I just bought a 3" pipe from the junk yard off a similar chassis, and ordered 3" to dual 2.5" y pipe, and 2 2.5" to 2.75" slant cut tips and I got the rear valance.
you can redo the bluing if you want. its just a coating from when the atmosphere reacts with the hot stainless comes off with rubbing compound. you can also acid wash it and it will come right off
Can you redo a video to get an idea how far your have to be with the flame and about how long you have to be on one spot before the color starts changing please
RIDER LIFE I haven’t even gotten a chance to put it on a car yet 😂 it’s gunna go on my girls subie when we boost it though, it still looks the same and will look the same unless the exhaust gets hotter than the flame it’ll turn the exhaust a color relative to how hot the exhaust gets, so the downpipe may get kinda gold, but the rest of the exhaust will stay the color it is
The tip you can see. But the welds that will be under the car that you cannot see he just did for practice. On a side note, whenever I build a project car or toy I like to put some small nice touches underneath because it ends up being on the lift a lot and when people are at the shop looking at it they can see all the nice little touches you put under there. I'm not saying spend big dollars on stuff that's only going to be under the car, but a few little things here and there
The reason the tip came out better is because it’s actually titanium that’s why it’s so thin. The rest of the pipe is stainless steel so it doesn’t do it as good.
@@DaveSimkus im not 100% sure but i think there’s a way to make stainless a deeper blue but i think it involves dipping it in oil after heating but I’ve never done it so im not really sure. Stainless will definitely blue but personally I don’t think it’ll ever look as good as blue titanium. But if you don’t have them side by side you’d probably never know the difference.
I bought a blitz nur spec r stainless steel exhaust which is 304 grade stainless steel. I can’t get it to turn blue only purple but it gets blotchy. Any ideas? The metal was turning red it was that hot when being heated
