I'm trying to set it up and on the 4k capture app I have audio input set up through HDMI audio and on the bottom right corner it shows the bars raised high like audio is loud. And when I stream the gameplay sound is a static sound. Any fix? I followed your instructions
I just followed your instructions and it works perfectly. Thank you so much! I did notice that 3D audio is not selectable and grayed out. Is that normal? When I had the headset connected to the system by itself, I was able to turn on and off 3D audio. Now that the headset is connected to my capture card, it’s not selectable.

Don’t know if you will respond to this or not, but I used this video to help me set up my elgato with my astros and ps5. Changed all the right settings as well. My issue is that my stream has no audio aside from me talking. They can’t hear the game or any one in my party chat. Do you know how to fix this?

@@iTzRiddLe I was never able to get chat audio because the A50 do not come with a stream port. When you go to the ASTRO Command Center you don't have access to a stream port which is what you would use to adjust the chat audio for the stream to hear the party chat. I didn't know the A50 didn't come with a stream port was trying to go wireless. Luckily I still have the A40s with the mixamp. That's the best way to go for streaming at least with OBS. I think you should be good if you are just streaming off playstation as well though. Hopes this helps a bit.
When switching from USB Headset (Astro A50) to HDMI Device (TV) it makes the party chat sound more echo-ey on my headset. Sounds fine within the stream but doesn't sound as crisp and clean as the normal USB Headset selection. Is there a way to fix this?
You using the Astro hdmi splitter or third party one I didn’t listen and got a cheap third party one and I had same prob but switched to the Astro one and it stoped so maybe it’s that
I'm still having issues. I have everything setup correct but does it matter if i'm still trying to have PC audio with the same Astro headset? I'm using Voicemeeter Banana to split my discord/desktop/spotify audio and don't know if that's what is causing the issue. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Chat link cable won’t fix not hearing alerts either, and that’s for wired headsets only. To hear alerts you need to listen to your audio from the computer, not from the PS5

This method is specifically for astros that use a base station or mix amp. If it's wireless with a usb adapter, that won't work. In that case you would need to run them wired if possible.
Same setup here. Just not having any luck. A50 into the Astro HDMI adapter, then out to the Elgato HD60S+, then to my monitor. Everything hooked up as instructed, but through OBS the game audio is just a loud feedback crap sound. Then through Elgato's Game Capture Hardware, I get no game sound whatsoever. Frustrating. Could it be the M1 Macbook Pro I'm using? Help???

I use Turtle beach elite pro headset which has a hub mix amp. Which I just bought a Monoprice Blackbird 4K HDMI Audio Extractor hdmi adaptor and it works prefect with my elgato and stream :)

I did this with a generic HDMI adapter from Best buy because they didn't have the Astro one in stock. When I switch the channel to HDMI, the audio switches from my headphones to the monitor. Do I need the Astro adapter so the sound stays in my headphones and also goes to the computer ? Cause I can hear it thru my computer. I guess I could plug my headset into the computer but that will give it a delay
I had an issue where everything is set up correctly. The elgato software on pc was detecting my hd60s but it said no signal and nothing was popping up on my TV and pc. To fix this I had to go into the ps5 resolution and change it to 1080p and that worked for me. It was frustrating
Do you know what would make the streaming audio cut in and out? Everything worked great before but I needed chat audio for streaming. I found this video and picked up the ASTRO A50. After setting it up, my game and chat audio now sound choppy and broken up when I play it back. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

You can use the avermedia card too, just set it up like you would the elgato.

Yes this does work, the problem is you won't be able to hear alerts from stream and I couldn't figure it out. I'm thinking I need a chat link cable.
Chat link cable won’t fix not hearing alerts either, and that’s for wired headsets only. To hear alerts you need to listen to your audio from the computer, not from the PS5

According to elgato and from my tests, the elgato software has issues running on M1 Mac, but you should be able to record normal in OBS at least.

can you hear your computer sound as well when you do this ?
No, only console sound. You can definitely set it up with with your PC instead but the audio won’t be the same.
You can get voice chat and game audio from ps5 with the elgato 4k60 pro mk2 in my pc using that adapter? No chat link pro?!

You’ll get chat and game audio recorded through the methods shown in this video. If you need commentary you’ll want a microphone plugged into computer

I had an issue where everything is set up correctly. The elgato software on pc was detecting my hd60s but it said no signal and nothing was popping up on my TV and pc. To fix this I had to go into the ps5 resolution and change it to 1080p and that worked for me. It was frustrating

How about when it comes to streaming and listening to the game and any notifications when streaming, does it still work or how do I connect them both
Do you know what would make the streaming audio cut in and out? Everything worked great before but I needed chat audio for streaming. I found this video and picked up the ASTRO A50. After setting it up, my game and chat audio now sound choppy and broken up when I play it back. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hey mate I've got absolutely no sound coming from my headphones i followed everything to the tee. I used the second method as well but as soon as i click chat audio sound disappears from my headset
any fix for this yet ?
