Sir I appreciate you for your teaching very simply and precisely. I have got it very clearly. I have never ever seen none of the foreigners could teach as simple as you . I can feel my native teacher teaching me. I can't help revealing this to you. Keep it up.👍👍👍

Agree with you 100%. I have been a regular viewer of his class. But I haven't felt he is a foreigner yet. I feel as if a teacher from my native taking class. His explanation is so fantastic. Lots of my doubts have been clarified. Keep up your good work. Thanks a lot.

If we do not narrow down our audience.
You can quickly narrow down the Results by refining your search in different ways.
We recorded maybe 30. 40 sings so we already narrowed it down to get to those 15 that were live.
I finally narrowed down my choices.
Narrow it down to the top 6.
What does this mean (narrow down) please

    • @CrownAcademyEnglish
      @CrownAcademyEnglish  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello
Let me give you an example situation.
Imagine that a company is looking to recuit a new sales assistant. The company advertises in the newspaper and invites candidates to send in their CV. The company receives 25 applications and CVs. The company reads all of the CVs. They reject 20 candidates and invite the other 5 for an interview. We say that the company has *narrowed down* the choice from 25 to 5. So "narrow down" means to eliminate certain options of something in order to focus on the options that remain.
      Andrew

question: The verb fall and the phrasal verb fall over looks the same in meaning. Can we use them interchangeably, we can replace fall over with just fall or with fell down in the given examples: I tripped and fell/fell down.
Th lamp fall fall down on the ground when i moved it/

ruben dominguez 👨🏻‍🏫 Hello, Ruben. Mr Teacher here in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. I have an answer to your question. These expressions are very similar. Expression 1 ‘getting over it’ means a person is beginning to recover from a serious problem such as an illness. You can also react in this way when a relationship is ended. Expression 2 ‘getting it over (and done with)’ means completing or finishing an unwelcome task. Expression 3 ‘get over it’ is an imperative or instruction to stop thinking about a situation and move on. It can appear rude or uncaring in some cases, when the speaker thinks you are being silly. Example 4 ‘get it over (and done with) is the imperative or instructional form of Example 2. I hope this is helpful for you.

    1. Take over ( replace someone)
    2. Think sth over
    3. Break up ( end of a relationship)
    4. Fall over & pull over
    5. Get over ( recover mentally)
    6. Overcome.
My story: when I know my best friend " fall in love"with my boyfriend and she wanna take over me. Unfortunately, my boyfriend also fell in love with her. I thought it over and we have been broken up. It like i fell over from high tree and i drived too fast to bridge and pull over my motorbike. I cried a lot and screamed but after that i got over and smiling. To be honest, Vietnam overcame Corona pandemic then my fuck love what meaning!!! ^^
