How did you teach yourself the violin and how long have you been playing?? And do you know how to read music?

I learned how to read music with the help of my friends, and I was in orchestra class all throughout high school! I've been playing for about 9 years now! As to how I taught myself, I would mainly watch a lot of videos and ask a LOT of questions to my friends when I was still very inexperienced. I did this as an attempt to not develop any bad habits! Some did arise over the years, but I have ironed some of them out!
