Love the return to the dark and gritty theme, suits Gears much more than the vibrant and super colorful theme of Gears 5

Especially cause its E-Day. Only worse day for humanity in the Gears of War setting is probably the Hammer of Dawn strikes. But E-Day should be dark, its a nightmare. A quarter of humanity killed in a single day, the skies inked and darkened so kryll swarms can devour entire cities whole even in the day. Colorful, saturated bullshit would ruin this and I'm glad the devs have openly talked about going back the more horror and haunting roots of Gears of War 1
