This one goes out to Praachi Saini. She emailed me back in 2021 and sent me a bunch of articles about Indian military stories.

Can you please do more Indian military stories? There are a lot of stories in the Indian military. If I remember correctly, there was one where a soldier who died in the snow has a monument built for him. His shoes are at the monument. Every morning, when they open the monument, his shoes have snow on them as if someone wore them outside on patrol. Something like that.

There is another legend in the Indian Army about an officer, Baba Harbajan Singh who fell to the hostile environment. The local govt made a temple to his name in his honour. My friend's father was in Indian army, he was posted in the Nepal border. He made many locals his friends and they told him about yetis and other dangers that you should avoid. They even show the photos of the yetis but refused to give or publish (as Nepal government strictly prohibited) some of older locals had many encounters with yetis, some of even injured in the conflict. The locals even told him that yetis are nocturnal so be more careful at night when in duty. He is now retired and living a happy life.

I have had four different very close encounters with Sasquatch in Southern Illinois between 1989 - 1990. I even had one run about 20 to 25 ft away from me & one follow me for 3 1/2 miles down a road.
I found several dozen foot tracks that were 18 in Long, twice as wide as a man's foot. Each foot had five toes.
    I know 100% without a doubt what I experienced!

I am from India and i was speding my school summer holidays at village. The year was 1998 and was in 6th standard. I stumbled across a very old hindi magzine which was just kept as a leftover in huge pile of books. I started reading it and was shocked to read the yeti story.
A real man got lost in the heights of himalayas, rescused by yeti, ate local herbs and vegetation and wrote even postal letters to his home somehow. His body dimensions and hair growth changed at a unprecented rate. He finally started getting taller and taller and could not maintain any further contact with the outside world.
    He became a yeti.
He also told yeti have families and children too.
Also one of the yeti father took control of his children as mother yeti died in an avalanche.
I seriously should have kept copy of that magazine with myself. I even forgot the name of magzine as i was a small kid. I wish i literally wish if i could remember the name of that old magazine. There was no internet or social media in 1998 in India to make such a fantastic detailed story.
I truley believe that yes Yeti do exist.

I’ve heard so many stories from my fellow India 🇮🇳 friends as well as my Tibetan friends. The Tibetan monks I’ve befriended all shared stories of Yeti encounters. All claim they are inter-dimensional creatures that can disappear and reappear at will.

There are terrestrials in India or Pakistan, where there's one there's more. these are offworld visitors pets/security.. we don't know if these terrestrials are friendly or Hostile.
Russia Military netted 20 in Siberia 1977, their chest/ frontal skin is like bullet proof armour, russa military ammo issue just bounced off, they fixed bayonets, their hips thighs lower torso had no protection, when bayoneted they'd release a deafening scream an race back into the cave, soldiers say they had green blood, it's actually dark blue, but could look green, in poor light, they searched every where in those caves an found nothing.
They were imprisoned back at the military base on the edge of Siberia.
The next morning on security camera, during early morning,it shows them disappearing into thin air from their cells.
      Teleportation without a doubt.
the terrorist ruski scum executed the guards.
Theres more, if anyone has heard of ruski terrorist scum troops been turned to stone, well this is the Event where it happened, in the caves were 3Hostile craft as they Fled one stopped at a 500mtres an emitted a Ray which immediately turned 1000, ruskis to stone.
ruski military say they were setting up a Colony.
They then flee to the Ocala, Forest Park caves. Nth Florida.
      That's another story.

Been to the Himalayas twice in the late 1990s, once to Nepal and once to Ladakh. Both times we were trekking at high altitude. Both times we (my wife was with me) felt that creepy feeling of being watched by something dangerous. The episodes each lasted for some minutes. The rest of the time there were just the usual out-doors life in the wilderness sorts of sounds that were fairly familiar or easily accounted for. Never saw anything. Did hear something snuffling and moving around outside our tent one night in Nepal and the next morning we found that all the yaks had run off down the valley (usually they did not roam, from memory they were hobbled or tethered). No proof but definitely a believer.

But, archives do have them mentioned for a long time. Unfortunately, no measure has been taken to know more about it. I believe with the modern time and technology it is not at all impossible to find out more. I also believe 'let it live in the shadows, undisturbed' is a reason.

I have actually seen a Yeti in Pokhra. In 2014. Just a year before the earthquake. It was at the Sunrise point, on one of the peaks which perpendicularly faces the East. I know it was a Yeti, because literally nothing moving on those peaks should be visible from the Sunrise point. Not even a Himalayan Brown Bear. I literally saw a dot move rapidly up the peak and disappear on its top( that is, descend on ots Western Side ). But then, I was just 9 then, so nobody believed me, not even my NRI mom who was born and brought up in Kathmandu.

...the peak I saw it move on was 5 fucking Kilometres away from where I was standing. If it was a wolf, it'd practically be invisible. I've seen like a dozen large wolves, and from a distance of 5 Kilometres, it's definitely not possible for the human eye to perceive even a large Timber Wolf moving up a mountain peak. I can confirm that further because I have seen wild Tibetan Wolves in Ladakh, from a distance of 2 kilometres, but that too because I was scanning the peaks with a pair of Binoculars. They were downright invisible in a Snow-clad peak the moment I took the Binoculars off.

i feel like its one thing to get in a costume and walk thru the woods but to have like 4-5-6 guys in the woods making noises and sounds and "trying" to mimic and communicate... someones gonna fuck up or get over excited and make a noise that doesn't fit but that shit sounds scary honestly, like they are communicating and increasing in closeness and the tell tale banging on trees and snapping branches... idc how "strong/alpha/redneck woodsman" someone is you cant bang a tree like that, you just cant.

I remember reading a book as a kid with stories about the yeti, and there was an acount from some locals who witnessed a "yeti" twist the head off yak. That always stuck with me.

I've read some stories where Sasquatchs would kill by decapitation, either in conflict with native american tribes or when unaware travelers were at the wrong place at wrong time.

Fun fact: Different elite units of the US military undergo training run by the Indian army at HAWS ( high altitude warfare school) before being deployed to Afghanistan.

One thing I like about the new art style is that it unifies War/Bed-Time Stories. Each style is distinct enough while still harmonizing with each other

I'm still with Ivan Sanderson on this; if the Yeti exist, they live in the high valleys, not up above the snow line. His theory was that they venture up into the peaks when moving between valleys, or when foraging for vitamin rich moss under the snow.

To be clear, by "stride" you mean from right to left, or from left to right. Sometimes the word means left to right to left again. It is in that sense that a Roman mile was defined as a thousand (same root as in "millipede") strides of a marching soldier.
