@@KyleAndersonSkates See a sensible guess. Why would chat need a button to be enabled. It would be software driven. I guess cursor activation would be a personal choice at a given time.
Being a square button, like the capture button, I assume it does something to the screen in some way - unlike the circular home button that navigates the console. Could be screen sharing, but that feels too infrequent to dedicate a button to. I wouldn't be surprised if it's some kind of "connect" button, but who knows. Also, won't the next MK be called Mario Kart 10/X? Tour was considered 9, and companies HATE using 9 in titles (iPhone 9 never existed). In most cases, if someone sees a product with a 9, they say "I'll just wait for the 10 because that one's probably going to be a big deal". Love the updates. Trust me, you've gotta ignore the negative comments and keep doing what you love ✌
I'm sure C doesn't stand for anything. A Japanese console going to so many regions around the world they wouldn't make it short for an English word. Their use of C buttons and sticks in the past didn't stand for anything.
@@jessewhite517 I have thought about this too. But maybe they will still do this because the English market is big. Also many Japanese companies, like Sony, make cameras and they all use Roman English letters for their mode dials and custom buttons. This wouldn’t be the first time a foreign company has utilized Roman letters.
@amarachibigelow8178 other than the universally know L and R give me one example on a Nintendo, Playstation or Xbox controller does a button letter stand for anything. None. C was used a few times before when did it stand for anything? Never.

During this torturous time that has been waiting for the release, I can confidently say that the funniest and dumbest rumor of them all has to be the mouse function for the joycons lol Can’t believe people truly think that’s going to be a thing
Nate doesn't believe the chatter about there being no game footage. Remember that with the original Switch 1 trailer, that all of the footage was added in post-production, no one working on it would have actually seen anything.
I once met Mario when he first got into the Plumbing game… he told me Switch 2 will be revealed tomorrow, and switch original will go on sale for 30% off on Saturday.
Would love to see a follow up video analyzing which leaks ended up being correct. We’ve heard constant rumors for years now and it’d be nice to review which were true and which weren’t after it’s revealed.
I always understand “hardware focus” as meaning there won’t be any reveal of a new game. This was the same in Switch1, most of the games in the initial reveal were existing games that had been released/revealed for another platform: BOTW, Skyrim, Mario Kart 8, NBA 2K17. (The only new game shown was Odyssey but Nintendo didn’t talk about it till the following year). I think the same here. There are already plenty of games they can choose from to showcase Switch2 with (TOTK, Metroid Prime 4, Xenoblade X, RDR2, FF7, CoD, MGS, etc). They probably won’t be revealing new games in the same presentation, which makes sense.
I've never seen a good use for dual screens. The Wii U came close, with the possibility for innovative asymmetric multiplayer, but never pulled it off properly. Usually it's just, like, a map or something. Pokémon, for example, only ever used a second screen for menus, right? Unless you include the thing where they let you pet your Pokémon with a stylus, which isn't necessary with motion control or a single touch screen. I would love to be proved wrong. Please let me know of a good application for the dual screen gimmick.
Its an interesting idea but i think its not the most practical thing. Imagine the power consumption to cast sumthin on TV while on same time use the screem for interface. Its just not power efficient at all i think. They shud choose either one. Plus we need stylus for that
Not really, PS5 has a mic button on the controller, so it makes sense. Easy mic on/ off on the controller and something that overlays and jumps straight to telling the homie to hop online.
Honestly, I'd be excited at the simple prospect of Nintendo actually finally implementing system-wide voice chat. Hell, the current Switch has zero communication abilities built into it - not even a basic messaging system - not even for those on your Friends List!

I thought the same thing initially but when I thought about it, it's just a button and I think it's being over hyped. NONE of the system wide buttons do ANYTHING that's super exciting so we shouldn't really be hyped at all about a system wide button. If this was a 'playable' button THAT would be exciting!

Even if Nintendo don’t reveal games, the third parties will. They will be desperate to get their games announced, so as soon as S2 is announced, the floodgates will open
If it can emulate new gen games like on the steamdeck i.e games like imo Ghost of Tsushima, wukong, and not just Nintendo IP's at a perfect framerate then yes it will get bought out heck if they could fix arkham knight and hogwarts legacy like the ps5 and not heat up the system then I would buy for sure it's wishful thinking but if they do that well then damn
Stop whining. Yes, you can be too dramatic, but it's YOUR channel. So yeah, DO NOT apologize. It's a sign of weakness, and it will be used against you.
C…it could be “Campus” or “Chat.” And having a dedicated button for chat would be pretty new. To start it up on Playstation or Xbox, you’re still going through menus. Whereas if Nintendo has a chat/campus button, you click that button and only one menu “who do you want to invite?” Another thing that C could be, since there’s been the rumors of being able to connect to the dock wirelessly, is Connect. At which point if there are games with two screen functionality or there’s (3)DS and Wii U emulation coming to NSO for Switch 2, that would be a way to handle the two screens. Another thing C could be, since there’s been talk about turning on some of the bigger features for Switch 2 on even in handheld, is Charge. Which toggles between the performance mode for a game (60 fps, but not every feature is going to be on) and a Quality mode (DLSS, raytracing, 30 fps).
If that sensor on the inside of the joycon is in fact a mouse then that C button must be away of using that mouse function when in handheld mode. Are we even sure it's a button? I'm thinking it could be a small trackball or that old button mouse knub thing we used to have in old laptops.
I think the C button stands for Capture. Similar to the create button on the PS5, it will allow us to take pictures, screen shots and post videos of live gameplay. Nintendo already proved they don't understand voice chat with the Switch Online app. Only a few games even used it, and it was a pointless feature since everyone can just use Discord or other more dedicated services.
@lijiang1342 I'm not talking about the button on the joycon that let's you record 10-15 seconds of gameplay. I'm talking about a dedicated button like the PS5 has.
@@JFord257isn't the current button a dedicated capture button? I see them upgrading the functionality in that one in any case but having two separate capture buttons is a bit redundant imo
@mishterkirby Personally, I never found the current one to be all that dedicated. You have to hold it down for a few seconds to start recording. It's more confusing than anything since you don't know exactly when and what it's recording, and you can't redo it while you're playing. Even posting screen shots to social media requires logging in to Facebook everytime. It's more inconvenient than anything.
@@JFord257 well, it's dedicated in the sense that it only takes screenshots and videos, the UX is just bad Which again, could be fixed in software rather than adding a new button.

@@unOrigiNikyou care way too much about these moments. Nothing matters before this is revealed other than Nate’s reputation. These guys have to say something to get clicks. It’s their jobs. It’s all in good fun. This is not serious stuff. Anyone can be a critic of TH-camrs. They are doing what works or you crumble.
@@Ray-dl5mpYappilations 3 : 16. Ease up bro. Having it this bad for some guy that does not know you in defense of a guy that definitely does not know you is a really bad look. Have a good day though.
@ lol. It’s called being a normal human being. Call out weird negativity. It’s what we need more of in society. It’s a great look. Try it sometime. You care way too much what others think. Positivity wins.
@ Another mile-long reply says otherwise. I don’t think you really read what I said at all, but I digress. As I said, have a nice day. :)
All the reports say it's simply a hardware reveal so it's not you being negative, just a realist
C Button stands for capture and its a screenshot button. Nothing Special. Same as any other controller
You're always super positive, I love the channel!
One thing I have noticed you need to bring the mic closer to you I have brand new HDTV Soundbar top-notch LG the whole nine yards super sound system the thing is I have to turn up to hear you at about 25 26 or 27 volume setting. The reason I say this is whenever it goes to a commercial the advertising the volumes cranked on the commercials versus your channel so that's the only reason I really mention it to turn it down for the commercials cuz it's super loud.
Anyways, I'm super hyped for Switch 2!
Personally, I look forward to your videos man! 😀
Switchforce 2 electric boogaloo
So excited for this console. I'm ready to preorder! Been watching your videos on and off since before the Switch was released. The hype is still here the second time around!
Lame. I would rather it be “cast” so we can maybe have a secret screen like the WiiU
I like keeping my switch on Airplane mode
I miss the 3DS, DS etc days as cool as it is MGS Delta will be on Switch 2. I've already got a PS5 for that, I'd much sooner Konami did Lunar Knights, stuff that was only on the handheld and why I want one.
why has Nintendo ALWAYS been awful at online stuff
3rd party day & date you say & we still see "Download required" which is not what we want so don't expect 3rd party support like you think.
I just want the release date. I already know I'll be playing my time at evershine and fantasy life i on it.
isn't that just replacing the capture button?
U guys r right it been8 years for the switch n the year of march of2025 because the switch was released n the year of 2017and we don't count the year of2017the first year of the switch was 2018for the anniversary for the first year release so it been at7years the switch and the switch2 will last tell the year of 2034or maybe longer tell the year of2035for the last year of the switch and switch2tell the next handheld console n release tell the year of 2034and I hope the switch2will cost like around$400to$450 instead of$500 and the switch2storage I want is256gb of storage so the switch2can play more triple AAA games like GTA5OR GTA6and I hope the switch2will last10 more years and I hope the battery life will last tell5to 8hours on the switch2of battery life and I hope the switch2will last for10 years tell the year of2034 and I want is a Dragon ball daima Dlc for Dragon ball XENOVERSE2or Dragon ball XENOVERSE3for the switch and a switch2 n2025or2026release for Dragon ball Daima dlc for Dragon ball XENOVERSE2 or Dragon ball XENOVERSE3for the switch and switch2and be the9year n March3 2026
why wouldn't the button be a chat bubble
Does this guy ever respond to anyone? I was reading comments and theres alot of good ones but not 1 response 😐
Im leaning towards it being a chat button as well, and have since the original leak. Although the idea of a cast button could make sense as well, so the switch 2 could be used similarly to the wii u.
Already bought Metaphor on Steam. I still prefer to have a game card for great titles like that one
Supossibly it's community, not cookie but allso group chat...
C…it could be “Campus” or “Chat.” And having a dedicated button for chat would be pretty new. To start it up on Playstation or Xbox, you’re still going through menus. Whereas if Nintendo has a chat/campus button, you click that button and only one menu “who do you want to invite?”
Another thing that C could be, since there’s been the rumors of being able to connect to the dock wirelessly, is Connect.
I think the Discord integration might be added in later.
If that sensor on the inside of the joycon is in fact a mouse then that C button must be away of using that mouse function when in handheld mode. Are we even sure it's a button? I'm thinking it could be a small trackball or that old button mouse knub thing we used to have in old laptops.
needs Monster hunter wilds and GTA or i sleep
I think the C button stands for Capture. Similar to the create button on the PS5, it will allow us to take pictures, screen shots and post videos of live gameplay. Nintendo already proved they don't understand voice chat with the Switch Online app. Only a few games even used it, and it was a pointless feature since everyone can just use Discord or other more dedicated services.
There is already a capture button
@@JFord257 well, it's dedicated in the sense that it only takes screenshots and videos, the UX is just bad
Which again, could be fixed in software rather than adding a new button.
Fair play to you Kyle for addressing the perpetually unfounded range found in every comment box
Hey man I'm with you it's way better to keep your hype in check. Idk what changed with you but it seems like your channel is more mature now which is great. Before it seemed too happy and bubbly which made me not watch for awhile but you seem more based and I think your channel will grow because of it. Keep it up man you're on the right track.
