  • Targeting redear sunfish and bluegills during their spawn has been extremely fun! The bites has been rewarding with some fish reaching 1 pound which makes for a really good fight on light tackle.

      I’m pretty sure Texas has some monster sizes as well!
      Usually in lakes or reservoirs they spawn a bit deeper and live on bottom structure such as rock piles, brush piles, etc

      I’m in California
      River redears don’t get as big as their lake relatives so catching 1 pound plus is consider a trophy size here on the delta
