My granddad was a CPT in the North Vietnam army during the height of the war. When I was a kid, he told me countless stories of paranormal/supernatural stuff happening in the jungle and even in more "peaceful" towns that rarely saw combat. To this day, some of which still scare the shit out of me. Sadly, he passed away in 2020 and I couldn't get back home due to the pandemic. I would've traded a lot to listen to more stories from him again. RIP granddad.

I am an American in my 40s. My parents are from the jungles and hills of Laos. They relocated to the US after the Vietnam war. As a kid my parents, aunts and uncles would tell us stories of serpent humanoids disguised as humans (mostly as women) dressed in fancy gold dresses to lure men who are away from home and bring them to their underwater caverns.

We have stories in India of these creatures being called as Nagas ( Snake like humanoids) and their realm is called Naaglok which is under the earth crust. The term Naga ( Singular) origins from Nag ( meaning Snake) and they are deemed as Magical mythical creatures with shape shifting abilities.

Yes in the Uk we have these lizard people called the Slow worm folk or the ophisaurus blokes & if you venture into the woods sometimes you can hear them in the distance playing their bongo drums. In the Uk they are much shorter, perhaps about 5ft 3' & they don't glow anymore because of the rise in Marmite pollution. I tried to catch one but the end of his tail fell off & he ran away, I think he hissed "ya can't catch me, yippeedy dee!!" Which may be an old leprechaun saying.

Indo-American Game Dev/network data security engineer here, I based my game's lore (WIP) around indian mythology and culture, and I've done a metric Fu*k ton of research for it.
We also have stories of a war with the Naags, dating back to around the 8th century, only briefly spoken about in the Vedas and the Gita. According to what I've been able to piece together in the past 6 years from various sources and scripts:
There was once a sinkhole in modern-day Nagaland, and (I believe it was the during the Sena dynasty) from it, poured out thousands of reptilian humanoid beings with spears and lances. A war started, lasted about 40 years.
We "won" and drove them out of the region altogether, which pushed them into the jungles to the southeast, and then collapsed the sinkhole completely. One author surmised that this was the original cause for the clash between (then) India and China.

Unfashionably late to the party, but this episode really hit me because my dad and uncle both served in Vietnam and maybe it was partly because my uncle didn't come home, but my dad would never talk about it. I have so many questions that I will never get answers to because he's been gone a little over a year and even before he actually passed, dementia destroyed his mind. So anyhow, thank you for this. I am very sorry about your father, as I lost my own grandfather (Korean war vet) to a stroke, which left him brain-dead for a year. He was the only other servicemember in my immediate family (a Marine, no less). Having someone you love and losing them at the same time is somehow even more heartbreaking.
As for the war itself, for as much (or perhaps as little) as I've read about Vietnam specifically, I have a better understanding now of why many men chose not to speak about their experiences. Misplaced guilt, being one of the many reasons. Many of them were put into situations none of us would choose to be, and then treated like monsters by ignorant people who wanted to throw stones and had no understanding of their experiences. Many men like your father may have only ever shared their experiences during an interview for one of the many books and films made, or in the company of fellow war vets, rather than sharing them with their family who they neither wished to traumatize or burden with the tragedies they witnessed. I've since made it a habit to say "welcome home" to any man I see wearing a Vietnam veteran cap.

Reports of tall lizards were reported in Los Angeles under the city and encounters above. There have also been reports in desert caves in US
Saying "thank you" to US soldiers being used as cannon fodder is pretty outrageous. Every US war since vietnam was based on monumental lies.
Virtually the entire US political establishment carried out treason .
The people who thank the soldiers become accessories to that treason by their sanctioning the lies of the war and using the soldiers as cannon fodder..
The russian political establishment invasion of Ukraine was built on lies. These are acts of treason using the soldeirs as cannon fodder. Sadly, most russians sanction the lies and treason. Not much different than most americans.
A political mindset that lives by mafia ethics and morality dominates every major country.

Can confirm. My one and only story that I can not explain away. I was working as the chief engineer aboard LYNX. A reproduction of a 1812 privateer. It would of been about 5 years ago now so around 2018. We had left Brunswick Georgia bound for key west. We were about 1/2 day into the trip. I wish I could remember where we were but somewhere in north Florida. Ether way about 100 miles south of Brunswick Georgia. We were maybe 5-7 miles offshore. The distance where you can’t really see buildings unless they are huge but you can see the glow of city’s. We were sailing heading almost due south. Anyone who’s been on a sailing vessel offshore knows how quiet it is. I was standing the 0000-0400 watch. The seas were maybe 8-10’ on a long period. Our ship was 122’. Our ship being relatively small when you would go into a swell you would just see ocean around you. Around 0200 off our starboard beam I saw a red light. The light was between us and shore definitely closer to shore than us. But the light was small and I initially believed it to be a side light. But soon it disappeared. Not thinking anything of it I didn’t log it or notify anyone… but 5 minutes later I saw it again. Then it disappeared. Then 5 or so minutes later… again. This probably happened 4-5 times. Then I grabbed the binoculars because I was so curious. I stared in the bearing of the light. Eventually. BOOM I saw a red light shoot up then hover in the air before slowly disappearing. “Oh fuck” I thought. A red parachute flare. Someone is in trouble. I immediately woke up the captain and he came on deck. I explained the situation and we both observed the light. I was told to contact the coast guard. I called over vhf and went threw the bla bla bla of explaining. They then told us that we were should attempt to assist. We spent the better part of 20 minutes turning to starboard and we’re heading towards the bearing I spotted the light last. Making 6 or so knots it would take us the better part of an hour to get on scene. Not 5 minutes later the coast guard called the sat phone on the ship. I had gave them my number to follow up.
The person on the other end of the phone said something to the effect of “do not assist. Proceed south. Do not get closer. Do not go to assist”
I thought. Well they are on scene. They don’t need us. But the atmosphere of the phone call was off. It felt weird. But hey. We are off the hook of trying to assist. In my mind I thought oh it’s just some drunk guy shooting flairs or something. So we fell off and proceeded south.
    About 10 minutes after…
From the direction where I was observing the flairs… the brightest blue light appears. And I don’t mean like a police light. It lit up the night. A dull blue. Almost white at the source. I don’t know how to explain it. It was a cloudy night. It lit up the bottom of the clouds. It was very unsettling seeing every cloud lit upside down. The water was lit too. It made the water glow. I don’t mean a point of light. It was just bright. Maybe brighter than the day. The ocean was glowing. I could see down into the normally black water. Then after this happened for maybe 30 seconds but felt like a life time. A blue light shot up. Like up to space. The best I can describe it is like those pillars in a halo game that shoot blue lights up.
    Then it was dark again
Everyone observed it on deck. And we all just said wtf. It was so strange none of us knew what to say.
The fucked up thing is the next day. 8 hours later on my 1200-1600 watch we watched a space x launch and it was nothing like what I observed the night before which is the only thing I could think of. The rocket took a couple minutes to get out of sight. That blue light was maybe 2-4 seconds before it was gone.

So when I look out into a forest or jungle and the hairs on the back of my neck stand up I don't think how safe I am and how there is nothing there, I wonder what that is out there that created that response in me. Our bodies are telling us that there are things out there we must fear and it is incredible hubris to think that there is not. And it' a tribute to your storytelling that your voice and a series of still illustrations bring out those feelings. Well done.

There is a podcast called SOG cast with John"Tilt" Meyer and an episode with a former green beret called Nick Brokhausen which I was listening to recently and he started into telling a story from one of his missions in the Vietnamise jungle when he was accompanied by indigenous team members. These team members were well respected for their knowledge of the land and field craft in the jungles, also these specific team members on this mission were well known to Nick and he mentioned how cool calm and collected they normally were. However on this mission he commented how throughout they constantly were asking him to leave because of the "snake people" in this area and generally acting extremely agitated. He also noted how there were no north Vietnamese in the area (which if you've listened to any SOG stories is unusual, they normally involve combat) and the indigenous team members again told him this and it was because of the "snake people".
Nick told the story in a very matter of fact fashion and didn't seem to have an opinion about it one way or the other.
Anyway just thought Id share that as it gave me chills having remembered watching this video months before and now having a weird corroboration of stories lol, go check the podcast out if you are interested it was really good. I think the story comes up almost an hour in.

    2) A native lizard-like species from Earth that live in vast underground cities (some even say hollow earth) and kind of stay out of the way of humans.

It is both, there are Reptilians living in the Inner Earth (which is more like HoneyComb Earth not Hollow Earth) and they have been referred to as the Naga. But there are also Raptors that live underground. And then there are the Alpha Draconians that have been on and off the Planet for thousands of years and most likely seeded the Dinosaurs as a Reptilian Genetic Experiment. And the Draco created the Controlled Modern Society we have today with all the Draconian Laws and Rituals. Reptilians are known to have the ability to Shapeshift and Camouflage themselves beyond the abilities of the Chameleon. I believe that it was the Draco (and the Naga were a Draco Contingent that stayed on the Planet and went underground) that gave rise to all the Reptilian Gods in different Cultures, and the Draco and Dinosaurs that gave rise to Legends of Winged Dragons.

Regarding the reason why Vietnamese people avoid going too deep into these jungle, it's because there's an idiom that has passed within our culture for generations. "Rừng thiên, nước độc" which literally mean "divine jungle, poisonous water".
These area is believed to be home to powerful ancient spirit that can easily end your life if they're angered (which is true btw, call me crazy all you want, I saw people driven mad after they accidentally poke random rock in the jungle before. The hospital couldn't figure out the reason as well)

Another thing jungles easily hide are ancient cities. I know in the last 20 years there have been at least 2 or 3 large ones found, and some people have been looking for them at great risk to themselves with combination of satellite pictures, talking to locals, and walking the jungle. Where it has overtaken where people used to be is only traversable by foot or boat. The mountaneous areas are the most arduous to travel, but to be honest looking for artifacts is easier than strange creatures as sometimes we leave things we want people to find like tombs or giant shaped rocks.
I did see an instance where the locals did not allow them to take the river to their destination.
People live in the jungle who seldom meet or share what they know to people who live outside. Not all of them want to talk to outsiders.

Hearing you mention son doong really made me lose my mind. I was in phong nha earlier this year and was alone riding around the roads besides the jungle on my motorbike when I arrived at the entrance point for the hike to the cave. The hike itself is apparently a full days journey through the jungle. I walked for about 4 hours before becoming increasingly anxious of my surroundings. I could hear the crunching of branches as if I was being approached and I have never felt more like I was being observed in my life. I worked myself up into a frenzy and literally ran at a full sprint back the way I came (which was all the way up a steep muddied hill). Even once I got back onto the road where my bike was I still frenzied and I rode off as fast as possible. I understand that it’s natural to be paranoid in the jungle, especially when alone, but that wasn’t my first time exploring the jungle out there in vietnam and what I felt there was a different type of fear. Going into the jungle like that alone is stupid for so many reasons and I have had a few other sketchy experiences out there with running into some jungle people but all in all I’m grateful to have experienced it all. We’re not given the opportunity to feel that primal fear in today’s society, it’s horrible yet humbling. I don’t know what to think of reptilian people, especially when they’re described as humanoid but I do believe that anything could be out there in cave systems that vast, let alone in the jungles.

These are my favorite types of stories, strange creatures/cryptids/paranormal stuff witnessed by military personnel and soldiers. I’ve always heard that soldiers are more reputable when it comes to saying this stuff happened, because they have to take so many other factors into consideration, before they come to the conclusion that it was paranormal.

Excellent video! Very interesting, if i could add my two cents, I lived and worked in Quang Binh province for 4 years, worked extensively around Phong Nha, saw these caves and yes, local people talk about these creatures and say they live in the caves, the thing is there are a number of rather large caves in the area, the jungle in Phong Nha is very thick a very large part is a protected area not just anyone can go into the park you need to get permission, another thing is, there is proof that these caves are connected to caves in Laos! i was told by one of the British team who originally explored the caves that they suspected this and actually traveled to Laos and found caves in Laos that they thought might connect to the Soong Dong cave system, they found a river in this cave and put dye into it, this dye did show up in the Phong Nha cave system

He comes out gasping about the fxxxing dragon, and there was a 16' stocky beaded lizard build lizard, very dead, Gutierrez killed it. We went into the valley a bit farther,,,but we turned around to make it out before dark. It was weird though, you could tell there were other lizards out there looking, maybe stalking us.😊 Our little sure-foot scout smiled when we returned to the pass, he just smiled that big ol i told ya so smile with his black bettlenut stained teeth, we all kind of chuckled, except Pvt Gutierrez, he just "main giant ass man eating lizard" and wondering if he would get a purple heart if he gets eaten by something, like a big fing lizard,,,

At that time, i brushed it off but because of these stories, i asked him again about his encounter with these creatures. He said these humanoid reptileon beings are about 7 feet tall. He encountered 2 types of the humanoid reptileon beings, one green (more terrifying looks and still sending chills to his body when he thinks about it) and the other is blue ( a slightly better look than the green one).He said these beings doesn't posed any danger. These creatures told my brother that they are in the brink of extinction and are on the run from another gray beings (now this makes me feel really uncomfortable and like an idiot for stating this out loud here).

Guys I can assure you 100% guaranteed that reptilian humanoid beings are absolutely real and have been around much longer than human beings in terms of their origins and existence. This Planet Earth we live on that humanity in general seems to think is ours like we own it or something due to being the most intelligent and successful species of the many that inhabit and occupy it is actually completely false believe it or not. From my own research these reptilian beings claim to be the originators and true natives of the planet and have been mostly living subterranean deep below humanity's feet in complete underground city's that have tunnels interconnected throughout the whole planet where there are also many other types of beings living down there. It sounds crazy I know but trust me there is a shed load of documented accounts recorded throughout the ages that speak about humans interacting with these reptilian beings and mostly about how humanity worshipped them as though they were gods.

The third story is certainly the weirdest one because it seems to point to the idea that the Lizards have a somewhat advanced society going on. They have complex cutting tools to carve out their caves and even clothing that they wear "around the house" as it were. I also noticed that it seemed to be the only one where they weren't glowing. So either aliens, or there are seperate tribes that reside in the same area.

    • @patstokes7040

Also if cutting tools is one thing to consider but where did they get the clothing. Making cloth isn't easy by any means. Even if it's leather, it has to be produced. A naked snake being is much more believable than one with clothing.

See Lacerta Files, it will help explain a bit about how Earth originally was resided for tens of millions of years by the descendants of the Dinosaurs now called Saurins and they were forced to live in underground cavern cities after they fought off bad off-world aliens during the so-called Orion Wars that had creep into our solar system and onto planet Earth. The Saurins are benign reptilian like specie which I suspect the first reptoids in this video was about them because the finger description is similar to what the Saurin named Lacerta said in the interview which she explained the Iguanadon dinosaur hand is really taken from a fossilized hand of her distant ancestor. The Saurins are still alive in their underground cities and have been helping us fight the bad aliens who had enslaved us (Orion Dracos and ancient humans called Abraxans) for past decade which our Earth human ambassador to the Saurins and 35 other local alien species is named Kimberly Goguen. Kimberly has done many interviews, podcasts, and continually give out intel situation reports about the world and beyond at her news website called United Network News.

I am a Navy brat and Navy wife. My father was in Viet Nam three times. He had so.e stories of things he saw that most people wouldn't believe. My father. He wouldn't talk about the things he saw. He had a haunted look to his eyes. When i came home from college, he said letsgo out to the 20:00 We walked out, and he said he had to tell someone, and he knew i could handle it and would believe him. He didn't want to scare my mom or sisters. He told me the things he saw when he had to go into the interior with some of his mechanics to work on aircraft. everything from these things, to giants and what they called "rock apes." I believed him. Years later as a Navy wife I heard of the "lizard people who are supposed to live near Cheyenne Mountain. I have since moved to the mountains of North Carolina. I was warned to avoid the Mammoth Cave system which runs from North Carolina up to Maine. Most of this system has not been explored. There are many unknown entrances and many stories of the "lizard people" who come out at night. Some areas you do not go out at night. The Appalachian Mountains are some of the oldest on Earth. There are many strange things here.

Im not sure if you traded up on your move or not lol, I was born and raised near Asheville and have been collecting stories and folk tales from the Appalachians that goes back to long before the white settlement of the land and although I have never heard a lizard man report closer than coastal SC there are quite a few other cryptids said to reside in these mountains, some are quite unpleasant, I myself am more worried about sirens (or mimics) that disguise themselves as people needing help luring people into the woods never to be seen again, or grabbing them from the water and dragging them in only to drown them.
As long as you know and obey the rules of the forest you will have no problems though.

I forget if the soldiers who shot at them while running were reacting to the lizards approaching them or not, but considering how many gathered round to watch them leave, it could be they were being more territorial protecting a family and home which would explain why, when out and about they just ignore the humans.

Furthermore, it is almost CERTAIN that what IS known of the cave and been mapped & explored is only a fraction of the entire system. As for whether it is the abode of draconian lizard folk, or Batman, Fred Flintstone, or Hubert the Happy Homo, we may never know. One thing we CAN be as sure as shit sticks to a blanket, it's a weird world. Interesting times are ALWAYS found Here and Now. Anytime one not only looks, but Sees.
Often what we DON'T see, is more telling than what we DO see. .. Be that as it may, and that said, I personally neither believe nor disbelieve. Because I simply lack ALL the facts needed to form an opinion on this topic. I'm not qualified nor comfortable drawing conclusions with so little to go on. I'm comfortable to temporarily suspend judgement.
Listening to what the "world at large" is saying without presumption is of great assistance in briefly disabling judgement, and or ANY doubt I might have, about the unknown, so that it may be possible to learn some thing...or if for no reason than for entertainment purposes. if I Ever find opportunity to do so I can live with whatever the wind blows in. Hopefully it is the truth. It's as much as I ask.
~ Good work Luke ...Another Great Video episode.

People live in contradictions. They will say they won't believe something exists unless they see it. In reality, the vast majority of what most people admit to exist came from secondary information. They are people who stick their finger up to see which way the wind is blowing before they speak.

@@prioris55555 I think You are very correct. In other words most will draw conclusions before having sufficient factual evidence to support them. I think because of limits of mental acumen, exp. edu. etc - People tend toward belief for convenience, as a substitute for factual knowledge. It's understandable in a way. Real knowledge takes time, is hard WORK. It requires being wrong most of the time. SO - They will spend a LOT of energy convincing themselves by repetition, and aggressively to others...Religion ? I see it constantly, people don't really want to learn, they want confirmation of what they already believe or things that align with them.
~It's easier to just wing it, and try to get laid and make it by other means, and just try not to give it away by acting like a TOTAL Fkn GOOF Buffoon. They'll all fall for it, if they are the same way. ...-Re: Why the world is in SERIOUS peril.../\

I feel like stories similar to this will be coming out about OEF/OIF. There are already a good number out there from some vets. But, as some of the lifers who joined at the beginning are hitting their 20 year mark and will start retiring, they'll hopefully feel free to share their experiences. I never deployed myself, but I served alongside many who did. There was some truly messed up stuff that happened in Afghanistan and Iraq. I'm positive we haven't heard the end of it from those troops.

Hangar 2 in Katterbach, Germany (hell, the entire post) is haunted. It was the prior home of the Condor Legion, and they held funerals in there. We used to see German Soldiers out of the corner of our eyes mirroring us when we would do security checks in there at night. It got to the point where we would give notice on entering at night so the "other guards" would know what we were doing. One of my Troops came screaming down the hall one night while I was on SDNCO all freaked out because "someone" sat down on his bed, shook him awake, spoke to him in German and then turned on his stereo. He stayed up the rest of the night with me. Our BDE CSM and his wife were awakened by an old German woman at the foot of their bed in their quarters one night. He couldn't move back in until his wife had the place exorcised and blessed. He was not at all happy.

@@jameswells554 That's intense. Thank you for sharing. While I was stationed in Fort Rucker, AL, I discovered that my unit area was (allegedly) a place where they tested weaponry. The room where we stored a lot of our gear still had a mount for larger crew served weapons, and according to rumor, the drains in the center of the floor were for cleaning the messes created when testing weapons on pig carcasses.
Though I never had any odd experiences, and none of my friends did, we all talked about just how scary it was doing night checks in the building while being CQ. I've only been in a few other buildings in my life that felt as off as that place did.

11:15 There are quite a few parallels here with similar stories from the deep woods of North America. Cave entrances or underground passages with a putrid stench,a distant rumbling sound caused by some sort of unseen machinery,as well as all of it being clearly excavated by something intelligent.

My dad was in the Vietnam war and would see spirits hanging off the trees in the jungle. So many of them don’t like to go into the jungle and if possible prefer to sleep outside it.
