been consuming so much botw/totk content in anticipation of the new game, that youtube started recommending me less popular vids. I'm glad it showed me yours. Hope the lack of views isn't too discouraging.
If you told me this channel had like 2 million subs, i would believe you. That's how good the editing and scriptwriting of the video is. You smashed it man.
I fucking love this game. One of my all time favorite games of all time. It's beautiful and the world feels so damn alive and I LOVE that. And funny that you mention that people don't like the music because I used to really not like it, but once I'd listened to it separately and that made me really appreciate it for what it is and I loved it. I realized just how atmospheric it is and I ABSOLUTELY loved it for that. I love this video, great job.
As a 28 year old myself, when I was younger, I remember people heaped shit on Wind Waker for it's art style because we just came off of Ocarina of Time's somewhat darker atmosphere thinking it was one of the best games ever made (and to be fair, *it did* end up being one of the best games ever made but we didn't know it would be at the time so that's beside the point) and being the dumb kids we were we didn't want to be _treated_ like kids so we saw this beautiful, rich, colorful art style that didn't say "give them more of the same" but "give them something new and exciting", pointed at it, and went "babby gaem." because we were too good for it or something. And that's _all it was to some of us_ until we became adults and went "hang on a second this is one of the best looking games in the entire series. This art style actually holds up even in 2023, especially if you play it on an emulator and can give it some extra resolution." And that's what I am seeing happening with Breath of the Wild. I'm willing to bet that those people leaving low reviews because _"It's all empty fields!"_ _"I hate weapon durability!"_ are gonna walk that shit right back in a few years and Breath of the Wild is gonna be heralded as an underrated masterpiece. Because the thing that always endures with Zelda games, the one thing that always makes the games feel new even literal real life decades after their release, all the way back to ocarina of time and, though it was before my time, A Link To the Past, is the _v i b e_ of a Zelda game. It's something that is seldom ever recreated by other people. The reason people like souls games/bloodborne/elden ring is not because it's an exercise in masochism, it's because of the _v i b e_ just like Zelda. For you it's the bridge. For me it's Malon singing at night in Lon Lon Ranch in OOT.
“Rowdy youths bullying a pig” is fucking hilarious, haha. I hope you make some more vids about other games! So I just beat Red Dead 2 for the first time. I was debating in my head which I prefer-BotW or RDR2. No matter how great the story and the visuals are in RDR2 are, I think BotW takes it. That being said, Ocarina will always be my favorite Zelda.
Also agree that the weapon breaking was never a problem for me. It’s only a problem in the Trial of the Sword on Master Mode lol. But outside of that, it was NEVER a problem, and does indeed encourage one to use different weapons.
I have vivid memories of playing BOTW back when it first came out. I'm 15 now, and I was like 10 at the time I THINK, since I was born in October. Idk I'm not doing math right now. So, I've gone into and finished middle school, and I'm nearly done with my freshman year of highschool. (And I'm still on the same file. *Look*, in my defense, I didn't pick up my Switch for like two years plus I decided to do 100%. I'm not the best at the game lol)
There is nothing I want more than playing this game for the first time again. Thanks bossman, you really put me on a nostalgia trip here.
That's the main reason why I'm so very excited for totk 😌
@@musicaldoodles9615 me too. Can't wait to play it as soon as I can.

Putting it in context with Fortnite has blown my mind omg
Nah 400 views is actually criminal holy
got to get the EU to bring in a law that forbids all future sparkie uploads from receiving anything less than 1 billion views
