That rock works well for building driveways. We dig down a few feet put a bunch of field stone and top with gravel for a driveway that holds up to heavy traffic. Moving rock piles is always interesting to find the reasons not to they started where they are usually a wet spot or a rock that was deemed unmovable
I feel you guys. Worked digging footers and water lines for my grandma’s house. Let’s just say the name of the community Rock House. Is very accurate 😂
Even if you guys are just moving rocks, I'll stop to watch because it's always refreshing and fun to see what's happening. Keep up the positive vibe, cheers fellas.
How come you are always running around in those old Dodges instead of the Fummins? Some of those rocks could make a nice rock wall on Nick’s sloped property where new house sits.
Back in the 60’s & 70’s when we would plow, disc, and drag before planting we would be out in fields with a stone sled picking up stones and dumping them in the fence rows. One day a guy asked my dad how much he would sell those stones for. I about fell over wondering why someone would pay money for rocks.
Could use that rock for some decoration for the new house perhaps. Or run it to a hardcore supplier , they might like the rock to crush down for hardcore.
This is not a question for the Welker family. I have a question for the people in the comments who are mechanics. My parents have a cub cadet 3x snowblower 26 in snowblower. They bought the cheapest gas for it and the would leave it sitting in the fuel tank all winter. I went to fire it up the other day and only ran on choke. When I would turn the choke off it died. So I drained the tank and put my gas in it ethanol free. Ran better but still only ran on choke. I heard of sea foam and I'm wondering if that stuff you work if I poured it in the fuel tank to clean up the carburetor. Thank you
lotta times it's the salts (salinity) that is comming from from WAY DOWN DEEP so if that be the case, fixin the top 1 or 2 feet ''for a few years'' will just end up with the salts/salinity filterin UP THRU the soil preppin you do.... ''right ???'' that is what my voice in da head say'd... have AN AWE SUM EVERY THING EVERY BODY !!!!! :)
This reminds me of Robert Frost’s poem, “Mending Wall.” I know this is not the meaning of the poem, but the truth is rocks appear out of nowhere and need to be stacked somewhere out of the way. According to Mr. Frost, good (rock) fences make good neighbors (again, not the meaning of the poem). One might as well stack them on the property line.
When your 4d and 8d batteries go dead as long as they don't have a dead cell you can get what they call a acid pack and replace the fluid in the battery with. Way cheaper then getting new batteries. Also to clean the battery terminals and all and even if you get the acid on you you can you citrus spray to neutralize the acid. Oh and if their is a dead cell just take the caps off and make sure none of the cells are dry. Replacing the fluid with that acid pack may help with that as well as long as none of the plates have came loose and touching. Tbh Scott you could prob fix that as well with your knowledge and skills.
guys tell me please are those head phones and mikes as good a they seem to say, send me a note very expensive up here in Canada so any thing better than those ear buds please et me know guys love the videos
very few people want rocks. very expensive as a building material and very hard to work with, making it very expensive project. maybe a lake shore wall on a high end place. other than that nobody wants em, due to the price and equipment needed to use em. that truck is taking a beating from those rocks and they are not moving them far. they don't have the equipment to deliver the rocks
5:55 sure would be cool to have a ROCK DOC (well GEO-oligistTYPEperson) with while scavagin thru that pile for ''rocks of preasuiousiousneseseness'' (gemstones inside the ugly outer shells) :) :) anyhow... that and are the KIDS gunna use those rocks to build a WALL ALONG THE CLIFF THERE ??? a little 2 foot ROCK WALL ?? a ROCK WALL FORT FOR THE ROCK CONCERTS???
*I* would HAVE to have one of those ROCK CUTTIN WEYT SAWSz that they cut the GEODS IN HALF AT THE FAIR WITH... ;) well they have one at our fair, fairly sure thy would have them most fairez... anyhow... *I* would be cuttin all kinds of rocks in half just lookjub for the purddy ones!! LOL
nobody wants them. maybe a high end home or lake house to build a retaining wall, but it is increbibly expensive. hard to work with and hard to transport, etc. thus very, very expensive building material. bottom line is nobody wants them. I don't want them, do you.
No offense, your rocks are ugly. Over here in Michigan, ours can be quite interesting. Also farmers sell their rocks to city folks to use in their landscaping.
Wish you guys (seems like all the Midwest utubers) would stop calling a wheel loader a “Payloader”. That’s the name that International Harvestor call their line. The rest of the world calls them “wheel loaders”.
Y'all sure are wasting a lot of income moving those rock. Can't you sell them to people in California for dinosaur eggs. They smoke enough dope out there they won't know the difference. Lol😂😅
Hi Scott, that 844 Volvo front loader has been a handy tool in the past loading trucks with 🌽corn & 🫘beans. I was wondering what the lift capacity of that machine is, I'd guess around 6 tons, am I far off with my guess? 🤔
Let's get rocking Guy's
The glaciers brought the rocks. There are no glaciers around now because they went back for more rocks.
Nice
Wish you could magically move a bunch of those rocks down here, to southern, Iowa to line some of our creek banks with
Lot's of fun moving rocks. I'm looking forward to seeing your Dad's video on the original Homestead. The Ol Timers picked up a bunch of rocks.
Great job cleaning the rock pile guys

Jeez I love watching this family! Clean family entertainment to boot.
My guess: Scott was listening to some *rock* music? 😁😁😁

Fixing up that old dump truck should be your next project. So cool looking,
Great video Welker Farms
Great job running the skid steer Bob
Great job running the payloader LegArms
Love the smoke rings from the dump truck!
That loader is a beast.
This video really rocks .
I'm always thrilled to see a post by Welker Farms!
You said you lacked gravel in that area. What you are lacking is a rock crusher !!
My gosh Welkers~ ~some of those rock piles must have been there for years and years!
The locking mechanism on your dump truck is so cute lol
Like my grandpa.. That truck blows perfect smoke rings.

You’ve got some sweet old trucks
Going to see the return of Bob's Big Bud Bin Boom?
Ouch. Those rocks are so hard on that aluminum bed
Hello 👋 Nick
Well done gents.. Thank you for the video.
Its gonna rock your world. Are there any house updates comming soon?
You should get a rock crusher & make hour own gravel for roads.
Could use that rock for some decoration for the new house perhaps.
Or run it to a hardcore supplier , they might like the rock to crush down for hardcore.
Got enough rocks to make a nice fire pit and pizza oven/ fire place at you new home.
Who said that "squeeky wheels get the grease?" 14:15
The music to start videos reminds me of lord of the rings.

Take the carb off and blow out the starch from ethanol. You have a plugged line in the carb. Or use carb cleaner ??
Couldn't you run a bunch of lime on those areas that won't grow anything or won't lime help neutralize it
Good question. 👍
I hope someone with more ergonomic/agricultural skills can help answer your question? 🤔
it is a never ending supply of alkaline coming out of the ground

have AN
AWE SUM EVERY THING EVERY BODY !!!!! :)
If you guys had a rock crusher like Andrew Camerata's, you could crush those rocks and make some nice roads.
maybe you should look into getting a small rock crusher
Warm the welder up

Just think about how hard someone worked to pick them. Did my share of that.
Where is the tillage footage?! You're killing me!
you think a landscaper would love to have the rock old glacier rocks
Hire a crusher to come in and crush for gravel rather than spend money for crushed product
God Bless!
That is what I call large scale rock removal.
With the assistance of some neighbors you should bring in a rock crusher to make some gravel.
That's gota be hard on a truck
Time well spent. 👍👍😎😎 When adding on to the house, we had a rock so big (VW Bug size), 6 feet down, we dug a trench beside and buried it. God Bless ✝✝
When u going to start doing video's like you did the last few years
I have paid over a hundred dollars for a ton of rocks just like those here in Louisianna.
Genuine "WELKER PET ROCKS"
This is unreal !
Isn't there a gravel company that cruches rocks around your area ?? Like a stone quarry ??
I'm 64 and when we picked rocks it was with a crowbar and stoneboat
That rock is so expensive to have delivered for landscaping here in my area.
People will the rocks
U should get a rock crusher and make stones out of them rocks

I wonder how many large meteors were in that pile 😂
Hoping for a longer video
Could you build rock berms to slow down the wind?
Those rocks are harder than a Diamond Billed Rock Peckers nose.
Great stone wall material... If I was local...would take for free... We are stone masons and that would sell for Huge money in New England Boston
guys tell me please are those head phones and mikes as good a they seem to say, send me a note very expensive up here in Canada so any thing better than those ear buds please et me know guys love the videos
you check the rock for any minerals?
Have a blessed day!
Most contractors pay big money for rocks from the rock quarry and they to deliver them to the different customers !!

Start a rock farm. Something to do in your spare time. lol just an idea.
U better keep that 4300 alive forever lol give it a make over like the 9370
I’ll bet your Dad sees what you are doing and swells with pride at his sons’ contributions to the farm.
Dam glasers leaving rock all over the place🤨

Can we trade, rocks for sand, in sw arizona
Just don’t move the rocks, to the place your grandchildren will need to move them from.
Looks like an old foundation or a rock pile from picking rock.
Cool
What fun and I volunteer for rock picking service. I so wish I could help good folks like you. Thank you and God bless.
How many hours over how many years were spent collecting that pile of rocks? Not even going to inquire as to the tonnage.
Thank Dad Sc0tt and NIcK......0'YES GOD BLESS
Old F-4 Shoe🇺🇸
Always look forward to the the farms progress even if its moving rocks ... Ty for sharing Nick enjoyed it .. God Bless
Sell those rocks!

@@hawks2252yes. I have a low area that is in need of fill. My road frontage needs them as well.
Just thinking of the poor folks before you that must have broken their backs picking them up.
Ģod Bless you 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
A whole week? Is that all?? Must be nice to farm somewhere where there isn't much rock.
