    Really Need just discovered this from a post on Reddit. It's really too bad it can't be powered from either end I could see it being stuck in a rack next to the mixer with the power brick but I'm guessing that design doesn't allow powering it from the other end. This would also make an interesting POE Dante endpoint. But I'm thinking both of those would require a revision and or new version.

    Another slightly strange question: what would be the correct way to use this with a balanced mono output from the console, rather than the stereo headphone out? Would wiring up an XLR-F to TRS(Hot, Hot, Cold or Hot, Hot, Cold&Ground) adapter work?

      @mix-record-connect9938  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can certainly do this. It does not matter where the signal comes from to the 2 inputs.

    Hey Danny, might this mean that a solution for connecting a WSG server might be in the pipeline - seems like an excellent solution for keeping artists in step with the FOH!! Excited to see what you and your team produce!! Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

      well, in small setups, if your server and IO are on stage and you don't need to record MTK or process audio on FOH side, this will work with SG at 100mbps. Not recommended in reality, but if the laptop is just controlling the MIX and NO AUDIO on that link, it works ok.

    Hi Danny! Slightly strange question: am I correct in assuming that both boxes pass the Ethernet signal through passively from the Ethernet port to the Link port (and that there'd be nothing to stop someone from using those two pairs for more analogue audio, with the right adapters)? Thanks!

      Had similar thoughts. Guessing they're just stealing the 2 pairs and dropping the connection down to 100mb.

    This is pretty schweet! Would love an XLR version for the mic side of things or a built-in mic on the control station.
    Also would be neat to use IP on the A-B connection so maybe a wireless connection would work since a stage rack is usually used in a wireless situation.

    Hey there - I just ordered such a thing for my UI24R. The HP-connections are stereo for sure, but can you tell me if the microphone in- & outs are balanced?

    • @imark7777777

      Well no reply but from what I've been reading they are balanced.

    Why couldn't you guys make a control surface for the ui24r.
    It would be great

      Isn't it main goal of this mixer to be surfaceless?

    • @EchotechbyABI
      @EchotechbyABI 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that's the main goal but what if someone needs a surface so that he can manage to mix on a live concert

    • @mix-record-connect9938
      @mix-record-connect9938  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@JMSiwczynski why? The mixer itself does not come with a surface but depending on what kind of show you are doing you may have both a static FOH location and a remote ability at the same time as well as wanting to use a larger touch screen (which is a surface in effect)

    • @JMSiwczynski

      Well actually maybe in some cases this would be a really nice idea then! :-) I was just being stupid, thinking all the people are using ui24 the same way as I do now (which is multiple tablets with my band). So I still think that key features for ME (earlier here was mistake!- once again- I was stupid) were: small size, and Ui24 being surfaceless. Great dedicated surface, would be really awesome in many cases! :)
      I was using Ur24 since when it only came out, and it never failed me. Great mixer. Sorry for bad english, I'm not native.

    Hey Danny. At first: Thank you so much for your Videos. Always great to improve on the ui24.
    I have a question regarding the TLC. My ui24 is in the Studio, connected to the Audio i/o Device which then goes to a switch upstairs, whre also the internet is connected to. at the other End connected to the A/B LAN Port, there is the receiving Device, which is the connected over Ethernet Out to my Mac. Internet works, i can use the ui24 interface, BUT: there is only a humming on my Headphones. My Question: do i have to adjust anything inside the Router? Are there any Ports recommended for the Audio over Ethernet, that need to be set? Or is only working if i have a direct Ethernet Connectin between the two TLC Devices? That would be only possible, if i connect a second ethernet Cable to the recording room..at the moment the ui24 is a DHCP Client in my network. Can you help me with this? (or anyone else?) Would be great!

    • @mix-record-connect9938
      @mix-record-connect9938  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, You can't use the TLC via a router, only directly to the Ui24R via the TLC small black box. After the TLC you can connect to your router and share all the computers on the internet with the Ui24 . So Ui24R into the small black box then directly to the TLC main unit, from there connect to router (from the Ethernet port on it)

    I would suggest following:
    Power-Adapter should be on the Stage-Side
    There is no power-adapter for plugs in switzerland. The european adapter does not work.

    • @mix-record-connect9938
      @mix-record-connect9938  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      what do you mean the European adapter does not work?

    • @ottobaer
      @ottobaer 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mix-record-connect9938 There is a norm in europe with a diameter of 4mm for the metallic part of the plug. The adaptor for the power supply who has been deliverd has a diameter of 4.8mm witch fits only in some german power sockets (SCHUKO). For most coutries in europe you should deliver an adaptor who is compatible to "Eurostecker" www.elektrofachkraft.de/sicheres-arbeiten/der-schukostecker-und-seine-besonderheiten
