop out after helping Jonas on stage 11. If Jonas & Primoz had issues at the same time, it would have been a totally different story, Primoz just had very bad luck with that road furniture. Also they went 1-2-3 at the Vuelta with all the top riders except Pogacar, so I don't buy into that narrative. However, he will get his wish, so we will see what he can do when having to ride against TJV. As a TJV fan, I really hated to see him go, and if TJV rider can't win, I will definitely be cheering for Primoz.

      Just say that to Evenepoel or Pogacar this season. Sometimes you can't do anything about it. Roglic crashing out of the Tour twice in 2021 and 2022 was just bad luck he couldn't do anything about... One time because of a fool with a Opi & Omi sign who stands on the road, and the year after because a motorcycle takes a turn so badly that it hits a bale of hay, which is thrown onto the road. Where unfortunately Roglic also arrives in the same second.
      Impossible to blame Roglic for both accidents.
      Evenepoel crashed nine times this season to just give you a example of bad luck. Dogs crossing roads (Giro where he crashed 3 times in a few days.), wet roads at the Belgian ITT championship, at Lomardia last weekend etc etc etc.
      I agree that sometimes it is also the rider his own fault of course. But most of the times it isn't even the rider in question we can blame.
