It looks great Ben with that canopy. That landplane looks interesting. I hope to see it in action soon. Still pretty wet up here for any field work! Some wet snow falling right now. Take care
Yay...a canopy for the Little John, I think that was an awesome decision. The Land Plane I have some concerns about those two front angled blades.....it may work out..but we shall wait and see. Good Video as always Ben and I bet your dad will like that canopy..even though he said he didnt want one, it's always a little cooler in the shade lol
The John Deere looks great. You have got it set up perfectly for how you use it. Fantastic job on the land plane I can’t wait to see a video of it in use. Thanks for sharing another great video Ben.
Ben I pray that God blesses you and your family this hay season, there is a lot of work on the front side to get ready for the season, I also pray for your safety. I really like the John Deere modifications and I can’t wait to see how it works on gravel.
Looks like a good piece of equipment are you built I'd say it'll work pretty good too early to spread for me I'm going to wait about the 8th or 10th of April great video God bless
That’s when I’ve fertilized the last two years and ended up not getting enough moisture to help it after that point. That’s why I decided to try it early again. Thanks for watching
The canopy on the John Deere looks good,so do the wheel weights. I rented my pasture to my neighbor for hay and he’ll be fertilizing and spraying a briar infestation as soon as it dries up. Always enjoy your videos!
Love the canopy on my 3939R. I even hung a pair of light under the front edge of it on the frame. There are connectors down by the right rear wheels. One lesson we learned was to use a marine grade light switch.
Your getting the 5045E set up real nice, great job on the land plane. I ran tractors back in the 70 without a canopy, now-a-days I don't like running without one. I don't have any with a cab, my youngest son put a canopy on his Massey 285, but in 2021 my oldest son let me use his 4020 and it didn't have a canopy, but didn't have much of a choice. My White American 80 was down and I had to have the clutch and wiring replaced on it. You have some beautiful scenery out there and yes sir, the Massey 245 runs great! Good luck on the up and coming hay season, I hope you have a good weekend.
The JD looks complete with the new canopy,I like it.The land plane looks great also, should work very nicely for you Ben.Glad you were able to get the fertilizer spread earlier this year. With a little rain, those hay fields will take off.Enjoyed watching this video,I was there with you my friend.Take care, be safe and have a blessed day.🚜👍👏❤️🙏
The John Deere and land plane looks great! I know you probably get a lot of comments about fertilizing early and the way you farm and to do things a certain way but you do what works best for you and what you know works.
Yes it was a beautiful day yesterday, our temps got up to 77 degrees and the the rain started around dark and really hasn’t stopped, 45 this morning and still raining lol, yes i have to agree with Your Dad, the Ole 245 is sweet running, I’m you got some fertilizer spread before the rain come that help out tremendously, i was wanting to the land plane work, I’m wanting to build one and have kicking around some ideas, so I hope we get see it in action soon, really like the mods to the JD, especially the canopy that really going to make it nice on sunny days in the hayfields, I think filling the front tires will make a big difference to the handling, especially since you added more weight to the rear, if can add more in-depth pictures of the land plane would be nice, God Bless
How goes it Ben. Nice add on's. I just sold my kubota kommander pro z421 60cut 24hp kawasaki and bought a new john deere Z760r 27hp kawasaki 60 cut with a bagger system. Have you ever tried any of the john deere greases out yet.
@khtractors Ben I bought two standard tubes of the HD water resistant blue JD grease. They were 5.37 ea. That's what the techs in the shop used when they did the make ready for delivery when I picked it up. However I did price a new deck belt for the mower and is considerably higher than old mower I had at $180. Blades are running around $78 for the set. Just hope they last as good as the kubota blades did. We got a bunch of rain last night with a bunch of tornadoes in Oklahoma so it may be a while before I get to mow again. Calling for rain almost everyday this week.
That's the fence I need around my garden! That gate in the air was a good idea lol.
Yeah he meant business when he built that fence. Thanks for watching

I’m pretty sure our snow is over but it is getting cold tonight here. Probably will freeze the plants that are blooming. Thanks for watching

It's hard to beat an ole Massy Ferguson 245 orchard tractor.😊
You got that right! Thanks!
love the sound of that Perkins diesel. Man, she sounds good! Nice work on the Deere too.
This Massey sounds better the any I’ve heard. Thank you
The John Deere looks great. You have got it set up perfectly for how you use it. Fantastic job on the land plane I can’t wait to see a video of it in use. Thanks for sharing another great video Ben.

And the hooking up the pins on the land plane will depend a lot on how level everything is
That’s why one lift arm is adjustable, so you can hook up easier when the tractor and implement isn’t level.

Ben..did you notice how the floormat cuts back on vibration at your feet? I made a set for mine. I enjoyed the video. Be safe
Yes the floor mat helps in a lot of aspects! Thanks for watching
Them old massey’s sure sound good
Yes they do!! Thanks!
The canopy turned out good 👍🏻
Thanks 👍
I have the same size JD wheels and 3 weights per side is the max. You should be good to go.
Thank you!
Hello Ben, nice work on the attachment, Old Massie sounds good🚜🇺🇸
Thanks 👍

Love the canopy on my 3939R. I even hung a pair of light under the front edge of it on the frame. There are connectors down by the right rear wheels. One lesson we learned was to use a marine grade light switch.
I’d like to have some warning lights mounted in the canopy for when we are on the road. Thanks for watching

Land plane is looking good Ben! I bought one (my welding skills barely keep two pieces of steel together) and its been a great investment.
I hope it does what I’m wanting it too. Thanks for watching

Hi
Got rain yesterday so the fertilizer should be dissolved into the ground now. I think it will prove out well. Thanks for watching
@@khtractors do you have a good day all right
Are you ready for hey season this year

You're welcome

Thanks!!
@@khtractors you’re welcome Ben and least you are keeping your students busy with wielding projects
Great job Ben! What blend of fertilizer are you using on those hayfields? Triple 10 or a custom blend?
It’s a 16-8-24. Thanks for watching
Is all that property you fertilize yours or your family? Mark D. Florida
No it belongs to several different landowners. Thanks for watching
John Deere is looking good!
Thanks 👍
How far do you have to back up to throw a box blade on the John deere anyway
Not sure what you’re talking about?
How goes it Ben. Nice add on's. I just sold my kubota kommander pro z421 60cut 24hp kawasaki and bought a new john deere Z760r 27hp kawasaki 60 cut with a bagger system.
