  • A real-time print of the bracket used to hold the LED strip accessory. The video is unedited however audio is cut in a few sections due to conversations. There are close up shots of the part at the end of the video.
    The calibration and leveling process does take a while (~5-6mins) but it's a process that seems safe to be left unattended so you can prep/do other things before checking on the print.
    The P1P is my first Bambu Lab product and I am really satisfied with it thus far. It's eerie and almost underwhelming that I DON'T have to fiddle with the printer lol.

    Awesome printing video! I am watching this video while my two printers are working beside me. Why am I like this lol.

    I love mine. it does have drawbacks, the speed can be a liability for multiple small parts. Ive been using a brim to combat that. also the noise is crazy. but its the best FDM printer ive ever owned and I think the speed is an amazing draw for me.

      Oh I agree but its quickly shaped up to be my favorite printer so far. Also if you have the aux part cooling fan, you can change your 'layer time' from 8secs to 4secs as well as a few other misc things to match the X1 speeds! But yeah even though the noise and vibrations are crazy it's amazing that it's still accurate

    My X1C Combo is arriving tomorrow! I'm so excited about it. FYI, your P1P looks to be traveling faster than the frame rate of your camera being used can capture it. Wow. Just wow.

      Congrats on getting the new printer! How are you finding it? My experience with the p1p has been so good that i really want to go for the X1C next but that'll have to wait :)
      Oh yeah, I didn't think too much about the recording either, I just propped up my phone and hit record!

    In your opinion or anyone reading this who owns one, how loud is it? I understand why it is but would like some further knowledge on the actual loudness of it. Like, is it so loud you don’t want to be in the same room with it or loud as in, you don’t want to have a skype meeting with it printing?

    • @maryckbuilds
      @maryckbuilds  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm slightly biased as I like the sound of machines whirring in the background, but not so loud it's a distraction.
      I'd say during the daytime it's a non-issue, it hasn't been an issue for zoom/discord calls but you definitely can't sleep in the same room/could be a distraction to others

    ok, but using bambu Studio it takes 42 minutes with pla. It doesn't matter if you change speeds from the slicer, always 42 minutes. Some one know why? (maximum volumetric speed 21 m3)

    I just ordered the X1 Carbon, and I'm pretty disappointed it didn't come with the PEI powder coated sheet as default. If the P1P comes with it, the top of the line model should as well. I understand the Lidar has trouble with the surface of the PEI powder coating, but I still think they should ship with one.

    • @maryckbuilds
      @maryckbuilds  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree. I've thought about it and have concluded that it could just be an early adopter tax; the lidar is great for ABSOLUTE hands off performance but the benefits (to me atleast) are marginal for what you have to give up to get it to work.
      If anything, since lidar use is optional on the X1, the extra PEI sheet wouldn't have hurt. I really believe the P1P is the better value for most folk and I'll wait for their next Gen printers before I go top of the line. Happy printing!

      @@maryckbuilds I agree. I almost bought the P1P too... Only reason I bought the X1 Carbon is because I have a sickness where no printer is good enough in my mind. I end up taking them apart and redesigning them which is pointless in most cases. I am really hoping I dont have that urge with the X1 since its a pretty rounded machine.

    So how fast is this for high quality realistically?

    • @maryckbuilds
      @maryckbuilds  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In all honesty, the stock speeds (which is what's depicted in the video) are more than enough for regular everyday printing. You can tune to get a bit more speed and quality, but to me, it's less than a 10% improvement over stock.
      Also, if you really wanted you could slow the printer all the way down to get as clean as a print you want. The extruder is well designed imo and though I haven't had a need to change the stock nozzle yet, if you get the smaller ones, I imagine the stock profiles would be fine too

    love it? can't make my mind up on p1p or x1c ...ugh

    • @magneyboy1
      @magneyboy1 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I went with the p1p, and it arrived today, I am unfortunately not home but the reason I went with the p1p is because I have seen some great case kits for it, specifically the vision enclosure that uses 3mm PA panels to create an enclosure for higher ambient air temp prints that should bring the p1p on par with the x1 on print type and materials compatibility, minus materials that are abrasive like pacf.

    • @maryckbuilds
      @maryckbuilds  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup, I love the machine! The x1c imho is beneficial if you want the extra features but realistically the p1p will cover 90% of use cases. Very reliable and of course fast!

    • @maryckbuilds
      @maryckbuilds  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @krazymaton if you got the auxiliary fan, when you install it, you will need to adjust the layer time for materials so it can match x1c speeds
