- I eat at and review Kochi in Hell’s Kitchen of New York City. Kochi is a Korean Michelin Starred restaurant that features a 9-course tasting menu with a number of dishes that are served on skewers. I tried the $145 tasting menu along with a cocktail.

If you can find a deal go. There’s so many places to check out and the fish market is absolutely amazing. You can pick out anything you want and they’ll cook it for you right there. And this is gonna sound weird, but don’t get me started on how good kimchi dumplings are.

🙋♂️ (1) That duck jus looked more like a demi, but I couldn’t make out its viscosity on video. Was it super rich & thick? It looked like heaven from here. (2) Candied ‘chovies 👀 NEVER had em but sound INCREDIBLE! So much so that I wanna make a similar salad!

Thank you! I'm not sure on the specifics of it, but all I can say was that it was delicious! Yeah, the duck was pretty rich and had a nice thickness to it, but it was thankfully very tender as well.

Had my 31 birthday celebrating myself in Ikaro 1 Michelin Star restaurant in Quito - Ecuador, and it was one of my best birthdays ever, and one of the best meals of my life, hope you had an awesome birthday as well :)

The Ikaro with a Michelin star is in Logrono, Spain, though it does have an Ecuadorian chef. The Michelin Guide hasn't gone to Ecuador yet.
Ikaro comes to Quito EC ones a year for the last 3 years, Carolina and Iñaqui (who I know personallly) made this dream come true for ecuadorians, they maneged to travel with their crew to our city Quito and make an amazing experience for everyone who can afford this 🤭@@mosmarb

Jungshik in Korea was the best restaurant I've EVER been to. While we were there was so sad... I told the waiter "I can't enjoy this fully because I know very well this will be the best meal I have eaten and will ever eat".
I'm sure the NYC location is different, but .. yeah amazing.

Kochi looked a treat. Coming from an old guy who's still in pretty good shape, I hope you fulfill your dreams. You seem the kind of guy who'll look after body and mind, and that , I assure you, will keep you looking and sounding years younger. All the other stuff, like what's happening in the world, is also important and needs to be addressed, but they are issues we have very little control over. All the best, and thanks for the video !

Belated congratulations to your birthday. As a Korean American....these dishes were definitely a different interpretation of Korean cuisine tailored for haute cuisine. Still, the Michelin stars mean the chefs know their job. And the bi-bim-bop looked "good but different". Great video!

Happy Birthday young man. I love your content, production, and offerings. If I may, and as by no means offer this as criticism. I highly suggest you take an etiquette class in NYC. You will get so much out of it both personally and professionally and it will set you apart from everyone else as manners is dying art. Not to mention that women will notice and appreciate it! And lastly from an old man who also does not like his birthday, treat everyday as your birthday. Celebrate everything and live in the present NOW, for that is all that there is. One more offering if I may, this comes from the yoga/old part of me, and that is to train yourself to put down your utensils after each bite and savor your/the food. It is not only a healthier way to eat but will go along way for conversations over dinner. I hope all this is welcomed and helpful for you. The tasting menu looks and probably tastes amazing, the price was not too bad either. As for the chef's special being hidden. It is not the server's job to inform you. This is not the first time that it has happened to you if I recall. $24 for abalone I would have ordered even after the meal had started.
