I built a butcher block desk with a drill, some wood finish, and some standing desk legs from Amazon. An amazing decision. It's been the best and largest desk I've ever owned, and it cost less than half the price of buying a comparable desk from some official brand. Having a video highlighting how to make an amazing desk for cheap would be great.
I bought their HUSKY adjustable workbench with 2 drawers. Solid as a rock and much cheaper than a lot of adjustable standing desks. Don't mind cranking the height. One less thing to break. Have fun! no1ukn0

The irony of all of this is that Audio-Technica is an actual quality brand and you didn't even get to trying their mic out, lol. I have a 250 dollar headphones from them for listening music and it's the best sound that has ever graced my ears from headphones.
My Sony A80J OLED is set up similarly to this. Two speakers behind the screen for the front channels, and another two on the back of the TV for the wall bouncing thing. Not as good as a proper home theater setup, of course, but the configuration provides a surprisingly convincing surround sound effect with Dolby Atmos content. That said, most surround effects sound like they're coming from the ceiling and sides, not so much from the rear. One day I'll get a proper receiver and speaker setup. Spent my entire budget on the TV lol

My Home Depot 72" workbench is the best desk I've ever had. Built like a tank, can mount anything on it, magnetic legs, don't care about scuffs and scratches. The depth is a little shallow, but it makes you more efficient with your space and mess.
I have the same after seeing them on Tom Bucks channel. Those Husky desk are great, I even put together two of the small tops for my server rack and another for a tool chest.

I can appreciate recliner gaming. I do it with a nice lazy boy and a 65 inch wall mounted tv. You have to get the tilt just right and it’s perfect. No gamer neck. Eff the mouse. Gyro works great. Especially since I’m not going for competitive as much anymore. But still.. it definitely isn’t a slouch for competitive play.

They have a worktable that has a hand crank so it can be a manual sit/stand desk and it's built very well and can go up and down with weight on it. And it was a reasonable price with a solid wood top that looks very good. That's what I would have suggested to anyone for a "desk" from Home Depot. I would probably have suggested one of the "zero gravity" lawn chairs for something comfortable for hours to go with that as a desk if you were going with something from there
had me at a "heh heh. im being called out here.." as i have something similar set up. but, its a actual load bearing computer riser i have under the desk one to support it. i could see the tension risk from the load and didnt want to rely too much on tiny screws to hold everything together at full weight. a few years later and its still good so... no issues to complain about... no real loss of space. but yeah. a solid piece of cardboard prob would have done the trick too.
I actually have 2 of these Sansui monitors... got off Amazon for $~70 USD. They're not perfect, but for a budget-conscious build that's not meant for epic gaming or editing, they're pretty decent.
I actually use Husky Adjustable Height workbenches from Home Depot as my computer desks. They hold a lot more weight and cost a lot less than a lot of other adjustable desks out there.
I have a type of that chair, and I will say it's great for when you work at home. I would recommend it for that purpose only. It's extremely comfortable (compared to a normal office chair) and they usually have a longer warranty than you'd think

Lenovo still sells tablets without any bloatware. I use it all the time for my busness side of things of trucking. No bloatware to get in the way when you need to find that truck stop or keying in info when parked at the pump to activate the diesel pump.

I bought desks almost exactly like that for my kids computers but I think the ones I bought were of a much higher quality. Everything came together and securely when there was no wobble or misaligned parts whatsoever.

I bought a 72" adjustable hight Husky work bench for $400 USD at home depot. The legs are metal and the top is all wood. Enough room for my computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and space to so my homework. I would recommend looking into if you're shopping for a new sturdy desk.

(FWIW: I have exclusively used T-series Thinkpads for well over 20 years (and other Thinkpads before that. Still love the keyboard and the Trackpoint.) The only thing I would ding them for is for being too slow to switch to 16x10 from 16x9, but they finally did that in the last year or two. People yearning for the old 4x3 screens are living in a fantasy world.
You can take the desk and buy a box of construction grade screws and make it far more stable Or just go to the hardware store get some wood and plywood and a sanding block, a bunch of screws, a tape measure and diy it which is what my cousin did, surprisingly went under $150

Came here after reading in that Lenovo was a zombie brand and wanted to see what specifics were given to support that claim (e.g. some laptop or tablet review). After all, the enterprise seems to love Thinkpads and there are a lot reviews on those on TH-cam that might indicate they are not so zombies. My desk at home is from The Home Depot, except it's height adjustable with a crank (although, you could replace said crank with a power drill and a hex bolt inserted into the crankshaft), made from solid wood and a steel or aluminum alloy frame, and it's actually a Husky Tools workbench.

You should have went with a Husky Adjustable Bench as a desk. They actually work really nice as a computer desk, they are very durable and stable. As long as you aren't going up and down all the time (as they are hand crank) they are pretty nice.

Monster isn’t dead. They have gotten into the extension chord market and not going to lie… they’re pretty good quality even for the tradesman’s market. Very solid.

Monster cable was purchased at least in part by Audio Quest several years ago. Not sure if it was only the cable portion of the company or the whole thing but Monster is 100% a shell of a company now

I bought a 72" adjustable hight Husky work bench for $400 USD at home depot. The legs are metal and the top is all wood. Enough room for my computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and space to so my homework. I would recommend looking into if you're shopping for a new sturdy desk.

ThinkPad was originally an IBM brand, later acquired by Lenovo. Quality-wise my overall experience has been positive.
ThinkPads have been going down the drain for a while now, there’s barely anything differentiating a modern think pad from any other notebook.
@@d33pblu3 That's bullshit. Thinkpad branded laptops, especially the T and X series are still considered among the best quality on the market, and yes, they still keep the two main differentiator that Thinkpad users love -- the Trackpoint and the high quality keyboard.
Yes, they have followed some of the trends that most users like, but they have to sell to more than just Thinkpad fanboys or otherwise they might as well have killed the brand decades ago.
(FWIW: I have exclusively used T-series Thinkpads for well over 20 years (and other Thinkpads before that. Still love the keyboard and the Trackpoint.)
The only thing I would ding them for is for being too slow to switch to 16x10 from 16x9, but they finally did that in the last year or two. People yearning for the old 4x3 screens are living in a fantasy world.

Neither Motorola nor Thinkpad deserve to be called a "sad zombie brand purchased by a chinese holding company, exploiting its once loyal customer base to sell garbage" (at 13:30 ). In fact both (under lenovo) make some of the best midrange devices in their category.

LTT has always underrated or ignored Lenovo
Came here after reading in that Lenovo was a zombie brand and wanted to see what specifics were given to support that claim (e.g. some laptop or tablet review). After all, the enterprise seems to love Thinkpads and there are a lot reviews on those on TH-cam that might indicate they are not so zombies. Maybe he was referring to Lenovo keeping (milking?) the awesome kb that IBM produced for the Thinkpad. Do wish that Lenovo put out less models that are just customizable.

Lenovo is consistently left out in secret shopper, you almost never see a ShortCircuit of them reviewing Lenovo laptops, and Motorola is one of the few challenger brands left that's not Samsung or Apple. So what gives LTT? Lenovo bite your framework hand at some point?
Not sure about Monster staying private, they partnered with Huawei for a bunch of earphones about 5-7 years ago iirc, and then partnered with a boatload of chinese brands which kicked off a massive wave of knock-offs

My desk at home is from The Home Depot, except it's height adjustable with a crank (although, you could replace said crank with a power drill and a hex bolt inserted into the crankshaft), made from solid wood and a steel or aluminum alloy frame, and it's actually a Husky Tools workbench.

My brother bought one of those adjustable Husky work desks for his PC setup. It works really well and has a sweet hand crank for adjustment.
Fun fact the reason he has to wear a kids shop apron is because Home Depot makes you shred your old aprons when you get a new one or leave.

They've definitely had someone come by wearing an old apron and walk off some expensive tools.
@@giantpickle yes because the only thing we wore was the apron. So i could walk into another department where they didn’t know me and grab an expensive item and walk out and nobody would care. My store had a issue of someone trying that with one he apparently bought online

You should have went with a Husky Adjustable Bench as a desk. They actually work really nice as a computer desk, they are very durable and stable. As long as you aren't going up and down all the time (as they are hand crank) they are pretty nice.
In a weird way the speakers make some sense that they would be facing a wall with most setups so the sound would reflect of the wall at you lol

It automatically makes them more shit.
Like it is very hard to be able to tune them out of the box because the wall material will alter the sound.
So any good brand will tell you that it is a bad idea to do as you have no control over how it sounds. Which is precisely what a speaker manufacturer aims to be good at.
Rear fire speakers are 100% a thing, but you have to be in a normal setup... aka against a wall.
Much more common is down fire subs.

Sansui LOL Thats a brand I have not seen since I was 9. My first TV I got that was new was made by them. It was one of those bulky all in ones with a VCR only from Costco. Good to see they are still kicking! Probably not the same company but the brand is alive.

This video is alittle click baity, home depot has some 3rd party sellers online and some of the products are subpar, but I dont believe any of the items showcased in the video are available in the store to walk in and buy.

I worked for HomeDepot for a week. I can tell you the reason they have these items is not just from 3rd party sellers but also it seemed to me like anything they use for the business side they seem to also sell it. So i bet they have deals worked out with some of the brands
