On the new swirlies: Blizzard severely underestimates average DPS players if they think they wont run IMMEDIATELY into the center of a blue circle instead of out of it. (Myself included.) Did Blizzard run out of red ink? Or what's the logic behind them being blue?
Most of the videos I've seen showcasing DRIVE have a single car driving around on the narrow roads of Undermine. What kind of traffic jam is going to happen with all the players driving around at the same time? Even if there is no collision between players, it's going to be pretty chaotic.

HOLD up, the new lightning bolt animation is perfect it feels like Thor throwing lightning, the "instant" animation was always off putting coming from what was the Cataclysm version (which was better than the instant version). This is WoW we have wizards, gnomes, Orcs, people who shift into Moonkins, if I wanna throw my bolt of lightning then I will. There is also the fact that with that change it far more closely resembles the lava burst animation which brings your casted spells into alignment.

I think it's finally the last straw. They insist on making enhancement shaman cater to idiots and people that don't play it. More VFX, less impact and now a lightning bolt that doesn't look like lightning. Crash lightning just had to get a Death Strike animation from DK. Making it look cringe af. And the ice strike.. you really didn't like it being hammered off like a bullet? Nah cause it being compact and having impact is not neon enough for you it has to have a big floaty VFX cloud or you can't relate. Goddamn f zoomers. You killed my spec. Thanks for that.
Honestly only thing I am bummed about with the release of undermine is no isle of kezan, it’s supposed to be based below the isle but still the only goblin presence we see to date there is the motherload dungeon, I would’ve loved to see another drill that led to the surface, maybe to bilgewater harbor rebuilt & resettled, and have it incorporated as a mini zone, and then could make the motherload area a non instanced one right next to it for another mini zone, and maybe one more featuring the actual mount kajaro, a jungle maybe, and pygmies to give homage to the lost isle, all in all they should’ve brought back kezan if they were also gonna introduce undermine
I will skip this patch. Honestely the current state of m+ has lost its pull for me and the changes are just not enough. (Usually I am 2.5k+) They also need to remove unnecessary hoops and timesinks if you want to equip a twink.
they need to make a Tinker class if they are going to make Hunters nature focused, because you were able to skin your hunter for tinker with no non mechanical pets but now you have to commit to summoning genetic animals as BM
Im orig from new York born and raised..my accent came completely back with the goblins it's so much fun there crazy I absolutely love it..❤❤❤.and drive is so much fun the.tjose options are fantastic 🎉🎉🎉
So, not only did Blizz take away the pets of MM hunters that liked to use them in open world settings & delves, they also destroyed the great lightning bolt animation from Shamans, & made a gimmicky driving game that is so fast that people end up DC'ing as they frequently slam into walls as the system cannot keep up with popping in the map at those speeds. Seriously, Blizz devs don't have a clue.
Each to their own. I hated pets as hunter and just wanted the archer theme (Lone Wolf FTW). The shaman lightning bolt is a modern/OG lightning bolt, and the DRIVE system looks FUN!
@@julio4494 We already have Lone Wolf MM for "lone archer theme", so forcing MM players to lose their pet is just an excuse to force a playstyle onto others that hate it, which also shows how toxic the M+ community has become. They better glyph the Shaman's Lightning Bolt or there will be a lot of angry players then. Finally, you like constantly slamming into walls or getting stuck on objects due to going so fast that the system cannot pop in objects fast enough?
@@echolocationn Your argument on toxic M+ players has nothing to do with your response, or mine for that matter. The OG lightning bolt was very much like how it is being redone, many players have already commented on their satisfaction, but I do think a glyph would work for those who like how it is now. You control the speed of the car, if you don’t like to go fast, then don’t go fast? You don’t have to use the boost.
@@daztora no, sorry, that is incorrect. "couldn't care less" means you could NOT care less, i.e. you care the minimum possible amount. What drive and skyriding needs is a bump/crash animation that bumps you/back out of whatever pixel stopped you cause feels pretty bad to go so fast and getting stuck on something without even an animation or sound
As much as I'm cool with them introducing new features, I feel like the amount of time and resources that they put on this race car functions and UI could have been invested in improving classes/specs and combat mechanics. This seems more like an expensive vanity project.
Hmmm. Bliz implements a feature, Drive, that pushes their engine to it's limits. Right before it launches they start pestering people that their BIOS is out of date and give no option to override the nagging. I wonder if this new feature is causing machines that have had the Intel flaw for years, but never crashed, to now crash? If you blame the hardware ahead of time it may provide a scapegoat to their antiquated engine?
DRIVE is underdeveloped and not a good look for the patch. Sure, it's an interesting concept/experiment but i don't see it becoming evergreen or updated in the future (or atleast shouldn't be). Nothing in WoW (not even Undermine) is built for that speed. It's far from consistent and the bumps kill the whole point of it. What the actually need to do if they want this to work as they intend is to re-mesh and Nav-mesh the whole zone (or basically the entire game if they want this to actually work) with "safe guards" near road/structure edges so you basically bump off them. The moment you stop instantly and lose momentum without any feedback because of a small rock on the ground, just kills the mechanic entirely. It's technically way off where it needs to be.
I disagree. I think drive (ground mounts) should have faster movement speed. It would encourage players to not just fly over everything and completely miss out on the world. Flying gives you the convenience of going straight to your destination without the terrain or enemies slowing you down.

On the new swirlies: Blizzard severely underestimates average DPS players if they think they wont run IMMEDIATELY into the center of a blue circle instead of out of it. (Myself included.)
Did Blizzard run out of red ink? Or what's the logic behind them being blue?
I’m so well trained I run away from EVERYTHING. Including the stuff you’re SUPPOSED to stand in.
Be nice if you could change the colour of it
blizz gave the speed clearers a toy to keep their adhd minds occupied. just watching that gameplay gives me anxiety
Imagine if that much effort had been put into making Azj’kahet a Suramar-like story arc and experience… ;)
Thank you for saying that!
Most of the videos I've seen showcasing DRIVE have a single car driving around on the narrow roads of Undermine. What kind of traffic jam is going to happen with all the players driving around at the same time? Even if there is no collision between players, it's going to be pretty chaotic.
Blizzard then: Hunters are a ranged pet class.
Blizzard now: fuck your pets, here’s a random ass eagle that helps, sometimes, when it feels like it.
MM was only good with Lone Wolf anyways.
@@WeAreMovieMakers M+ & Raids aren't the only thing that Hunters do, so you are wrong.
@@WeAreMovieMakers Some people don't play this class for the max dps. Some people have worked very hard to get the pets they have. Kinda of a shit move on Blizz to just toss that work out the window.
That’s why you have two of three specs that focus massively on your pets. Now there’s one for the people who like the archer fantasy. I think it’s a decent middle way
@@exileh it's not really about the archer fantasy though is it? It's about the eagle fantasy.
Really all they had to do was use a pet or your choice as a striker instead of the eagle.
Glad these videos are here to help me keep up with the game as I wait for the PTR for player housing in Midnight.
I would like to see a "no addon server" to test out how it would go over.
+ no microtransactions, but that will never happen.
What a good idea actually
Is it just me or is Bel talking a million miles an hour here?
Wild how such small changes like swirlies has me more excited than bigger changes
I'm really worried about this patch, hope there's enough to keep me occupied this time!
I'm getting close to swapping to POE2 at this point.
Yeah, Blizzard talking about the „Fantasy“ aspects behind the MM Hunter rework and implementing DRIVE at the same time … doesn’t work for me
Why?
9:46 my brother in Christ. A feature where you can get different looks for you eagle. Just like taming a pet, what a great idea.
genuinely love the qol updates theyre adding.
Looking forward to your Camp being your player house with your chars chilling in the yard or even inside! In Game tool allows you to take a photograph of a room in your house to use as the camp scene would be sick!
the addon performance tracking is really good, i know there are a couple of ways to identify the problem currently but i like it's coming in the base UI

Flying - Dynamic flying
Ground mounts - DRIVE
Underwater mounts - submarines? boats?
Regular walking - ????
Looks exciting! Can't wait to collect all the mogs.
I am a long time Shaman player. LB used to be a blue orb and then it became that electric line. I like the new LB animation.
I remember having problems with swearlies in 2009, so I'm sure there's even people who had complaints even before that. 15+ years.
I know it's actually quite bad for a game that has sucked so much money from customers, but it's better late than never imo
„Racing is in my blood“ so I am looking forward for this 😊
Cant wait for this patch to release, I think I’m finally gonna get back into raiding cause I like the changes they made with the whole dinars and the renown track plus I’ve always wanted to kill Gallywix.
The raid looks super fun and crazy! Im excited! Especially with the renown like you said. Gives even more reason to do it
Raiding the where it’s at. Raiders are the only truly content WoW players.
No more red boss + red spell effects + red floor? Damn!
This actually gives me a Batman Arkham Knight feel.
what??!?!?!?!???
it looks kinda... too fast? 😂
I don't really care for driving in the game. I'd rather use my ground mounts instead. Sure they're slow but the time I would need after drifting and crashing into a wall I could easily catch up with ground mounts. But I don't mind it existing. I just won't use it.
I think there are not much people who thinks this drive will be fun. I dont even like dragonriding. I would rather delete flying so it feels like a big world again. I dont even understand for what drive is, theres an portal for everything, if i want to go fast somewhere i use portals or flying
I don't mind dragonriding that much. Sometimes it takes you somewhere really fast but I agree. I usually just use ground mounts or original flying.
I'm pretty sure that drive is only a prototype for dynamic ground mounts in the future.
Time and place for each mount/style of riding (casual vs sky for instance) as dragon riding had taught us
Skill issue sounds like it
Tinker class tinker class tinker class tinker class
Picking up ladies like it's GTA in those vehicles
The number of times I saw you crash into the wall was not selling it for me haha.
The constant crashes with drive is a massive turn off.
We all know drive is gonna crash servers
Clip a rock and your position moves to something the server doesn't recognise?
DC from server!
This next season has to be better than decent. I'm worried, no anniversary event to keep us around and grinding content this time....
Bet they going to come out with a battle pass for wow on top of the monthly fee….
As a shaman, I just want totem skin updates for the classic classes. Very outdated and could look so beautiful
So what we are saying is the shimmering flats are eventually going to be off the hook
Rock and Roll Racing is back boys!
Okay. That event schedule is dope.
It would be so cool if player housing had a racetrack you could customize.
Love the new thunderbolt animation! People are just impossible to please
Wow has been making tiny sacrifices for over a decade.
What's your quest log addon?
Blizzard needs to add more Alliance Shaman races, human, night elf, etc.
Why has no one covered the monthly price increase?
I wasn't aware of one. It's still $14.99 when I look at the launcher - same as it's been for years.
@@jacquelinesimon7653 Australia and New Zealand will have price hikes.
holy fuck they added mario kart to wow
I'm looking forward for this patch it looks so good
13:49 ,does anyone know what this loot window is? Is this a new look for the default or possibly a weak aura?
Plumber addon
I will skip this patch.
Honestely the current state of m+ has lost its pull for me and the changes are just not enough. (Usually I am 2.5k+)
They also need to remove unnecessary hoops and timesinks if you want to equip a twink.
Anone knows what is the setting for the camera to bop around like at 9:54?
they need to make a Tinker class if they are going to make Hunters nature focused, because you were able to skin your hunter for tinker with no non mechanical pets but now you have to commit to summoning genetic animals as BM
If a MM goes Dark Ranger the eagles should become a raven, crow, or something not so goody-goody.
I’m getting that itch again man, a few months away maybe it’s time to check back in
so preaty much Roller Beetle form Gw2:D
I hate pretty much all the hunter changes. Mostly MM.
Nerds trying to race is going to be so much content
the new delve npc is "The Kingpin" it's in the game data.
We got GTA in WoW before GTA6
Im orig from new York born and raised..my accent came completely back with the goblins it's so much fun there crazy I absolutely love it..❤❤❤.and drive is so much fun the.tjose options are fantastic 🎉🎉🎉
What's the addon you use for NPC names (not HP bar nameplates, idle/friendly ones)?
You don’t have to use the boost.
swirlies should be a setting to toggle immersive effect or simplified mechanic
I would love it if warbands were expanded to 5-6 characters.
I'm guessing they brought in features from Rock n Roll Racing, one of their early games. The upgrade system sounds like features from that game.
I go to organize my camps as anime guild ranking system the S class, A, B C etc. is gonna be sick
Everything new is good, game changer, and Blizzard can do no wrong...ok got it Bellular.
i absolutely hate goblin "gobby"theme/lore, but i can't dispute that this patch looks insanely fun and game changing
Yeah could care less about Goblin stuff, but the other changes might have me dip my toes back in
@@daztora *couldn't care less
@@Prawnsly Either works, read a book
@@daztora no, sorry, that is incorrect. "couldn't care less" means you could NOT care less, i.e. you care the minimum possible amount. "could care less" means there is a possibility for you to care less, i.e. you do care a certain amount. think about it.
it's not complicated. just another American corruption of English language.
It's a TH-cam comment section. Pick another struggle dude
Wanted to know, are there any news about more reputations for the warbands?
i really hope they keep the swirly a swirly like good visual change, but the inside of the circle should stay as a swirly
Aw, I was hoping we'd be able to assign one alt to multiple camps
Inc Mario xmogs ☠️
I will be back when it's a beloved system. Trust.
The new shaman lightning bolt reminds me of the Old lightning bolt we had that was also a projectile but way slower
"Plays different"? This is cope. Core gameplay largely unchanged
drive shouldn't be faster than flight
Why not?
I disagree. I think drive (ground mounts) should have faster movement speed. It would encourage players to not just fly over everything and completely miss out on the world. Flying gives you the convenience of going straight to your destination without the terrain or enemies slowing you down.
Really feels like blizz is cooking here
Imagine the boss is a broker he hung out with in tazavesh. He's like I paid big money take care of this guy
