Hello, Andrew thanks for this useful lesson. I'm so excited about the fact that I'm going to start my MBA program next month. therefore, I recently go out at night just to get used to it because our classes are at night and since I'm afraid of darkness I decided to get used to it and by the time we start I'll be able to focus on my studies in order to make myself proud beside making my family proud of me. For those who are scared of darkness, I encourage you to try to go over it.
Hi Mustafa. Good luck with the MBA. That's a very useful qualification to have. When I was younger, my father studied for his business degree through night classes after work. It was a lot of work but with discipline, everything is possible. 🙂 I am not scared of the dark but I am scared of heights. It's strange, because I didn't used to be scared of heights when I was a child. I think that adults are more scared of things than children! Thanks for your message. Andrew
I am excited about learning english. I am sad about sickness of my relative. I am afraid of the wild animals. I am proud of myself because now i speak english.
# We use certain Adjectives with the preposition 'About' to express feelings: Structure: Adjective + About + Noun phrase [certain Adjectives: Excited, Happy, Nervous, Sad, Stressed, Worried, ...] Example:1. He is excited about going to London. 2. They are happy about the goal. 3. She is nervous about the exam. 4.She is sad about the death of her father. 5. She is stressed about the job interview. 6.I am worried about the economy. **The noun phrase that we write down after the preposition 'About' gives us the reason for these feeling. Means why are we Excited/Happy/Nervous/Sad/Stressed/Worried? ** # We can use certain Adjectives with the preposition 'Of' to express feelings: Structure: Adjective + Of + Noun phrase [Certain Adjectives: Afraid, Frightened, scared, proud, ...] Ex: 1. I am afraid of the dark. 2. Mark is frightened of dogs. 3.She is not frightened of heights. ( Afraid, Frightened and Scared have the similar meanings) 4.He is proud of his exam result. 5. My father is proud of me. ** Even here the noun/noun phrase that we put after the preposition 'Of' gives us the reason for these feelings. Means why someone is Afraid/Frightened/Scared/Proud or for whom someone is proud **

Abhishek kumar Rai 👨🏻🏫 Hello. Mr Teacher here in England 🏴. I have an answer to your question. Your example sentences are incorrect. We do not refer to ourselves in the first person using the verb ‘be’ in that form. Instead we use the verb ‘behave’. My example sentence is this ‘He is behaving rudely.’ Another correct form uses the verb ‘feel’. My example sentence is ‘I am feeling happy / sad / nervous.’ I hope this is helpful for you.
I had been ill for 3 days. Is this correct. Because in past perfect tense We can't use single sentence we need some adverb of time(after, before, when etc) sir please explain
I am excited about my new house. I am sad about not be able returning to London. I am afraid of the coronavirus. I am proud of my Andrew teacher. Bye:)*
If the noun phrase that follows the preposition About n Of gives the reason why we are such n such, is there any rule of putting these two prepositions after adjectives to describe feelings, I mean to say why we cannot use preposition about after adjectives such as proud or use preposition of after adjectives such as excited etc.
ranadeep kakoti 👨🏻🏫 Hello, Ranadeep. Mr Teacher here in England 🏴. The answer to your question is that the structure of English grammar is what it is. You cannot choose to change it on a whim. For us to understand the language we need to understand the structure supporting it. What functions as the structure of English is what makes English, English and not French. In English, prepositions most often point to a following word or phrase. I am nervous about . . .not I am about nervous . . .These forms have to be learned by native speakers as well as other students of English. I hope this is helpful for you.
For ur information I have been trying my best to come over my stumbles over fluency but I somewhat feel something inexpressible rigidness. Could u suggest about it?

I am excited about traveling on Holiday. I am sad about raining during my holiday. I am afraid of crowding people when I travel. I am proud of my wife on the bed.
"I have subscribed to your channel." is better English because it's not really important exactly *when* you subscribed in the past in the context of your sentence. We would use the past simple if we want to specify when something happens in the past. Example: "I subscribed to your channel yesterday." Best wishes Andrew.
Md. Abu Hanif Hanif 👨🏻🏫 Hello. Mr Teacher here in England 🏴. My answer to your question is this. Your example sentence 1 should be like this ‘I am proud of you.’ The main reference is to the other person, ‘you’. In example sentence 2 ‘I am worried (about) you’ the reference is to the speaker ‘I’. The use here depends on who is the subject and who is the object of the emotion described in the sentence. I hope this is helpful for you.
