Hai mr B.. when change The exhaust co must change to +14..? Some bike change to +10 some bike change to +18.. how to Know The number adjusted Is correct..??
Hi Mr B, Changing this parameters can harm the bike? I want to change it on my bike to get rid of the sanchy throttle, but im running with stock exhaust
Hey Mr.B. I have 2 MT09's One is the silver blue like yours with the acro pipe. The other has a 2 brothers S1R system. In your opinion would you do the mixture settings to 14 for this 2 brothers setup also? Be keen for your opinion. Cheers Bob from Australia
Hi Mr. B, I have a MT09 2017 with K&N air filter. I follow the procedure to set up the CO for each cilinder, but i cant access the diag menu. Do you know how to acces the diag menu on the MT09 2017? With the stock scape system, what is the correct value for the CO? Thanks.
Skeggy Cruiser No mate its no substitute to a PC or ecu remap as with these you can make more adjustments through the rev range, throttle etc. Would be nicer, being that its a condoned exhaust by yamaha, to supply an at least dealer uploadable standard map with it. Im impressed that it has this feature though.
jsouto77 Me too bud, great idea though, maybe in the future we'll see bike with built in PC so we can just alter like this, would be great, why should the bike companies care they don't get anything back from the aftermarket suppliers,
Skeggy Cruiser jsouto77 Yeah, what we really need is a usb port on the bike and a selection of maps to load! They could charge extra for the port and software... oh well. RSMF-*RI* Mr B
For some reason my 2019 diagnostic won’t pop up, the only thing I can get to show is the screen brightness. Does it have to be unlocked via the ECU/servicing or something? Cheers
Hi..Mr. B, fyi I was setting up just like you recommended. But how to remap back to original setting? Should i setting back CO to the zero for cylinder 1 to 3?
Alexandre Gonçalves I've heard it's the recommended setting for Akra with or without Killer - so yes =) - But I always recommend a dyno. Cheers Buddy RSMF-*RI* Mr B
Hi Mr B. Awesome video. Need a piece of advice. When I wanted to change the CO settings, I accidentally change the setting in DIAC (in your video your warned not to change the diac settings). Do you know what's best setting for diac after installing akra carbon? Thanks in advance.
Syamsul Herman A lot of the Diag cannot be changed as it just shows you what the computer sees, like side stand down etc.. French ECU does have a setting to enable full power. CO menu is for fuel, stay out of the other options. If you are worried go to a dealer and check the default settings by scrolling through another MT09 RSMF-*RI* Mr B
hi Mr B. may i know the setting for akra titanium with cat converter. my MT09 2015 is also equipped with BMC air filter. is it going to be +20? or lesser due to the cat converter? hope to hear from you soon.
My 2016 fz09 wont go to the co menu i can get to the diagnostics just fine but i cant move that around only choose diagnostics. I have been running a m4 slip on for a few months now because i cant afford to tune or anything. If its possible to change the co settings like you did on a stock ecu then i would really love to know how. Please reply i spent 20 mins in the garage trying to get to that co menu but couldnt.
Hi, some Euro ECU's are blocked from being changed, I know in france the ECU is blocked - so only way is to get it flashed. If you do get it flashed then it removes the speed limiter too. RSMF-*RI* Mr B
Hiya Mr B, ive just got myself an MT-09 and luckilly managed to blag an Akropovic fitted in the bargain. Even though i have set the ecu to the settings you say i was wondering where you got them from cos i have scanned the net to no avail. Akropovic actually say there is no need to change the settings and as i said i just wondered where you obtained them from. Cheers p.s. love your vids, very informative
I have install full carbon akra and without the baffles. Yamaha workshop set mine to 25. I m still in doubt what those figures and the mechanic told me xsr900 setting max is 30. I think i want to change it back to 0 as Akra advice no adjustment is required for XSR900
Changing that settings will only affect the first 2% of throttle opening, as I've been told. Get a proper flash of that CPU-unit with a map specificly made for your configuration. Some good information on this can be found on FZ-09.org and the likes. For an good example have a look on www.vcyclenut.com for all the possibilities. ;) Sorry, haven't found someone local near you, or my own area for that matter... :( But a local tuner has promised me to have a look, so there's some hope. Been struggling with the same questions for some time longer.... :) Have a Kevinxtx O2-optimizer already, which made a big difference. Still looking for refinement and maybe some extra horsies.
You haven't got a clue what you're doing, this has no effect on the fuelling for an exhaust setup whatsoever, the co setting is purely to get the bike off the production line under eu emmission regulations by the manufacturer. You need a complete ecu remap via a dyno to achieve the correct fuelling for specific exhaust types.
This is absolute rubbish, the co settings do nothing for fuelling and do not improve throttle snatchiness, it is purely for manufacturers to meet eu emmissions laws so their bikes can leave the factory. The info in this vlog is 100% misleading.

Co setings > its for reach or lean mixture not for your aftermarket exaust link below with the dino tests you will know what you need !
Mr B, does this settings also apply to the 2015 MT-09 Tracer with Akrapovic?

Hi Mr B,
It looks like you might have fitted flatter bars on your MT09?
Please can you tell me where you found these.
Thanks

Hi Buddy,
Nope these are stock, just fine too!

Great vid. Checked mine yesterday. All set to 15. Not sure I should change it back to 14 or not. 2015 with Akra and cat not installed by dealer.

I tried this and it didn't work. The screen stayed regular. Where did I go wrong.
If only all bikes were adjustable like that.
***** Yeah, it's a start, saves some time to set the mix.

That's bloody useful being able to do that, I'm assuming that, that is in place of having to fit a power commander! Nice one Bud, RSM8 RI.

Yeah I have 2019 mod too and won't go into diagnose mode hmm
I tried to do it in 2019 tracer 900 but without success. What's wrong with the 2018 and later models?
I have the fz09 2014, this settings works on my bike too?
Gonna be a silly question where did you find out the co2 level for your pipes I have different system than yours
Hi..Mr. B, fyi I was setting up just like you recommended. But how to remap back to original setting? Should i setting back CO to the zero for cylinder 1 to 3?
Yes 0 on all three cylinders

Thank's ..Mr. B...you're awesome!
I got mt-09 2014 which akrapovic race exhaust what is the best setting it’s now on 14 but it’s stuttered to much ??
Did you ever find out what was the best setting.?
Hi, Mr. B. Can you please tell me if it will be necessary to remap the fuel injection if you install the Akrapovic with the DB killer?
Alexandre Gonçalves I've heard it's the recommended setting for Akra with or without Killer - so yes =) - But I always recommend a dyno.

Where did you get the number from (wanna check for the 09 SP if I can)?
Hi, I got a 2016 with the Akra ti system. Did you notice any difference with this change?

Thank a lot Mr B. You're very helpful.
Can anyone confirm that these changes only affect the first 2% of throttle opening? Or entire throttle.
So, does doing this with the akra ti system make the bike run ok? If not, would you recommend an Ecu flash or power commander?
Joey K Looking at a PCV or Flash, not decided yet :) - K&N in the post ;o)

I have the same bike as you, i have k&n air filter and mivv suono exhaust with db killer. Where would i find it out, which number i should set it to?
hi Mr B. may i know the setting for akra titanium with cat converter. my MT09 2015 is also equipped with BMC air filter. is it going to be +20? or lesser due to the cat converter? hope to hear from you soon.
i also noticed a popcorn smell after i changed to +14. not sure if that is the cause of the smell.
+retroxuan I'd try +18 I found the cat made the exhaust pitch unbearable

If I install a K&N but have stock exhaust, do I still need to change my CO to 20? Thanks
Nguyễn Thành Vĩnh Phúc no need..keep it stock until u change your exhaust
My 2014 does not have the CO menu. It only shows DIAC. Do u know another way?
Thanks for your videos man, is this set up for the akrapovic carbon? That's what I have on my fz09.
Can you do this on the 2018?
is 14 the maximum value? whats the logic behind 14 and not 12? or 10?
+VS15T Optimum from dyno testing

Video saying 14 comments 12. What setting should i choose. ?

Gonna fit a new airfilter too? If you are please make a vid. They are very informative. Thanks!
guido werner Yes, K&N on order, will make a fitting VID as none are on you tube :o)

I tried it on my 2017 didn't work couldn't even get it to start
Reny M yup me too can't access on the 17 model?
Did you find the solution?
Does this fuel setting work for the FZ09 as well?
That's a 2017 FZ09-wanting to get that same exhaust system.
Hi Mr B my one is SC project set also same 12?
+Mr ET Hi, I would go with +14 :)

Hi! Will this work for a XSR 900?
I have install full carbon akra and without the baffles. Yamaha workshop set mine to 25. I m still in doubt what those figures and the mechanic told me xsr900 setting max is 30. I think i want to change it back to 0 as Akra advice no adjustment is required for XSR900
Sadly this setting is not available on the 2016 MT-09 ABS model I have, due to new EU regs, dammit.
Changing that settings will only affect the first 2% of throttle opening, as I've been told.
