yea, i really am quite worried they seemingly want to go through with that. we need more tanks and they need fun and easy beginner tanks to get into it.
Reduced frequency of tank busters is huge! This was one of the first things I noticed when I started doing dungeons in TWW. Everything is a tank buster and it’s going off so fast and often that I cannot respond adequately because there’s so much other things I have to manage that I don’t have a defensive for those abilities. Stone vault alone was horrible then Grim Batol. Always felt like I was attempting to pay attention to a 1000 things in a few seconds.
I respect them for giving the minecart event a fair shot, but I would have liked even just a single sentence like "Hey we know that this is a big worry for players but we are committed to get it in a spot where it doesn't make the dungeon feel miserable" so they have an out to just nuke the whole thing if push comes to shove and people don't have to wonder if it's gonna be a shitshow on release.
Assuming they make actual changes and not just .1% it will be exactly what was needed. The issue with the minecart currently is that the candle burns way to fast and even at max % the light radius is way to short. As long as they reasonably slow down the burn and increase the radius it'll no longer be an issue.

I agree that thinking more tanks nerfs is pessimism but I honestly think that not being overly optimistic when it comes to M+ is a good thing - blizzard employees clearly don’t play past +2s with all the changes they made this season
SO explain this to me like I'm a three year old... Im a Prot Paladin tanking priory, their Paladin casts consecration, i cast my consecration on top of it, we both stand in it but I die faster..... My GTFO was an air raid siren during priory early in the season
The change to casts sounds good...but i wonder which spells they are targeting. I.E. Ara Kara web mages: poison cast tickles and web bolts chunk but poison cast is (i imagine) the "dangerous" one
hey what iffff some stops could be damage-based? deal x damage to the mob and the cast stops? the environment-based interrupts are great, like in neltharus for example... but having to just push a key for a generic interrupt ability (super frequently) is pretty flavorless.
Mortal strike on trash packs was absolutely nefarious. I think a lot of people like m+ because its big pulls, where they can do big damage. MS makes it much harder for us tanks to pull multi-packs. Reminds of necrotic weeks back in SL, where you either became a kiting god, or just didn't play that week.
just remove the overlap of interupts!! half of the interupts i do in pugs is 0.2 sec after someone else interupted and i get the cooldown. Puggs are not coordinated enough to mark and assign stops and it ruins the hole point of trying to do interupt
Ok, you got me with the title, I entered expecting death penalty reverted to 5sec or the 12% of 12s and forward removed but yeah, I guess they did something
Keep in mind anything thats a 0.01% upgrade from before is still worthy of a blue post in their eyes. M+ is and will stay dead until there's a complete 180 of design choice.
they will find a way to make the season insufferable for all the tanks.
Now just need them to revert the Prot warrior nerfs

Will they nerf paladin?
Paladin needs buffed especially dps. We can’t get in any high keys.
Reduction of casts within the dungeons is a Paladin nerf. We'll be able to bring along a tank that has less than 15 kicks per minute.
