The oil from your fingers and fingerprints can cause some pretty interesting results when flame painting, so I choose to wear gloves. You can also use an oil like coconut oil to cause some interesting patterns, too.
BEWARE OF FLAMMABLE STUFF AROUND YOU, and oil, should you be using it. ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION. Stuff and things about safety and what I would think is common sense. Do not touch your tools once they are hot, because burning ;) Always have water or fire retardant around to douse anything that may be able to catch on fire. Insert more safety stuff here. :)
