Getting my first adult female viper boa tomorrow through FedEx glad to see ur content looking up as much as I can I know so much but u can always learn more sepsically from 7yrs of experience
Yep I watching your older video's.. I love it.. You still look the same.. I'm want to get I'm to viper boas.. Not for breeding .. It's so cool you are in Thailand now. I wish I was their..
I just wanted to let you know I enjoy your videos. Although I also breed morphs, I also like a lot of 'not-so-known" species. Please continue with Reptile Reallity :-) Josua Hannink from the Netherlands (Europe)
Definitely when you see red on a jungle reptile that's a "stayyyy away" sign, luckily with the viper boa it's harmless. It would be interesting to know why the red pattern came into their evolution.
Hi. Just got my very first viper boa. He’s still in his quarantine tub at the moment. He is incredibly! I’ve got him setup the same as my Solomon island ground boa and that is working will for him. Is this the right track to follow?
Yes but they like more humidity and even can be aquatic. Take a look at some of our Papua videos where we found them in water in ambush mode. When mine soak I feed them at the edge of the water bowls.
They definitely look like rough death adders, what type of substrate would you recommend for them ?Also come buy a house in the Pocono Mountains so I can see all these totally freaking awesome species
Man I'm back to 10-year-old videos reminds me of the old snake bites tv videos, 😂 I just got an offer to proven pair im looking for as much information as i can find 😂 the previous breeder has given me lots of advice but I'm still trying to learn as much as possible
I know this video is a old one. But last year i picked up 2 of these viper boas unfortunately 1 of them died after 2 months. But the second one is thriving and eats roughly once a month. The 1 that died refused to eat and i think it died from not eating
I don't see any difference in the amount of care for any snake. They are all the same, the only thing that differs is cage size, cage type and food type. Beyond that they are all snakes that require the same amount of care.
While they are heavy bodied, their actual heads are very small and they are not very long. 24" is large for a viper boa and a rat fuzzy is as big as I would go. Thanks for watching.
You missed us by a year. In 2020 we sold 100+ viper boas. At the year's end we moved to Thailand. We are back in the states now for a couple of months but unsure if we will have viper boas to offer(other stuff yes).
Small prey is best for this type of snake. The pray should be smaler than its head. You can cause problems with to big of rodent, or it can kill your snake. This boa is not venomous. Lots of people think it is, because of the head shape, and viper in its name. These snakes are another type of boa constritor.
Very basic animals…tropical substrate and tropical temps. Breeding you just put them together randomly and see what happens. They come from a region with very stable annual temps and breed year round.
Those are a LOT calmer than I was led to believe, especially for field collected. Very interesting.

Always loved viper boas. Just never seen them for sale that often.
the viper boas look just like sand boas, u can tell by the shovel nose and eyes on top its head that they burrow a lot
i know this was seven years ago and all but they absolutely do not look like sand boas lmao
Your intro is awesome!!

@@DMExotics thanks for your response and advice 👍
You know you're crushing my soul by not having any red babies from these guys available for me, right? lol
can I ask would a 3ft vivarium be okay house one of these or can you go smaller ?.
For an adult male, yes. That's plenty big.

Are they easier to care for than wolf snakes or is it the other way around?

Ok thanks
Wild caught come in loaded with parasites. What do u do to eradicate?
how do people dislike these videos
OMG the first one is so cute
Why such a small prey item for heavy bodied snake?
And thanks for taking time to make these videos.Awesome info.
