The only ones they didn't reanimate were Mario's corpse being burned and laying there slouched and his shocked body laying there twitching. It's pretty obvious why those ones weren't remade
@@chrange9714animations exist in the switch version's data that are close to all of the original deaths so it seems at one point they were planned to be in the game, or maybe they were done as test animations
My question is, aside from the "less dialogue makes you relate to the character more" reason, why were some of the voice clips removed from the original? The laughing at DK part I can understand cause Mario is represented as a friendly guy and laughing at DK can come across as mean, but like at least lines like him saying "Mario vs Donkey Kong!" at the title screen should've stayed in imo

The remake ones are barely any different than the original's, the only two that are noticably different are his fire and shock deaths. Otherwise him falling off the screen as opposed to falling on his face or back achieves the same thing.

There's one more detail about death that people sometimes forget. 1- when you recover mini Mario in the + phases, when he touches the enemy or falls on the spikes, Mini Mario Explodes (Or Evaporates, I don't know, it just disappears), in the Remake They Removed and Remake's death is the same as Mario's. 2- when Mini Mario Dies when Mini Mario Says "Mama Mia!" Mario Also Speaks Mama Mia in the GBA Version, but in the Remake They Chose to Only Have Mini Mario Saying That And finally 3- When Mario dies (without being mini Mario of course) Mini Mario seeing Mario's Finished State, Mini Mario Starts Crying! (How come no one knew about this? And look, I've never seen a toy cry in any fictional work lol) But in the Remake they removed that (I think) Do Part 3! I was hoping to see a level editor in the switch version like the one you could access through some cheat codes in the gba version. Like, mario maker is fine, but I feel they could've made something big out of a level editor.

Also I dunno if that's what they meant, but in the original, some enemies were toys, but most of them were actual living creatures who lived in that environment. Now most enemies are toys that don't really have a place in these environments and their presence makes less sense.

He still expresses a wide range of emotions like a real human, being shown to be surprised, panicked, angry, and caring. Enemies like Monchies were still toys in the original, they just weren't shown to be very well. The remake fixes that, in fact the remake actually makes the birds real birds while the original had them looking more toy like. All of the toy enemies have a place in the environments because it fits the theme of the game and makes sense why DK would send toy enemies at you. Their presence makes the same amount of sense.

It's weird that they added additional animation details that the GBA lacked while also making a conscious decision to not reanimate some obvious ones.
