I used to play competitively, my team even won Meadowlands one year (I was just a kid so I couldn’t travel with them). Would love to get back into playing, I never had fun with another game like I had fun with Gears.

Awesome upload bro this is the best game in the series for me, the fact this game still looks visually beautiful is insane for a 2006 release. Nice for newer players to see the routes of gears of war and what it’s really all about.
It's how it really fits the aesthetic of the mid 2000s shooter (muddy grey aesthetic) but it fits gears so well. The barebones squad shooter makes it really hold up on gears 1. The 60fps is also too good, it easily has the best aesthetic + gameplay combo.
Crazy to think gears will be 20 years old in just 2 more years!

Nothing compares to the Gears of War multiplayer experience. Trash talking, 1v4s , the adrenaline is unmatched. Best times ever. Warzone over Execution in this game though for sure

Man, nostalgia runs deep within a game like this. I always loved playing Annex and racking up like 30-40 kills a game. It was so much fun, I’m just glad I was able to experience this game from the very start.

My second ever online game was Gears of War, right next to Halo 2. Hooked ever since. It is now 2023.
2006 when GoW released. I was 13. I so amazed by the game and was hooked instantly. Went to MLG event and played online Tournaments. The nostalgia

Best gow in the series besides maybe gow 3. Dark and gritty feel was just different. It wasn't perfect but this game was just too much fun
