Can't wait for the day when we finally get "The All LTT Store Setup"
sponsored by dBrand
April fools day special
All the pc parts would be tested and benchmarked by the lab. I'd very much want to see that
I'll be on the lookout for the video titled,"We built the all Burger King Gaming Setup" and then we'll know we're getting close.
Please no. He already charges his Canadian supporters in usd and over charges for everything just because it’s LTT…
7:22 "to their social credit" caught me offguard
best joke I have ever heard on this channel
L...MAO
replayed to make sure I heard right hahaha
Best line in the video by far
S Tier writing
"Load bearing cardboard box" is exactly what I was hoping for. The ending with the keyboard tray was just icing on top.
The load bearing box was hilarious, but we totally got robbed with it. They should have at least removed it at the end so we could see the display shelf tear itself off of the desk.
14:30 THE WAY NARRATOR JUST TOOK OVER 😭😭
I lost it when he said "I don't think the computer likes it when you do that".
I can't let you do that, Linus
I'm just gonna start saying "SUBTRACT" whenever someone does something I don't like.
13:30 not 14:30
please continue the ' WHY IS EVERYONE BUYING THIS SERIES'
I assume they don't do it more often because the answer is "BECAUSE IT'S MOSTLY FINE" every time
I can see your profile picture and yes I am using Dark Mode
Bro is looking for cool shit to buy
please don't
Would it feature ridge?
I'm guessing those speakers are designed to bounce audio off a wall behind them to create a more "full" sound. But still... 😂
My Sony A80J OLED is set up similarly to this. Two speakers behind the screen for the front channels, and another two on the back of the TV for the wall bouncing thing. Not as good as a proper home theater setup, of course, but the configuration provides a surprisingly convincing surround sound effect with Dolby Atmos content.
That said, most surround effects sound like they're coming from the ceiling and sides, not so much from the rear. One day I'll get a proper receiver and speaker setup. Spent my entire budget on the TV lol
@@Psythik My man got his priorities straight 😂
@@Psythik Just get it slowly. I got my dolby atmos setup by first buying a receiver and getting a bunch of cheap ass $100 speakers on sale. I slowly replaced them with $500 speakers every month or two. Eventually, my home theater kicked ass
@@PsythikI got my 5.1 mid range hifi setup for under 300€ used. Just look for good brand speakers and a relatively modern av receiver. And don't buy expensive speaker wires, that's always a waste of money

"To their social credit" is a phenomenal line that i will be stealing in the future.
The "and we had to pay someone to drive to the unitied states to get it...and gas" was the dagger in Linus's heart. Funny😅
Seriously - if they had to pay for gas, how the hell is LMG not bankrupt right now?
Home Depot unironically has some of the best desks. Buying a butcher block from them and putting a standing desk base on it is S Tier
I bought their HUSKY adjustable workbench with 2 drawers. Solid as a rock and much cheaper than a lot of adjustable standing desks. Don't mind cranking the height. One less thing to break.
Have fun!
no1ukn0
@@iamNO1UKN0 I got one of those too. Thing is built like a tank and it cost less than the flimsy Amazon desk it replaced
That's what we did. We bought some desk legs from another company and got the desk from home depot
@@iamNO1UKN0The nice thing about those is that they go much lower than the usual DIY electric legs. The affordable ones are 30"...wayy too tall for anyone < 6' to sit with feet on the ground. WHYYY

The irony of all of this is that Audio-Technica is an actual quality brand and you didn't even get to trying their mic out, lol.
I have a 250 dollar headphones from them for listening music and it's the best sound that has ever graced my ears from headphones.
That's an LTT video for yah
Yeah for Real, Audio Technica is on the same level as Bayerdynamic.
LTT and 99% of their viewers know AT are an S-tier audio brand.
"I don't think the computer likes it when you do that"
LMFAO HAHA!
8:25 Good to know that even in an alternate reality where Linus works for Home Depot he would still have his Linus Drop Tips status
"Linus reviews another pile of drop-shipped garbage."
My favorite video series, lol. I'm pretty sure every major retailer just shares a back-end store with Amazon at this point, you could get the exact same results and pricing from Walmart, Lowes, or any retailer. I'd love a video diving into that ecosystem.
100% yes
They look quite similar but I wonder if it is all the same resellers. I know most of them are chinese knockoff brands. Bestbuy has one too. If I wanted to shop for amazon quality items, I would just go to amazon.
You're probably close, but I doubt it's Amazon. More likely it's Shopify or something like it but higher volume.
So there are several networks you can use for this... DSCO and Mirakl are pretty popular
100%. I work at home depot and we get so much of this garbage returned in store from ppl making online purchases of it thinking its a great deal. last year, I vividly remember someone returning a shelving unit wasnt even assembled, was already broken in the box. claimed it could hold over 550 lbs, but it was all cheap thin particleboard.
I'm glad they called them out on this manufactured garbage on their store, but I think it would be cool for them to do a part 2 to this where they build a much better desk with toolboxes and maybe a kitchen countertop from home depot.
I built a butcher block desk with a drill, some wood finish, and some standing desk legs from Amazon. An amazing decision. It's been the best and largest desk I've ever owned, and it cost less than half the price of buying a comparable desk from some official brand. Having a video highlighting how to make an amazing desk for cheap would be great.
Home depot has manually height adjusting workbenches that work pretty well as a solid desk.
"to their Social Credit" at about 8:05 is either incredible writing or incredible improv. Good job!

Not sure I agree with the companies listed at 13:36 as Motorola and Lenovo are still trying to innovate.
And Lenovo still makes great business notebooks and peripherals. I am in the market for a new work notebook later this year and it will either be a Framework or a ThinkPad.
Yeah Motorola don't sell garbage even if they're not really the brand they were.
Lenovo still sells tablets without any bloatware. I use it all the time for my busness side of things of trucking. No bloatware to get in the way when you need to find that truck stop or keying in info when parked at the pump to activate the diesel pump.
@@ArchibaldQuanlockHuntsman I think you're possibly just reading too much into what is likely just ignorance on the part of a video editor.
Agree. Would be useful to highlight specific examples of Thinkpads if that was the case. But the again, TP are loved for business. Maybe this channel is more about the gaming gear.

The "Bell" pepper at 0:05 :D
I was actually anxiously waiting for when the keyboard support was going to break. I didn't get disappointed.
9:20 "Load bearing cardborad box" is the funniest thing I have heard all day.
High quality compared to the keyboard tray.
has a very "load bearing spray foam" vibe ala Just Rolled In videos
had me at a "heh heh. im being called out here.." as i have something similar set up. but, its a actual load bearing computer riser i have under the desk one to support it. i could see the tension risk from the load and didnt want to rely too much on tiny screws to hold everything together at full weight.
a few years later and its still good so... no issues to complain about... no real loss of space.
but yeah. a solid piece of cardboard prob would have done the trick too.
4:44 I love when a company creates a problem and sells the solution
They have a worktable that has a hand crank so it can be a manual sit/stand desk and it's built very well and can go up and down with weight on it. And it was a reasonable price with a solid wood top that looks very good. That's what I would have suggested to anyone for a "desk" from Home Depot. I would probably have suggested one of the "zero gravity" lawn chairs for something comfortable for hours to go with that as a desk if you were going with something from there
These videos are useful for grandparents, so there’s less disappointed kids at Christmas time 👍

Neither Motorola nor Thinkpad deserve to be called a "sad zombie brand purchased by a chinese holding company, exploiting its once loyal customer base to sell garbage" (at 13:30 ). In fact both (under lenovo) make some of the best midrange devices in their category.
I dont see anything about thinkpad there
They edited the video and removed it lmfao. Not a great look when you have a channel like this and a stake in a laptop company, and just baselessly diss a competitor @@ahmetnag
LTT has always underrated or ignored Lenovo
Came here after reading in that Lenovo was a zombie brand and wanted to see what specifics were given to support that claim (e.g. some laptop or tablet review). After all, the enterprise seems to love Thinkpads and there are a lot reviews on those on TH-cam that might indicate they are not so zombies. Maybe he was referring to Lenovo keeping (milking?) the awesome kb that IBM produced for the Thinkpad. Do wish that Lenovo put out less models that are just customizable.
I see the part about Lenovo being a zombie brand has been removed the video for some reason.
@felix4525 probably removed because it's untrue! "China=bad" is such a junk take from a channel that shills so much Apple stuff made in China. Lenovo is consistently left out in secret shopper, you almost never see a ShortCircuit of them reviewing Lenovo laptops, and Motorola is one of the few challenger brands left that's not Samsung or Apple. So what gives LTT? Lenovo bite your framework hand at some point?
13:38 why thinkpad? lenovo wasnt bought, it is chinese company, but now its more worldwide focused and is doing, by what i think and see, quality products.
ThinkPad was originally an IBM brand, later acquired by Lenovo. Quality-wise my overall experience has been positive.
ThinkPads have been going down the drain for a while now, there’s barely anything differentiating a modern think pad from any other notebook.
@@d33pblu3 That's bullshit. Thinkpad branded laptops, especially the T and X series are still considered among the best quality on the market, and yes, they still keep the two main differentiator that Thinkpad users love -- the Trackpoint and the high quality keyboard.
Yes, they have followed some of the trends that most users like, but they have to sell to more than just Thinkpad fanboys or otherwise they might as well have killed the brand decades ago.
(FWIW: I have exclusively used T-series Thinkpads for well over 20 years (and other Thinkpads before that. Still love the keyboard and the Trackpoint.)
The only thing I would ding them for is for being too slow to switch to 16x10 from 16x9, but they finally did that in the last year or two. People yearning for the old 4x3 screens are living in a fantasy world.

Kinda funny coming from a canadian, considering where canada is heading.
As AVE always calls it " the homeless deathspot"
I also call it that, as they made me homeless illegally fireing me and I almost died twice working there.
Fun fact the reason he has to wear a kids shop apron is because Home Depot makes you shred your old aprons when you get a new one or leave.
Is that for security purposes?
They've definitely had someone come by wearing an old apron and walk off some expensive tools.
@@giantpickle yes because the only thing we wore was the apron. So i could walk into another department where they didn’t know me and grab an expensive item and walk out and nobody would care. My store had a issue of someone trying that with one he apparently bought online
I mean to be fair usually a desk is against a wall, hence the back-firing speakers like you would set up a mood light that shoots into your wall and not directly into your face.

I have a type of that chair, and I will say it's great for when you work at home. I would recommend it for that purpose only. It's extremely comfortable (compared to a normal office chair) and they usually have a longer warranty than you'd think
I bought desks almost exactly like that for my kids computers but I think the ones I bought were of a much higher quality. Everything came together and securely when there was no wobble or misaligned parts whatsoever.

This has to be one of the best video idea setups ever made.
Monster isn’t dead. They have gotten into the extension chord market and not going to lie… they’re pretty good quality even for the tradesman’s market. Very solid.
The real Home Depot setup is the Husky wood topped work bench as a desk. You just don't put on the front support panel and boom you got a rock solid desk that can support like 1500 lbs
i liked my own comment because no one else will.
In a weird way the speakers make some sense that they would be facing a wall with most setups so the sound would reflect of the wall at you lol
I was thinking the same thing, they are likely designed to bounce off the wall.
@@darrylelam256 but why?
It automatically makes them more shit.
Like it is very hard to be able to tune them out of the box because the wall material will alter the sound.
So any good brand will tell you that it is a bad idea to do as you have no control over how it sounds. Which is precisely what a speaker manufacturer aims to be good at.
The MUCH better option if you have to buy your desk from Home Depot is to buy a Husky work bench instead. They have much better quality, butch block top, adjustable height (manually but still)
And they get they put the 48 inch on sale for $100. SO it's cheaper and SO much better quality.
It's never an ltt video if Linus doesn't drop atleast 1 thing every video
This video is alittle click baity, home depot has some 3rd party sellers online and some of the products are subpar, but I dont believe any of the items showcased in the video are available in the store to walk in and buy.
I had a power outage while at my family's reunion, and 5 power surge strips are shot alongside 4 or 5 electrical outlets. Now, I have to let the maintenance department know about this and my landlord.
The wobbling monitor when he moved the desk made me freak for a second 😱
Then 2 minutes later and off it goes 😂
Testing these speakers without a wall behind them is what I expect from LTT at this point.
Once again, asking LTT to do the tiniest hand-built gaming PC possible. Like, I want to see Linus having to use screw drivers for glasses and a magnifying glass to mount the motherboard in the case.
