I am really glad to see my boy Dom back. But at the same time unprepared of what Gears of War: E-Day has in stored for us. From what I recalled, Dom and Maria lost their children on Emergency Day which led up to his wife fell in despair and leave Jacinto. The rest we know what happens in Gears 1 & 2.
Even though we not get a chance to see the Pendulum Wars (other than from the novels and comics), Emergency Day is the one event I am so dying to explore ever since the very first Gears of War game came out in 2006… and it sets 14 years before Dom broke Marcus out of prison.
When that piano hit I flew back in time of watching that commercial for the first time on TV and it totally captivated me. I didn't even care what an Xbox was. I had a PlayStation. I had to get one and find out what the heck that game is about. Life changing moment for me. And indeed the game had emotional depth just as this trailer and song presented. Also balled my eyes out when Dom died in gears of war 3.
Maria in 2...Dom in 3...the devs said they are going to touch on Carlos(Doms brother) death and the bond between Marcus and Dom. Idk if you know but during this Dom and Marias kids fall into an E-Hole and are torn apart by Wretches...

That song MAD WORLD always makes me emotional. Such a powerful song.
I love the synth they added to mad world really works for this trailer.
Mad world olaying gives me hope that this is made by fand and people who knew the old games hope theres a collectors edition
