Back on my GI health maintenance plan: Started taking probiotics again this month, plus I'm mindfully controlling my cortisol levels, no muscle straining exercise, plus I'm on my regular supplements. I can cautiously eat bread/gluten again! 🎉 There is no negative impact on my eyes 🎉 . It should rule out what little impact candida has on my body, too. I'm on a garlic supplement, too, as part of my extended winter anti-inflammatory plan.
Did you have symptoms in your eyes from gluten? I thought I was the only one! It took me decades to figure out it was gluten making my eyes hurt, because I never had digestive problems so I never considered cutting out gluten.
Excellent video, one point i would maybe add would be for anyone who has chronic case of candida or seems to go around in circles (few steps forwards/few steps backwards) could well be the underlying cause has not been addressed or found - mold/mould being a big point especially if people have been living in mold for many years, some without ever knowing it. "MPA is an immunosuppressant which inhibits the proliferation of B and T lymphocytes. MPA exposure can increase the risk of opportunistic infections such as Clostridia and Candida" "Even low levels of exposure to macrocyclic trichothecenes can cause severe neurological damage, immunosuppression, endocrine disruption, cardiovascular problems, and gastrointestinal distress" Lastly - whilst there is the typical 'candida' diet, most people with candida and gut infections often need to follow more than one diet - for instance candida diet as staple, but then also low histamine and low oxalate diet to reduce inflammation and promote even more gut healing, so whilst one item might be ok for one diet it may still cause problems for the individual if they have more than just candida going on which most people do, so not only does someone need to follow a typical candida diet they also need to then fine tune and tailor the diet further for the individual.
Dr. Michael Ruscio, you are the best Dr in case of gutproblems. I am still working on it, but I am far in the process. Many other doctors are far away from your knowledge. Unbelievable respect for you. Thanks for sharing all information about IBS and further. I am watching it ❤
Back in the early 90's i read a book called The Yeast Connection. I realized back then as a teenager that i had Candida. I was 11 when i had my first and only antibiotic. By the time i hit puberty and High School, i had vaginal yeast infections, constant gas, skin problems, itchy anis, athletes foot, and was diagnosed having reactive hypoglycemia. I was constantly tired, nasel drip, had shoulder/back spasims. At the age of 25 gallbladder removed. I tried to eat a healthy diet. Now i am carnivore and health is getting better
I am new to the idea that I may have candida of the gut after being tested with OAT test. My dr wanted me to try a candida diet which I started implementing 3 days ago. My huge problem is that I only weigh 88 lbs due to the fact that I’ve been micro tapering from a very long and hard benzodiazepine med given me 30 yrs ago … and have a long way to go (perhaps 1 to 1/5 yrs. This has been an ongoing process as I had 2 failed taper attempts b/c drs do not understand the process and kept putting me back on the benzo - even updosing me. I’m 69 and I really had no health issues to speak of until I started tapering in 2020. Do you have any thoughts or anyone else under your care have candida as a result of the taper process of this iatrogenic script given me for essential tremor? Needless to say, stress brought about by the process has been great, but I am very concerned that I cannot get enough to eat of the candida diet as I am nauseous most of the day. Sorry so long ….
Im following your videos since my 4 weeks Treatment. You are helping me feeling not alone during these Phase of healing. Thank you so much Dr. Michael Ruscio. The Doctors/Proktologist/Gastroenterologist in Germany unfortunately dont have time for an individual Anamnese etc. I really had to inform and treat my self. What do you think should I quit with Creatine during these Phase? Would you recommend a low carb diet in a examina phase where I have to deal with stress or should I live a "normal" life and start the treatment after the Examina? How long does it take until you decrease candida overgrowth when you make a strict low carb diet, taking Probiotics and making after antimykotikum an antimikrobia treatment with oregano oil as aftermath treatment? I have so many Questions because I got an appointment on a gastroenterologist not until 2 Months. And I just want to know if Im on the right track, because my Symptoms not getting much better. Thank you again for this evidence based work! Youre the best! Grüße from Germany Jamie
I had precious puberty as a child I now have PCOS as an adult along with hormone issues. I have been diagnosed with methane sibo.. Is there any correlation between all of these? I'm desperately trying to figure out the Underlying issues with my gut health. Thank you for any help!
Does candida effect Thyroid also? I got fungal infection after COVID AND since then my tsh level always stays between 8 to 15 I took itraconazole and felt good for few days but after that it came back and till now its effecting my body There is a slight pain in the left and right side of my thyroid Symtoms - thin hairs - cough - pain in legs and arms - brain fog - tiredness - mood swings - pain in chest ( sternum)
Dr. Ruscio Thx for such great info . I just read the book “ unraveling candidiasis” it talks about how immune reactions to disease causing yeast contribute to the symptoms and may not always go away with just treatment of of infection ? Do you treat immune reactions separately in addition to the infection?
Didn't you say in anothher video that it doesn't matter in some people how much carbs they consume? Here you're saying that peope should eat not that much carbs?

It’s amazing how our bodies give us small hints as to what’s going on

There certainly can be, though it’s difficult to make generalizations.
