Bought one exactly like it in 1972 from my cousin when I was fourteen. I sold it back to him around 1984. I got the bike back five years ago. It had not been run but once since I sold it to him. His brother was the original owner and tried to do some restoration on it but gave up on it. I have the bike in boxes now and have acquired numerous parts (mostly NOS) off Ebay. The tank badges disintegrated and will need to be replaced as well as the tires. I hope to get the bike reassembled and running this summer. I rode that thing all through high school. They are really nice bikes and fast ones too. The Scrambler model had the fork boots and a side stand plus the cross bar on the handlebar and high pipes. Never saw one of those.
I have an 1967 Suzuki’s T200, bought it from a guy who drove it 3 summers and got drafted for the war, sat in his basement the entire time…all original with 5650 original miles….it’s nice to see and one running!!!
The bike did have the rubber boots on the front end, and the original ignition switch was mounted in the side cover opposite the oil tank. I had one of these in 1972. Ran great.
